I watched as she danced around with her sister and the rest of the bridesmaids.
“You know one day that’s going to be her in that dress getting married.” I turned to Clay who was watching his daughters dance.
“Look Dom I know what you’re going through. I went through the same thing with her mom. Telling her was the best decision of my life.” He smiled watching Tatum dance around with Lorelai.
“I’m going to ask her to dance.” He nodded, and I went over tapping her on the shoulder. She turned smiling once she saw it was me.
“May I have a dance?”
“Of course.” I sighed pulling her into my arms. Her arms wrapped around me with her head against my chest.
“You look beautiful.”
“Thank you.” I leaned down kissing her forehead before sighing in content having her wrapped in my arms.
“Who knew you could clean up so well.” She moved her head from my shoulder smirking at me.
“You’re too kind.” I rested my forehead against hers.
“You know I can’t wait for you to be wearing that dress.”
“It’s not going to happen, Dom, I’m too broken.”
“Don’t do that to yourself.” I looked at her eyes, seeing love and nervousness. She looked at my lips before looking back at my eyes. Smiling I leaned in a little more and she didn’t move away.
“Kinsley.” One of the bridesmaids yelled. I looked over seeing Sawyer glare at the girl. She looked over to me mouthing sorry. I nodded letting Kinsley go.
“You better getting going.”
“Dom.” She said quietly, looking between me and her friends.
“Go.” I smiled at her. I walked over to Blake who was watching me.
“You should have just kissed her.”
“I know but Lucas is here too.” I groaned.
“I’m sorry man.”
“Shouldn’t you be mad I’m in love with your sister?”
“Probably but I know you will take good care of her. You have been there in a way that none of us can.”
“Thanks.” I smiled.
“Dom, let’s have a dance.” Sawyer came over pulling me over to the dance floor.
“I saw you two.” She smiled.
“It was nothing.” I shrugged not wanting to talk about it.
“But it could have. I’m going to kill her for finally ruining the moment.”
“Who knows if she would even like it.”
“Don’t sell yourself so short.”
“It’s just hard.”
“One day you’ll be here. Good luck okay, we’re all rooting for you guys. Now, I’m going to see my husband.” She kissed me on the cheek before going over to her husband.
“Dom come to dance.” One of the bridesmaids pulled me out of my thoughts. I watched as Lucas walked over with a sleeping Rowan in his arms. She smiled taking Rowan into her arms while they danced awkwardly.
“You okay?” I nodded looking down at Stef.
“Yea, sorry I’m going to get something to eat.” I pulled away from her and went back over to the table. Blake had Caitlyn wrapped up in his arms while Sawyer was wrapped in her husbands’ arms. I turned and saw my girl awkwardly dancing with her baby daddy. Rowan didn’t look very happy, so I decided to help him out at least.
“Hey, do you want me to take him?”
“No, it’s okay, I was getting ready to go feed him.” She smiled pulling away from Lucas and going to the room the girls got ready in. I sat down running my hands through my hair.
“Do you think I’ll get married someday?” She whispered looking down at Rowan.
“Of course, you’re going to get married someday.” I smiled.
“Yeah right. No guy is going to want me.” She frowned looking back down at Rowan.
“Any guy would be lucky to have you.”
“You have to say that, you’re my best friend.”
“Even If I wasn’t I would say the same thing.” I smiled, knowing how wrong she is. One day she will be wearing a beautiful dress and I will be on the other side. Everything will be right in the world.
I sighed walking through the door of Lucas’s apartment. Lucas carried a sleeping Rowan to his room as I followed him.
“Love you, buddy.” I kissed his forehead before he laid him down. We went back to the living room sat down on the couch.
“I saw you talking to Stef.”
“I’m sorry.” He sighed rubbing his hands down his face.
“Lucas honestly I’m okay if you started talking to her. I watched my sister get married to the guy that is so in love with her. I want that for both of us and I know you want that too.”
“This was over before it even started.” I nodded in agreement.
“I hate that it worked out like this. This might sound bad, but I did get lucky to have you as my baby daddy.” I smiled.
“I got lucky too.” He smiled.
“If you want to talk to her I approve. If its another girl just, please make sure it’s serious and I at least have met her before she meets Row.”
“Of course, and it goes for you too. We’ve both had a long day, so we probably should get some sleep before he wakes up.”
“Sounds good to me. Tomorrow we can figure out finer details.” I nodded going into the bedroom changing into more comfortable clothes before laying down. exhaustion overwhelmed me making me fall right to sleep.
“Say, morning momma.” Lucas smiled a bouncing Rowan in his arms.
“Morning baby boy come here.” I smiled pulling Rowan into my arms. He moved to get himself set up as I sat down.
“I think I’m going to move out,” I whispered looking up at him.
“You know you don’t have to do that.”
“I know but you know it’s not ideal for me to stay here. This place is not big enough for all three of us. If you do start talking to Stef or another girl, she’s not going to like me being here.”
“But we have a baby together.”
“I’ll stay here till I find a place. You know I will let you see Rowan whenever you want and your family too.”
“It’s just going to be hard not waking up to him, but I understand.”
“It’s not going to be easy, but we will figure it out.” I moved Rowan as he finished up and looked up his dad. Lucas smiled taking him into his arms. My phone went off letting me know Blake wanted to meet up.
“What do you think about going to see Uncle Blake?”
“How about I take him?”
“Are you sure?”
“Yea, the sisters want to see him so why not.”
“Okay. I just have to make a few bottles for him.”
“Sounds good.” I smiled kissing Rowan’s cheek before going into our room to make a few bottles. Lucas came in getting ready as I threw the bottles in the bag.
“Call me if you need anything.”
“I will have fun with your brother.”
“Love you, buddy be good for daddy.” I kissed his forehead before they left. Sighing I got myself ready before heading off to Blake’s. Caitlyn opened the door, pulling me right into her arms.
“Where’s my nephew?”
“With your brother and sisters.”
“Figures the one time I’m not there he brings the baby there.” she sighed pulling away, dragging me over to the couch where Blake was.
“Still sleeping. You happy it’s finally over?”
“Yes, she was driving me insane with the whole thing.”
“I can’t imagine. That poor guy having to put up with her.” He smiled pulling Caitlyn into his arms.
“Now I have to find a place to live?” I confessed.
“What why?” Caitlyn gasped.
“Things with Lucas are not working. We’ve agreed with this. Me moving out is what’s best for all three of us.”
“You can move in here?” Blake smiled making me frown.
“What are you talking about?”
“Caitlyn and I are going to get our place. There’s plenty of room for you and Row.”
“Are you sure? What about Dom?”
“What about me?” Dom walked in rubbing his hands down his face.
“Kins and Row moving in here.” Blake smiled watching Dom’s expression.
“Of course.” He smiled sitting down next to me.
“You do realize you will be waking up to a baby in the middle of the night.”
“I much rather have Rowan wake me up than some of the things that have.”
“Thank you.” I smiled leaning over kissing his cheek.
