Chapter 19

“What are you looking at?”

“You’re just so beautiful.” He smiled making me blush. Ever since we kissed I have been finding myself blushing when he is around.

“Dom.” I groaned, taking a sip of my water.

Sawyer walked in smirking at us making me glare at her. He reached for my hand, but I quickly pulled away from his touch.

“There’s my baby girl and grandson.” Mom smiled pulling me into her arms.

“Hi, mom.” I sighed taking in her comfort.

“Dom come here for a minute,” Daddy yelled, and Dom went with him. Mom pulled away, pulling me to sit down next to her.

“Tell me what is going on between you two.”

“Mom.” I groaned. How can I talk about it if I don’t understand what’s going on?

“Sawyer told me you guys kissed.” I glared at Sawyer making her smirk back at me.

“I don’t know what’s going on. He told me he loves me, and I’m confused.”

“I know what you’re going through, your daddy and I went through the same thing. We both took a risk and it turned out pretty amazing. I got to marry my best friend and have you guys.” She smiled.

“I always thought he thought of me as a little sister.”

“He didn’t want to freak you out.”

“I suppose.” I sighed looking at Rowan playing with his toys.

“Look honey I know you're confused but listen to what your heart tells you. Dom is not like the other guys.”

“Thank you.” I looked over finding Dom smiling at me.

“You ready?” He asked, and I nodded. He came over, taking Rowan from me, so he could put him in his car seat.

“Alright honey I will talk to you later.”

“Love you, sissy and little man,” We said our goodbyes and headed back to the apartment.

I got Rowan out and laid him on the floor, so he could play with his toys. Since he was content I went to my room to change real quick. Dom knocked on my door making me look at him.

“Can we talk?” I turned to him finding him looking broken.

“Dom.” I sighed.

“Please, I miss you.”

“Okay.” I smiled pulling on a hoodie. We walked into the living room taking our usual spots on the couch.

“What did you and my dad talk about?”

“Nothing important. Look when I told you everything last week I wasn’t trying to scare you.” I frowned at him.

“I’m not scared, I’m just confused. I love you, Dom.”

“What were you feeling when I kissed you?” I sighed looking away from him.

“I was shocked, but it felt right. Dom, you have always been there for me. I’m scared I’m going to lose you.” He pulled me onto his lap wrapping my arms around his neck.

“You never have to be scared to lose me.”

“How am I supposed to believe that?” He sighed looking down at Rowan.

“I’ve been there from the beginning. I’ve been there for all the good and bad times. I promise I’m not going anywhere. You having Rowan does not change how I feel about you.”

“Dom.” I sighed not knowing what to say.

“I love you Kins.”

“I’m confused.” Tears filled my eyes. His face fell, looking concerned and worried.

“I’m sorry. I don’t want to push you.” He tried pulling away, but I held onto him tighter.

“Kiss me, Dom,” I whispered.

“Are you sure?” I nodded, not knowing what I was doing. Slowly he leaned in, giving me time to pull away. I sighed feeling his lips against mine. He smiled pulling away placing his forehead against my forehead.

“I remember the first time you kissed me.”

“What?” I frowned looking him over.

“Blake’s going away party. You were so drunk. You probably were just going to kiss my cheek but got my lips first.”

“I can’t believe that. I’m sorry Dom.” Tears filled my eyes.

“What are you sorry for?” He smiled.

“I’ve put you through hell. You had to watch me with other guys then I got pregnant.”

“Kins, believe me, it was hard but now it’s my turn. When I found out you were pregnant I thought that was it. Everyone kept saying they knew you weren’t happy with him.”

“I hate to say I wasn’t happy because he doesn’t deserve that. We tried our hardest but in the end, it was right.”

“You guys made the best decision for yourselves and little man.”

“Thank you.” He smiled wiping my tears away. Rowan started crying making me pull away and go right to him.

“You hungry buddy.” I kissed his forehead bringing him over to the couch. He curled up, calming himself down.

“Are you sure your okay with him being here?” I turned to Dom, who was smiling.

“Of course. He’s a piece of you and I don’t want to change anything about you.” My heart skipped a beat as he gave me a breath-taking smile. He moved closer wrapping his arm around me. Rowan turned and looked at Dom smiling as he moved over.

“Hey, little man!”

“Just want cuddles huh baby.” I smiled sighing in content. I had both my boys curled up to me. Since Rowan was born I can finally say this is the happiest I’ve been. Dom leaned over kissing my cheek making me look at him. I’ve always seen the love in his eyes towards me but now I can see pure happiness and all the love.

“I want to take you on a date.”

“I just need to find a babysitter.”

“Rowan can come with us.”

“I appreciate that. Dom this is our first date and I want you to get my full attention.” He smiled leaning in pecking my lips making me sigh.

“What do you think little man, momma gives you a bath while Uncle Dom makes dinner.”

“Anything special.”

“No. I’m fine with whatever.” I smiled taking Rowan into the bathroom to get him ready for a bath. He smiled, squirming around on the floor. This little boy is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I kissed his cheeks before laying him in the water.

“Do you want to spend time with grandma and grandpa or Aunt Sawyer?” He smiled playing with his toys making me smile. It seems crazy to be going on a date with Dom but then it feels so right. I got Rowan out, curling him up in his towel.

“Love you, buddy.” I kissed his forehead putting him in his pajamas. He squirmed rolling around trying to get away from me. I scooped him up making him laugh as we made our way back to the living room.

“Is momma funny or something?” Dom looked up at us and smiled.

“Thanks, you’re so nice to me.”

“Dinners almost ready.”

“I’m going to feed him. Will you make me a plate please?”

“Yea.”

“Thank you.” I curled up with Rowan helping him get his nighttime snack. Slowly his eyes started to close, and his breathing slowed down.

“I love watching you with him.” He smiled bringing a plate over for me.

“Why, because you get to see my boob?” I smirked making him shake his head.

“No, you’re just a natural with him. The way you both look at each other is something I’ve never seen before.”

“When you have your own you’ll have the same feeling.”

“Be careful what you wish for.” He smirked making me blush.

“Thank you for dinner. I’m going to get him in bed and go to bed.”

“Sleep tight.” He took my plate while I got up and went to my room. I gave him a quick kiss before laying him down. I sighed changing into more comfy clothes. Climbing into bed, I felt so alone. Rowan was right there but it wasn’t enough. Quietly I got up and went to Dom’s room.

“Hey, everything okay?”

“Yea. Umm.”

“Come here.” I smiled going over and curling up to his side. He sighed in content wrapping his arms around me.

“This doesn’t seem real.”

“How come you’ve never told me?” I asked him, interlocking our fingers.

“I was scared, and it never felt right to tell you. I didn’t know how you felt, and I didn’t want to scare you off.”

“If you would have told me things could be so different.”

“You’re right, but then you wouldn’t have Rowan.”

“Maybe it was all worth it. In the end, I get my perfect little boy and a guy that loves me unconditionally.”

“I’m not going anywhere.” He smiled kissing my cheek. I turned pressing my lips to his, taking him by surprise. His arms tightened around me as he pulled me closer to him.
