“Mr. Morris, I was wondering if I could talk to you.”
“Sure, let’s go downstairs.” I nodded, following him down to his office in the basement.
“So what can I do for you, Colin?”
“You know I love McKenna so much and I would do anything for those girls. I would like your permission to marry McKenna.”
“I appreciate you coming to ask me, but I’m not the one you should be asking. Sophia is the boss lady in all of this.” I nodded.
“You're right, I just wanted to ask you before I asked Sophia.”
“Just take care of my girls. They both have been through a lot.”
“Now go ask Sophia.”
“Thank you, sir.”
“Good luck.” I smiled as I headed back home. Sophia was in her room playing with her toys.
“Hey Sophia, can I talk to you real quick?” She nodded and came over to me.
“I need you to tell you something, but it's super top secret.”
“No, she doesn’t. Right now just me, you and poppa know.”
“Promise you won’t tell mommy or anyone.”
“Yes.” She smiled.
“What do you think about mommy wearing a white dress?”
“Pretty.” I smiled nodding.
“What do you think about mommy getting married to me?”
“But daddy?” She frowned.
“Will still be your daddy? Mommy will be my wife and I will be her husband.”
“Me and sissy?”
“Are a part of our family.”
“So am I getting a yes?” She nodded and I quickly pulled her into my arms hugging her.
“Remember no telling mommy.”
“Okay.” I kissed her cheek and went into the living room where the other girls were. Ellie was curled up against Mckenna as they laid against the couch.
“What were you two talking about?”
“Top secret mommy.”
“Oh, yea.” She smiled.
“Hey, I think your daddy wants to see you.”
“Okay!” I walked over, pecking McKenna’s lips and kissing the back of Ellie’s head.
“You’re up to something.” She looked between us.
“Nope.” I smiled at her and sat on my chair.
“Tell me.” She groaned.
“Fine, I will get it out of Soph.”
“No, you won’t.”
“Oh, I will. You should have just told Ellie.” She smirked.
“Don’t worry, you will find out sooner or later.”
Tonight was the night that I was going to propose to McKenna. Both of our families were going to be there, but they are going to be hidden so McKenna doesn’t get to specious. The girls were going to be with our moms so they were taken care of.
“Babe, do I look okay?”
“Yes, you look beautiful.” I smiled at her and she smiled back at me.
“I’m ready.” I nodded and we left heading to the park.
“I feel so empty without my babies.”
“I know it’s weird not having at least one with us, but you will see them soon.” She nodded and we pulled up to the park and got out.
“Do you want to get something to eat first or go for a walk?”
“Let’s get a corn dog.” I nodded, wrapping my arm around her taking her to the corn dog stand. We ordered and got our corn dogs while we started our walk.
“It’s nice being just us for a change.”
“It is.” I smiled, leaning down kissing her forehead. We walked a little bit then Sydney came out with the first letter.
“Syd, where is your mom?” Mckenna gasped looking at her niece. She smiled and landed her the letter and ran off again.
“What is going on?”
McKenna, I thought you were beautiful when I first laid eyes on you. As our relationship went on you showed me just how beautiful you are. Bringing our daughter into the world was not easy. There were so many times I wanted to yell back, but I knew you were just in pain. I love you so much and I can’t wait to go through many more experiences with you. I love you McKenna Shae.
Tears filled my eyes as I turned to look at him. As if on cue Marry you by Bruno Mars started to play. Sophia came running up and stood next to Colin. Somehow when I was reading that he got ahold of Ellie. Sophia reached up and handed me another letter.
I can’t imagine spending my life with anyone other than with you and our kids. I would love for us to become a family officially. Baby, will you marry me? I looked up and found him on one knee holding Ellie while Sophia stood next to him.
“Yes.” He picked up Sophia and leaned in kissing me with both girls joining in. I giggled pulling Sophia into my arms kissing her.
“This was your top-secret mission huh.” She smiled and nodded her head while hugging me.
“I love you, I love all of you.” I pecked his lips again before getting a kiss from Ellie. The rest of my family came over and I bawled as my mom came over wrapping her arms around me.
“Mommy, I’m getting married.”
“I know baby.”
When I had Sophia, I thought I was never going to get married. Now I’m getting married to the most amazing man and I couldn’t be happier. I can’t wait to be curled up to him tonight.
We hung out with our family and friends for a little while then took the girls home putting them both to bed. Colin was already in bed when I ran in, jumping on him and he wrapped his arms around me.
“Babe, we’re getting married!” He smiled leaning up kissing my lips as he flipped me over.
“We sure are baby.”
“I love you.”
“I love you too.” He brought his lips to mine and I wrapped my arms around him pulling him close.
“There’s my girl.” I smiled as she ran over jumping into my arms.
“I missed you.”
“Missed you, daddy.”
“Love you baby girl, I will see you tomorrow.”
“Love you, mommy.” McKenna kissed her cheek and Sophia hugged her.
“Call if you need anything.”
“I will.” McKenna left and I turned back to Sophia.
“So what’s been going on?”
“Mommy is getting married.”
“What?” I gasped, feeling my heart shatter.
“Mommy is getting married to Colin.”
“Did Colin ask you if he could marry mommy?”
“Are you okay with it?”
“Yea.” I nodded and turned away from her. It hurt like hell knowing McKenna was getting married. No matter how hard I tried, I can’t get over her.
“What do you want to do?”
“Can we watch a movie?” I nodded and turned on a movie for her and she curled up with me. Having Sophia helped me forget about what was going on and just focus on her.
“Love you princess.”
“Love you too.” I kissed her forehead and we continued to watch her movie.
“Hi princess, come give me a hug.” She ran over to her mom and hugged her, that’s when I saw her ring.
“I see a congratulation is in order.”
“Yea, um I’m getting married.”
“I’m happy for you. He’s good to you guys.” She nodded and gave me a half-smile.
“Go say bye to daddy.”
“Bye daddy, love you.”
“Love you too princess.” I kissed her forehead and cheeks letting her go back to her mom. They left and I quickly called my buddy Josh over.
“So what’s up?”
“She’s getting married.”
“Who, baby momma?”
“Dude, you have to let her go.”
“I know dude, it’s hard especially when we share a daughter.”
“Come on, let’s go out to get a drink and get you laid.” I nodded and we went out to the bar and he quickly got me a drink.
“Hi, what’s your name?”
“Rickey, would you like to dance?” She nodded and I wrapped my arms around her and started to dance. She was different and felt good. We danced for a while and drank some more until I finally called for a cab.
“You coming with me?”
She smiled and nodded her head. I smiled down at her and pressed my lips to hers making her giggle. The cab came and I gave him directions to my place. She quickly straddled me as we got in the car. Once we got to my place I quickly took her to my room and laid her down.
