Chapter 16: Anxious

Luna’s POV:

“Fine...but I swear if you break another phone of mine, I’ll bite your face off!”

I said threateningly to him.

“Really? More biting? Now I’m getting excited!”

He voiced happily as he snuggled himself along the base of my neck! The feeling of his warm breath passing down my collar bone made my body shiver with delight. His lips grazed against my skin teasingly as well as his fingers that were slowly inching up my skirt. Pressing my lower region gainst his shaft, I began to playfully grind against it very slowly. Hearing Eli release a small growl, he grabbed my inner thigh! It was only then that I was able to feel something hard being pushed against me! I didn’t think he would get this easily hard just by me doing something this simple. I was then caught by surprise once he grabbed both my inner thighs and started to grind himself against my slit! Despite still having my underwear on, this sensation was driving me insane!

His sudden actions made me bring both my hands to cover my hot mouth that was now breathing heavily with pleasure. I didn’t want to moan, it was still too embarrassing to have Eli hear me sound so pervy!

“Luna...Luna...you have no idea how badly I want you right now! I just wanna rip off this little skirt of yours and pull down those cute pink panties you have on.”

He whispered so seductively close to my ear, his erotic voice made my lower part quiver for attention at thought of having him doing those things...

“Then...why don’t you?”

I muffled my words out as I knew I was playing a dangerous game once I asked him to. But I just can’t help myself from falling for his touch, I always seem to want more...

“Is that you giving me permission, Luna?”

He asked devilishly while licking my earlobe! It was getting harder to suppress my moans that were building up inside me that I couldn’t bring myself to answer him! All I could do was nod my head to the desires of what my heart wanted! He then quickly tighten his hold on my thighs and stopped what he was doing, slightly turning my head to look at him, I saw the envy in those beautiful blue eyes of his...

“As much as I would love to strip off your clothes, I don’t think it would be enough time for me to enjoy everything.”

He said while giving me a gentle smile as he brought his lips closer to mine. Our kiss was short and I was a little disappointed that Eli wanted to end things here...

“Luna, I want your first time to be something that you will remember for the rest of your life. And right now, I don’t want it to be rushed, besides...I promised you that we would watch a movie together and I think we could do that now.”

He explained as he avoided my confused stare, he then got off of the couch and made his way towards the TV, and began browsing for a movie for us to watch.

I don’t know what made him change his mind so suddenly, but maybe he’s right. My first time should be romantic and something special for me to remember. I guess I was too caught up in the moment to not notice those things...

“What kind of movie do you feel like watching.”

Elijah asked, bringing myself back from my inner dirty thoughts, I smiled at him before deciding on what film we should see...

Throughout the rest of the remaining hours we had left, we watched movie after movie until it was time for Eli to take me home. I’m still surprised I ditched school, it hasn’t even been a month yet and I’m already playing hooky! Oh well, missing one day of school isn’t so bad I guess.

As we got in his truck soon after, I gazed out through the window and watched the autumn leaves sway back and forth as they slowly fell from the trees. The drive back was a bit sad since I would have to be apart from Eli. It was fun playing house for a while though, minus the arguing and having him break my phone...

Despite that, I love being with him. So I took the time to enjoy the drive back home as I admired the ring that Elijah had given me. It’s really beautiful that I couldn’t stop staring at it, he said it was important that I wear it all the time. I already promised that I would, but why can’t I take it off?

Feeling the truck coming to a stop, I knew we had finally reached my house. But I continued to look at my ring and was wondering where he got it? It just doesn’t look like a mood ring to me no matter how many times I stare at it. The many colors that constantly change inside, as well as the outer ring that seems to glow from time to time. This just doesn’t seem like a normal ring to me...

“Eli, where did you say you got this ring from again?”

I asked, however, when I went to look at him I saw Eli gripping the steering wheel so tightly that I could see his knuckles turning white! His eyes weren’t even looking at me and I’m glad he wasn’t because I saw nothing but hatred and disgust in those eyes of his. Following his glare, I was shocked to see that Ren was talking casually to my Father on the front porch! Quickly turning around, I looked back at Eli who held an angered expression, so I immediately grabbed one of his hands and held it tightly!

“Eli, don’t worry about that. Just go home for today and will see each other at school tomorrow, okay?”

I said as I tried to block his view, he then averted his gaze back at me and held my hand firmly not wanting to let it go...

“Alright...I’ll get going before I do something I’ll regret.”

He responded trying to sound calm, but I know that deep down if my father wasn’t here, he wouldn’t have hesitated of getting off the truck to hurt Ren again...

“I love you, so...don’t overthink about this,” I said reassuring him, he then pulled my hand towards his lips and placed a gentle peck on the back of my hand before releasing it.

“Yeah...I’ll see you later.”

He said unsurely as he gave me a faint smile. Making sure to grip his hand one more time, I let him go before stepping out of the truck. As I watched Eli drive off down, I thought back to his uneasy smile that he gave me earlier. I wasn’t sure if it was from seeing Ren or if it was something else that was bothering him...but he seemed, almost sad when I let him go.

“It’s always one thing after another,” I said to myself quietly.

Turning myself around, I began walking towards the entrance of the house. Though I knew I had to talk with Ren, despite what Eli told me about staying away from him, I know that Ren is harmless. But I wasn’t sure if staying friends with him secretly would be a good idea...

“Oh, welcome home. How was school?”

Father asked as I approached the front porch.

“Hey, it was fine...” I answered unknowingly, my father still thinks I went to school. So I have to make sure I don’t blow my cover.

“Oh okay, and how are things with you and Eli? Were you able to talk things through?”

He asked in curiosity, giving Ren a glance I saw how concerned he was looking at me. Though my attentions were solely focused on his busted lip that had a cut on it, followed by his black eye that was almost swollen shut...he had a few cuts and bruises around his face as well. I still can’t believe that Eli did this to him, I feel so horrible that Elijah took it this far. I need to make sure he apologizes for what he did to Ren at the very least...

“Umm...yeah, things are...good now.”

I was too distracted by Ren’s injuries that I couldn’t concentrate on answering my father’s question.

“You know what, I think I’ll leave you two kids to talk. If you need anything I’ll be inside.”

Father suggested, giving me a small kiss on the top of my head. He excused himself as he entered the house and closed the door behind him. Seriously, the first thing Elijah tells me to do is to stay away from Ren. Yet here I am all alone with him now, I hate how complicated things have been becoming for me...

“How are you, Luna?”

Ren asked as I watched him take a seat on my front porch...

“I think I should be asking you that, did you go to school with those injuries?”

I questioned him feeling guilty...

“No...I stayed home, I’ll be going tomorrow though. Hey...I called you this morning...but you didn’t answer. Are you mad at me?”

He asked sounding nervous...

“What! No...no of course not. You didn’t do anything wrong for me to be upset at you, I just...lost my phone at school today...that’s why I wasn’t answering.”

I said as I felt more horrible lying to him, but how can I tell Ren or anyone that Eli broke my phone out of anger and jealousy?! People will start thinking he’s crazy or something...

“Oh, well I’m glad you aren’t upset with me. Sucks about your phone though, I was calling to see how you were feeling this morning. I mean, after the party...things went really crazy, so I thought I would drop by and properly apologize to your dad for my actions last night. But I’m also here to tell you something really important.”

He said while giving me an intense worried look...

“Ren, you didn’t do anything wrong. You were just trying to help me out, the one who should be apologizing is Eli. But he is just too stubborn sometimes, so I don’t know if you’ll be hearing an apology from him anytime soon. Anyways, what is it that you have to tell me?”

I said while taking a seat on the porch, however, I made sure to leave a gap between Ren and me. Though the distance that I put, didn’t stop Ren from grabbing my hand so suddenly! Shifting my eyes towards his I noticed how anxious he was becoming!

“Ren...let go, if Eli were to find out-”

“It’s about Elijah!”

Ren abruptly cut me off from saying anything as his trembling hand kept holding on to me!
It’s as if he’s afraid of something, but of what?

“So this important thing that you have to tell me, it involves Eli?”

I asked averting my gaze back at Ren. He nodded his head silently, gripping my hand more firmly as he shifted his body closer to me.

“Luna, listen...I know I’ma sound crazy when I say this...but, that night when Elijah and I were fighting...now I could be wrong with what I saw...but when I was on the ground, I noticed that Eli’s eyes...were turning pitch black...they looked demonic almost, but only for that split second did I see it. His eyes quickly went back to normal when you were trying to hold him back. But that stare that he gave me...I really thought at that moment he was going to kill me...”

As he finished speaking, I had no words to say. I knew that Ren wasn’t lying by how much his hand was trembling. His voice sounded shaky as well, along with the worried stare that he was giving me. But perhaps, Ren got hit too hard in the head that he started seeing things, that’s a possibility. Though I can’t tell Ren that, I’m sure what he saw was just his mind playing tricks on him. Pulling my hand back, I stood myself up from the porch in a heavy sigh...

“Ren, are you sure that’s what you saw? It was really dark outside that night, so maybe what you saw was just a misunderstanding?”

I said to him as I thought back to my childhood with Elijah. I’ve known him my whole life and I never noticed anything strange or out of the ordinary...

“Luna! I know what I saw! I know it sounds insane, but I promise you...his eyes turned black! He looked like a monster!”

Ren voiced out sounding very stern, I then watched as he released my hand and got up from my porch...

“You know what, I don’t want to get into it right now. I just finished arguing with Elijah this morning and we were able to make up finally. The last thing I wanna do is have a conflict about this matter...Eli, he’s just a regular person like you and me. I’ma head inside, so just drop this conversation.”

I said to him as I got off the porch and began walking to the front door, I’ve already felt drained enough as it is...

“Luna! Please listen to me, I think Eli is a dangerous person and I don’t trust him. And I don’t think you should trust him either, he’s not a good person...I don’t even think he’s human-”

Completely ignoring Ren, I quickly shut the door behind me, not wanting to listen to any more of Ren’s ridiculous accusations. I thought Eli was crazy but Ren just takes the cake! Leaning myself against the door, I shut my eyes and heard Ren’s footsteps slowly fading away as he walked to the far-off distance...

“Is he insane?! Of course, Elijah is human...right?” I asked myself quietly.
