Chapter 16: Anxious

Luna’s POV:

“Fine...but I swear if you break another phone of mine, I’ll bite your face off!” I threatened him making myself feel cozier on the couch.

“Really? More biting? Now I’m getting excited!”

He voiced happily, as he brought his face snuggled up against my neck. The feeling of his warm breath passing down my collar bone made my body shiver with delight. I felt his lips grazing behind my neck teasingly as well as his fingers that we’re slowly inching up my skirt. He never knows when to stop, does he! Fine, just like yesterday...two can play at that game! I said to myself feeling daring.

So I decided to press my lower part against his shaft and began to playfully grind against it very slowly. I suddenly heard Eli let out a small growl as he grabbed my inner thigh. I could now feel something hard being pushed against my skirt, I didn’t think he would get that hard that easily just by me doing something this simple. Out of nowhere, Eli had grabbed both my inner thighs and started to grind himself against my behind.

His sudden actions made me bring up both my hands to cover my hot mouth that was now breathing heavily with pleasure. I didn’t want to moan, it was still too embarrassing to have Eli hear me sound so pervy!

“Luna...Luna...you have no idea how badly I want you right now! I just wanna rip off this little skirt of yours and pull down those cute pink panties of yours.” He said whispering close to my ear. His erotic voice made my lower part quiver for attention at thought of having him do those things to me.

“Then...why don’t you?” I said muffling my words out, I knew I was playing a dangerous game once I asked him to. But I just can’t help myself from falling for his touch, I always seem to want more.

“Is that you giving me permission baby?”

He responded devilishly licking my neck. It was getting harder to suppress my moans that were building up inside me, I couldn’t answer him with words. So I just nodded my head shakingly with desire in my heart. He then quickly tighten his hold on my thighs and stopped what he was doing, I then slightly turned my head to look at him and saw the envy in those beautiful blue eyes of his.

“As much as I would love to strip off your clothes, I don’t think it would be enough time for me to enjoy everything.” He said giving me a gentle smile as he brought his lips closer to mine. Our kiss was short but it still put a smile on my face.

“What do you mean, ’not enough time?” I asked him still feeling his hard shaft being pressed up against my butt.

“Baby, I want your first time to be something that you will remember for the rest of your life. And right now I don’t want it to be rushed, besides.....I promised you that we would watch a movie together and I think we could do that now.” He said while avoiding my confused stare, he then got off of the couch and made his way towards the TV, and began browsing for a movie for us to watch.

I don’t know what made him change his mind so suddenly, but maybe he’s right. My first time should be romantic and something special for me to remember. I thought to myself still laying down on the couch.

“Luna, what kind of movie do you feel like watching.” Bringing myself back from my inner thoughts I responded to Elijah’s question.

“Umm.. something comedy maybe.”

“That’s what I was thinking, alright comedy it is!”

Throughout the rest of the remaining hours we had left, we watched movie after movie until it was time for Eli to take me home. I’m still surprised I ditched school already, it hasn’t even been a month yet and I’m already playing hooky! Oh well, missing one day of school isn’t so bad I guess.

As we got in his truck I gazed out through the window and watched the autumn leaves sway back and forth as they slowly fell from the trees. The drive back was a bit sad since I would have to be apart from Eli. It was fun playing house for a while though, minus the arguing and having him break my phone.

But other than that I love being with him, we began conversating about the movies we watched earlier until we were reaching close to my house. I took the time to look down at my right hand and admired the ring that Elijah has given me. It’s really beautiful that I couldn’t stop staring at it, he said it was important that I wear it all the time. I already promised that I would, but why do I always have to wear it?

I could feel the truck coming to a stop and I knew we finally reached my house. I continued to look at my ring and was wondering where he got it? It just doesn’t look like a mood ring to me no matter how many times I stare at it. The many colors that constantly change inside, as well as the outer ring that seems to glow from time to time. This just doesn’t seem like a normal ring to me.

“Eli, where did you say you got this ring from again?”

I asked shifting my gaze towards him. However, I looked at him feeling worried as I saw Eli gripping the steering wheel so tightly that I could see his knuckles turning white, as well as the jaw being clenched with force.

His eyes weren’t even looking at me and I’m glad he wasn’t because I saw nothing but hatred and disgust in those eyes of his. I decided to follow his glare to what he was staring at, and to my shocking surprise, my eyes landed on Ren who was talking casually to my Father on the front porch.

I quickly turned myself around and looked back at Eli. However he was still glaring at Ren, I knew he was getting angrier by the second. So I grabbed one of his hands and held it tightly.

“Eli, don’t worry about that. Just go home for today and we’ll talk about it tomorrow at school, okay?” I said trying to block his view at who he was glaring at. He then averted his gaze back at me and held my hand firmly not wanting to let it go.

“Alright...I better get going before I do something I’ll regret!” He responded trying to sound calm, but I know that deep down if my father wasn’t here, he wouldn’t have hesitated of getting off the truck to hurt Ren again.

“I love you, so...don’t overthink yourself about this,” I said reassuring him, he then pulled my hand towards his lips placing a kiss on the back of my hand.

“Yeah...I’ll see you later baby.”

He responded unsurely as he gave me a faint smile. I made sure to grip his hand one more time as I let go. Stepping out of the vehicle, I watched as Eli drove off down the street disappearing as he turned the corner. I thought back to his uneasy smile that he gave me earlier, and I wasn’t sure if it was from seeing Ren or if it was something else that was bothering him.

“It’s always one thing after another,” I said to myself quietly.

I turned myself around and began walking towards the entrance of the house, I knew I had to talk with Ren. Despite what Eli told me about staying away from him, I know that Ren is harmless. Though I wasn’t sure if staying friends with him secretly would be a good idea.

“Hi sweetie, how was school?” My father asked as I approached the front porch.

“Huh? Oh..uh it was fine...I learned a lot today I guess.” I answered unknowingly, my father still thinks I went to school. So I have to make sure I don’t blow my cover.

“Oh okay, and how are things with you and Eli? Were you able to talk things through on the ride there?” He asked wondering. I then glanced at Ren finally who was staring at me with a concerned look. I couldn’t help but notice his busted lip that had a cut on it followed by his black eye that was almost swollen shut.

He had a few cuts and bruises around his face as well. I still can’t believe that Eli did this to him, I feel so horrible that Elijah took it that far. I need to make sure he apologizes for what he did to Ren at the very least.

“Umm...yeah, things are...good now.” I was too distracted by Ren’s injuries that I couldn’t concentrate on answering my father’s question. I was still looking at Ren’s wounds, not paying any attention to my father who was right next to me.

“You know what, I think I’ll leave you two kids to talk. If you need anything I’ll be inside.” My father suggested, giving me a small kiss on the top of my head. He then excused himself as he entered the house closing the door behind him.

Seriously, the first thing Elijah tells me to do is to stay away from him. Yet here I am alone with him, I swear my life is so complicated now that I’m a high schooler!

“How are you, Luna?” Ren asked taking a seat on the front porch.

“I think I should be asking you that, did you go to school with those injuries?” I questioned him feeling bad.

“No...I stayed home, I’ll be going tomorrow though. Hey...uhh I called you this morning...but you didn’t answer. Are you mad at me?” He asked sounding nervous.

“What! No..no of course not. You didn’t do anything wrong for me to be mad at you, I just...lost my phone at school today...so that’s probably why I wasn’t answering.” I said lying through my teeth, how can I tell him or anyone that Eli broke my phone out of anger and jealousy?! People will start thinking he’s crazy or something.

“Oh, well I’m glad you aren’t upset with me. Sucks about your phone though, I was calling to see how you were feeling this morning. I mean after the party things went really crazy, so I thought I would drop by and properly apologize to your dad for my actions last night. But I’m also here to tell you something really important.” He looked at me with an intense worried look.

“Ren, you didn’t do anything wrong. You were just trying to help me out, the one who should be apologizing is Eli. But he is just too stubborn sometimes, so I don’t know if you’ll be hearing the word ‘sorry’ leaving his lips for a while.” I explained to him as I sat myself down on the porch next to him, however, I made sure to leave a gap between us. Though the distance that I put, didn’t stop Ren from grabbing my hand tightly. I shifted my eyes towards his and noticed how anxious his eyes were getting.

“Ren..let go if Eli were to find out-”

“It’s about Elijah!”

Ren said abruptly cutting me off. I then looked down at his hand that was holding mine and noticed how much he was trembling. It was if he was afraid of something?

“So this important thing that you have to tell me, it involves Eli?” I asked averting my gaze back at Ren. He nodded his head silently, gripping my hand more firmly as he shifted his body towards me.

“Luna, that night when Elijah an I were fighting...now I could be wrong with what I saw...but when I was on the ground, I noticed that Eli’s eyes....were turning pitch black...they looked demonic almost, but only for that split second did I see it. His eyes quickly went back to normal when you were trying to hold him back. But that stare that he gave me...I thought at that moment that he was going to kill me...”

I had no words of what to say to that, I knew that Ren wasn’t lying by how much his hand was trembling. His voice sounded shaky as well, along with the worried stare that he was giving me. But maybe Ren got hit too hard in the head that he started seeing things, that’s a possibility! Though I can’t tell Ren that, I’m sure what he saw was just his mind playing tricks on him. I pulled my hand back as I stood myself up from the porch.

“Ren, are you sure that’s what you saw? I mean it was dark outside that night, so maybe what you saw was just a misunderstanding?” I asked explaining to him. I wasn’t scared by what Ren told me if anything I was just confused. Eli was someone I’ve known for a very long time. I’ve never noticed or seen anything strange like that happening to him.

“Luna! I know what I saw! I know it sounds crazy but I promise you when I say his eyes turned black, they really did! He looked like a monster!” Ren said sounding confidant as he stood himself up looking at me with such a serious stare.

“You know what, I don’t want to get into it right now. I just finished an argument with Elijah and I don’t wanna start a new one with you! I already told you what I think you saw, and whatever you have to say I’m not going to believe it!” I said sounding frustrated, I then turned around and made my way to the front door opening it.

“Luna! Please listen to me, I think Eli is a dangerous person and I don’t trust him. I don’t even think he’s human-”

Completely ignoring Ren, I quickly shut the door behind me not wanting to listen to any more of Ren’s ridiculous accusations. I thought Eli was crazy but Ren just takes the cake! I leaned myself against the door frame shutting my eyes, I could then hear Ren’s footsteps slowly fading away as he walked away from my house.

“Is he insane?! Of course, Elijah is human...right?” I asked myself quietly.
