Chapter 38: Awakening

Elijah’s POV:

(Side note: Time goes slower in the under realm)

“What should I do with you?”

I growled at the human girl laying on the cold floor, she resembled that of a corpse already. Maybe I should just kill her and feed it to the warlocks outside of these walls? But then again, I could still use her body for a little while longer...

“Please...”

Hearing her whimper in pain, I grabbed her by the hair, lifting her head high enough for me to hear. The unpleasant grunts that left her mouth as she cried amused me as her body trembled. The blood that was trickling down past her forehead showed how hard I threw her to the ground early. And her naked body was completely covered and bruises that it was hard to tell what her natural skin color looked like...

“Speak up, or I won’t hesitate to rip off that tongue of yours,” I said to her in annoyance until she finally opened her mouth. Her words echoed throughout the dungeon floors...

“Kill..me...”

She cried out as she looked up at me, her eyes seemed to have lost the color of hope already. I saw nothing but emptiness in her soul, I don’t think even devouring her heart would be worth a meal. Yanking her hair tightly, I threw her body viciously against the hard concrete wall! As her body slammed against the cold wet hardened floor, her bones could be heard breaking as she spilled blood out of her mouth...

“This is fucking boring,” I said to myself feeling agitated as I brushed my hair back.

As I buckled up my pants, I made my way out of the cellar. However, I came to a sudden halt when I heard the human still wheezing in utter agony...

“So your still alive? I should have thrown you harder.”

I voiced out loudly enough for her to hear, giving a pleasant smirk, I saw her half-broken body laying down on her own blood. Humans are so disgusting and so messy to deal with...

“Carla!”

Calling out her name, it didn’t take long for her to appear before me in a black mist surrounding the cellar. Watching her come to her knees, she bowed her head in respect...

“Yes, my Lord, you called?”

She asked while keeping her head down...

“Try and see if you can fix that half-broken body over there. If not, then just throw it to the valley streets and let the warlocks do whatever they want with it. Just be sure to take off its collar if you.”

I commanded her as I exited the room shortly after...

“Yes, my king.”

She responded as I made my way up the stairs, opening the doors I saw many naked women lying unconscious on the floor. Some were dead with their hearts being ripped out of their chests, while others laid there waiting and wanting to die. Some held the look of death in their eyes, they looked like they were completely hallowed and didn’t care what was happening to them anymore. However, some still begged and cried for their lives to be spared. A pathetic sight to see and I couldn’t help but just laugh as I watched them cower. However, I still hate the smell of human blood...

“Crow, what did I say about cleaning up after yourself!”

I raised my voice in annoyance as I stepped on the bodies laying out in front of me...

“Sorry brother, I was going to clean up after I was done,” Crow responded as I watched him rip a girl’s chest open.

Her painful screams could be heard throughout the halls until she finally became silent. Her beating heart was now in Crow’s hands as he began to consume it with his wild addiction. Yet that didn’t stop him from still fucking the corpse he was holding until he was satisfied...

“You either fuck it when it’s alive or eat the heart when it’s dead, you can’t do both dumbass!”

I said in frustration as he continued to make a bigger mess with the corpse.

“I know it’s a useless fuck when it’s dead, but it’s such a waste of a good body don’t you think?”

Crow explained as he stood himself up to look at me...

“That’s why you fuck it when it’s alive. There’s no point in doing it once it’s dead. You won’t gain any life energy from it once its soul has been removed.”

I said to him as I approached where he was standing...

“I know, it’s just so hard to control this demon inside me ever since I made a contract with it.”

He explained as he wiped the remaining blood from his mouth...

“Listen, I know how difficult it is to maintain control. But if you can’t do it, it will consume you and you will die. Just how I almost did back then,” I said.

“I already know that little brother, a lot more than you’ll ever know.”

He bluntly stated as I gazed into his demonic pitch-black eyes...

“Watch how you speak to me, we may have fathers blood running through our veins. But I am still your king, so don’t think I won’t kill you just because we’re half-siblings.”

I growled threateningly as I yanked his shirt!

“Now now, let’s not fight over something so trivial.”

I suddenly heard Emily’s voice coming from behind me as she latched on to my arm. Seeing that she was naked once again, I could smell the heavy stench of male blood leaving her breath...

“Put some fucking clothes on Emily!”

Crow shouted with annoyance as he pulled himself away from me. He then stared at both of us with uneasiness in his eyes before dragging some of the bodies down into the cellar where we would have the corpses be burned.

“He’s such a hothead, isn’t he,” Emily responded with a snicker as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

“How about we both go upstairs and have some fun, it’s been so long since I’ve last held you close to me.”

She said with a twisted smile as she leaned her lips closer to mine...

“Emily, if you’re still unsatisfied, then go downstairs with the humans or go with Felix,” I replied before pushing her away.

Turning myself around, I began to take a few steps away from her until she spoke, her confession never seems to move me. This heart of mine remains the same...cold and empty.

“You know you’re the only one that can satisfy me, Elijah. Why can’t you see that? All this time since you’ve been here...it’s always been you who I’ve cherished! How can you easily tell me to sleep with someone else!?”

She explained with frustration and passion in her voice as she grabbed hold of my hand! But I instantly dug my claws around her neck the moment she touched me, if she was fragile as a human...her neck would have snapped with the amount of force I was using.

“Don’t you ever raise your voice at me! I don’t fucken care if I am the only one that can satisfy you...a witch like you will never give me what I desire,” I growled with fury in my voice as I heard her struggling to breathe.

Even her eye color was beginning to change black as I peered closer into her, she held on to my arm with her trembling hands as she tried to speak...

“I...I’m...sorry..”

She cried out in tears, releasing her neck. I watched her fall to the ground gasping for air as she grunted in pain...

“Where’s Felix?”

I asked while walking away, Emily could be such a pain in the ass, however, she is the only one that can almost satisfy me. Yet I gain no type of energy when I fuck her...I sometimes wish it could be enough. But it’s not, Emily...I wish you weren’t so useless.

“He’s...in his room...”

She responded faintly as she grabbed hold of my ankle! Looking down, I noticed that she was smiling at me in complete pleasure. I keep forgetting that she loves feeling the pain I give her, it’s almost satisfying to see her weep beanthe my feet.

“My King...you could be rougher with me if you want...as long as I’m all you need, I’m okay with it,” she said while wiping her tears as laid on the ground like a dog in heat.

Seeing her fingering herself in a flirtatious motion, she stared deeply into my eyes. But the disgusting scent of human semen could be smelled leaving her womb as she kept playing with her wet pussy. It’s just as Felix once told me, our sister Emily...will always be a deceitful witch. But one thing is certain, at least...she knows her place in this world of mine.

“Don’t touch me,” I warned her as I pulled myself away.

As I left her with the pile of corpses, I made my way upstairs. The dramatic moans could be heard leaving her mouth as I stepped further away. It wasn’t until I reached Felix’s room that I heard a different sound. The faint melody coming from the hall, it was the piano again. He always plays that instrument, I wonder why? Reaching his room, I let myself in as I spotted him sitting down at the same spot near the balcony. His piano was quite big, it was white and a very old antique from what I can tell...

“And what do I owe the pleasure for his highness coming to my room,” Felix asked as he continued to play his song.

“Can you play anything else that’s less depressing, I haven’t seen you in over a year and you’re still up here playing with that thing,” I said as I made my way in his direction.

Watching his fingers come to a pause, he removed himself from the keynotes of the piano and stood himself up. Taking a small bow, he seated himself down again...

“You call it depressing, I call it...calming. I’m glad to see you’re doing well Elijah, but that’s to be expected. After all, you do take after our father,” He said with a smirk.

Averting my gaze, he looked out the window...waiting for what I had to say.

“I’m not here to discuss the past with you, I’m here to give you an order,” I said with a demanding growl.

“Your word is my command...my king,” he responded casually while grabbing the stuffed bunny doll near his desk.

If I remember correctly, I think Emily once told me that bunny once belonged to her when she was little. It’s difficult to picture her as a child...

*

After my conversation with Felix was done, I decided to go back to my room. Shutting the door behind me, I ripped off my shirt that was still covered in human filth, revolting! Throwing it across the room, I sat myself down on the bed, inhaling deeply. I then heard the same melody beginning to play once again, it was very faint but I knew Felix was playing his piano again.

“Luna...”

Calling out her name in silence, I looked out the window. Image’s of her face began to flash in my mind again, her small fragile body that I haven’t held in years. Her sweet voice made me feel so calm when I listened to her. I can still replay all the memories in my head, I don’t know how many times I’ve tried to push these thoughts away. But no matter what I did...I always end up thinking about her.

As I opened the drawer next to me, I pulled out the mirror that I haven’t looked into in months. I couldn’t handle what I was seeing, the sight of how happy she was without me. How was she able to move on so freely with someone else!? Just watching her body get soiled by that disgusting scum of a human. It made my skin crawl and my blood boil, it made me want to go berserk just even picturing them together...here I thought I knew what heartbreak was when I had to leave her. How wrong I was, nothing hurts more than seeing the person you love being with someone else.

“Show me...Luna.”

Saying those words made me realize just how long it’s been, there was a time where I would constantly see her...always wanting to know what she was doing. But I would regret it because I would always see him next to her. Gripping the hand mirror tightly, I finally saw her appearing after so long. I thought I would be filled with happiness being able to finally see her again, but instead...utter rage and the urge to kill are what I felt within me. Watching Luna take her pregnancy test’s and the results were what made me want to kill anything on sight. The way she rubbed her belly with tenderness and the way that she smiled. It was clear in my eyes that she was going to have a baby, his baby...the thought of that put my mind at a breaking point!

“I’ll kill him! I’ll kill him and his unborn child!”

I growled ferociously as I threw the mirror across the room! The shattered glass went everywhere as it hit the wall! My bones began to crack and my room began to shake! all the windows in my room shattered into tiny fragments, the broken glass scattered as I stood there on my own two feet. My inner demon was craving to go on a rampage, I couldn’t put it into words how angry I was. The melody of the piano came to a sudden stop as I heard multiple footsteps coming towards my room!

“My Lord! What’s wrong!”

Emily yelled out with worry as she barged in...

“Emily, you can’t just walk into his room unannounced!”

Felix shouted from behind as he entered the room as well...

“What the hell is going on?!”

Crow responded loudly as he came in a hurry...

They all watched in horror as my eyes were a solid black, my fingernails have turned to sharp claws. And the horns on my head became visible for them to see, this is what I was. What we were, a devil that everyone feared...

“Carla,” I viciously called out her name.

As I continued to stare at everyone with killing intent, I was so close to losing control that I almost lost myself to the darkness that was swallowing my heart. No one, in this world can ever control me once I lose all of reality...

“Yes! My king.”

Carla quickly voiced out as she rushed into my room in fright, she was afraid of my appearance since anyone who did see my true form never lived to see the next day...

“Prepare an extra room, one with a lock,” I ordered her.

Trying to not lose my composer, I watched her take a bow as she quickly left to carry out her duties. Turning myself around, I began to take a deep breath in and tried to keep myself from doing something I’ll regret...

“Anyone who values their lives, leave this room,” I said while bringing my hands into a tight fist, the sound of my knuckles breaking could be heard.

And without a single word, I heard them all leaving my room...except for one of them.

“Did you not hear what I said, Felix!”

I shouted as I turned myself around, quickly approaching him I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt!

“I heard you loud and clear, Elijah. I just have one question?”

He calmly said as he stood there unfazed by my threat, the lack of fear in his eyes ran deep. He wasn’t afraid of me, he never has. But I guess it’s because he and I are almost matched in strength. Letting his collar go, I pushed him away from me as I grabbed my jacket off the chair...

“Are you going to bring her here?”

Felix asked with a bit of hesitation in his voice...

“What I do, is none of your concern,” I quickly responded as I placed the jacket on.

“I understand, I’m just saying that bringing her here, will cause...some consequences.”

He explained out of concern before leaving the room, closing the door behind him. I then looked at the shattered window and noticed that nightfall was coming...

“Raven,” whispering her name, I waited for her to come from the shadows.

It’s really unfortunate for me that she can’t come out during the daylight, the only time I can speak to her is during the night. It didn’t take long to feel her heavy presence forming behind me as I continued to look at the night sky...

“Yes, my king.”

I heard her respond as he came walking towards me...

“I think, it’s time I pay a visit to the human world,” I said to her as she came standing next to me. I couldn’t see her face as it was covered by the thick black hoodie she always wore...

“After all these years, you still couldn’t forget about her? You must know Elijah, that it’s been 6 years in the human world. However, time goes very slow in this realm, it’s only been less than 3 years since you finally took control of your power. Are you sure you wish to go, you have changed drastically to how you once were?”

“I have my reasons to go to the human world, you will not question what I do. You will only follow what I say, do you understand.”

I strictly said to her as I watched her bow, making my way toward the door I went ahead and opened it...

“Now then, make sure everything is in order until I get back. And make sure to inform the others of my absence...”

“Of course, but when will we expect you to come back home, my lord?”

“It shouldn’t take too long. After all, I’m just taking back what belongs to me,” I said to her as I exited the room.

Luna, I think I made you wait long enough. You’ve gotten too comfortable with your new life, it’s time for you to come back to me... whether you like it or not.
