Chapter 26

“I’m going to get Greyson to come over here and help me look into the parents of your students. I also need to call Cody Ling and get the information on your coworkers, I’ll call the airline and my mom,” he shared standing and taking her dishes. She followed and pushed him out of the way when he went to clean the dishes he’d used to cook with.

“Only fair, you made me breakfast, I’ll do the dishes and you can get on your calls. I’ll bring you my list of students once I checked in with my principal. I cannot be handing out that information without permission,” she explained, she knew her principal would be okay with it because it was for the safety of everyone in the school.

“Okay, thank you.” He leaned down and gave her a soft kiss before heading upstairs, she assumed to get dressed. Getting to work cleaning the dishes she thought about the students she taught. She knew several of them were from shifter families, but none of them were of single parents. The job of washing the dishes was done quickly, and she moved on to getting in touch with her principal.

“Hello Ellie, why the early phone call?” Sheila’s voice sounded tired on the other end of the phone.

“I have something I need to talk to you about and it cannot wait until we get back to school after the snow days,” Eloise explained, she sat on the sofa with her cup of coffee.

“I take it something bad has happened?” Sheila was a very smart woman who almost always knew when one of her teachers was in trouble.

“I’ve had a stalker since the school year started, he has been placing notes in my desk at school, on my car, and my apartment door. I’ve enlisted the help of Marcus Zephyr and his protection agency to help find my stalker. He wants a list of the parents of the students in my class,” she explained.

“I know Marcus, he is a very reliable bear shifter. Why do you need the list?”

“We are almost certain my stalker is a shifter, and he wants to be able to eliminate as many suspects as possible. He is going to have his background researcher look into the families discreetly,”

“Does he think it is a parent at our school?” Sheila sounded concerned.

“I don’t know, it is someone who was able to get in and out of school easily. I find a note in my desk after the weekend without fail on Monday after my planning time. We have a meeting so I am not in my room during that time. The notes have escalated into him wanting to physically assault me, so now I am staying at Marcus’ home to keep him from finding me as easily,” she explained, sipping on her coffee.

“Go ahead and give him the list, I don’t like the idea of someone walking around our halls and easily getting into classrooms. Do you lock your door?”

“Always, which is why it concerns me. I want to keep our students safe and if someone is getting inside intent on hurting me, I don’t want them near the students.” Eloise felt sick to her stomach at the thought her students could get hurt because of this crazy stalker.

“Give him the list, I can send over the staff information as well. I know he can get the information from the police but I am the ultimate source of all information about the people at our school. I am also the only one who knows which are shifters and which students are not. I try to protect the privacy of families who don’t want others to know.”

“Wow, thank you. Can you send it to my email and I will give the lists to Marcus?” she asked, she didn’t think it would be this easy to get Sheila’s agreement. Handing out information about families could get her in serious trouble.

“I will do it right now, if you want Ellie, take the rest of the week off. I don’t think we are going to be able to get to school until Wednesday at the earliest,” Sheila answered.

“No, Marcus wants to get a look at the school and see if there are any weak spots in our security. I also have assignments to hand back for the students to correct over the break,” she explained and heard Sheila sigh.

“Alright, I’ll see you when we get back to school with your new bodyguard in tow. I’ll see about getting him a security badge for while you are at school. I know how bears are, they are very protective over their loved ones.”

“We aren’t a couple,” Eloise argued, a sharp stabbing pain entered her heart when she said it aloud. They hadn’t actually decided to start dating, they were just going to tell his family they were. When they first made love he said he wanted her to be his girlfriend, but he never truly asked her.

“I can hear it in your voice when you talk about him. I expect an invitation to the wedding. Bye for now.” She hung up before Eloise could set her straight, she so badly wanted her to be right about their relationship.

“Eloise,” Marcus called, she looked up to see a concerned look on his face.

“Yes?” she replied, she didn’t understand why he looked hurt.

“I thought we were dating,” he commented, coming over to sit on the sofa next to her, his large body radiating heat.

“Are we?” she asked.

“Yes, I thought telling my family we were dating was what we were doing,” he answered, taking her hand in his.

“You didn’t ask,” she pointed out and his eyes widened. With a smile on his lips he leaned over and nipped at her bottom lip. Instantly her pussy became wet and another pair of underwear in need to be thrown in the wash.

“Will you be my girlfriend?” he asked, she nodded and he kissed her hard enough she fell back into the couch cushions. He followed her down, never breaking the kiss, his tongue dove into her mouth. He didn’t just kiss her, he possessed her, his tongue exploring her whole mouth. Her hands slipped into his soft hair and tugged, she needed him again. Wrapping her legs around his waist she moaned into the kiss, the long bar of his erection pushing through his jeans into hers.

“Oh my,” she gasped, when she was able to grab a breath. Marcus didn’t let her be for long, his mouth slipped down to her neck and he bit down sucking until she knew he’d left a blooming mark on her neck. There would be no hiding the hickey placed on her neck.

“That is so hot,” she moaned, and he moved down to leave another below the first. Arching into his chest, she pushed her breasts into his hard body wanting to feel more of him.

Knock, knock!

She jerked out of his arms and he growled at the door.

“That would be Greyson,” he growled, and very slowly got up off the couch, Eloise quickly fixed her appearance, there was nothing she could do to hide her hickies now.
