“College girls are hot! I’m so glad your sister decided to grace us with her sorority sisters and herself!” Violet looks down from her room balcony and noticed her sister and Bianca both laughing, talking to each other as if they know each other for a long time.
“Why did your sister decided to come here of all places? I thought she went to Iceland,” Audrey asked, wondering.
“She’s here to be with Bianca. I think my sister likes her,” Audrey sigh, wrapping her arms around Violet’s shoulder.
“Do you like her?” Violet shrugged her shoulder but she knows the fact that she has the same feelings whenever she saw her sister talking to Bianca like Gianna did with Richard. It’s jealousy.
“I want my sister to be happy since she’s going to spend whole of her life being the head of the mob after my parents retire. If Bianca is the reason for her happiness, I should be happy too,” Audrey pulled her friend towards her.
“What about your happiness? Don’t you want to pursue those who mean something to you? You should fight for your love, Vi. If you don’t want to hurt Gianna, pursue Bianca. If you don’t want your sister to get hurt, pursue Gianna. That’s all you need to do,” Violet shakes her head no.
“I’m happy that my sister found someone she wants to spend her life with and I’m happy that Gianna and Richard love each other. You should be with Hadley, Audrey. I think she’s waiting for you,” Violet pointed at a figure whose waving at them both.
Audrey excuse herself and leave Violet alone to her own thoughts.
“Miss Violet, your guest has arrived,” Violet nod when the maid informed her about Richard’s arrival. She doesn’t know why she did what she did but Gianna deserves to be with her loved one on this trip. She smile when Gianna surprised to see Richard running towards her.
They hug, kiss and one thing lead to another. Violet took a deep breath before facing the maid.
“Get my yacht ready. I’m going home to Vista. You don’t have to tell everyone about it. My sister can take care of them,” the maid nod.
“Miss, are you okay?” Violet gave her an assuring smile.
“I’m fine. Don’t you see? I just being Cupid!” Violet chuckled but it doesn’t reach her eyes.
“I’ll get everything ready by midnight tonight,” Violet smiled, glad that the maid understands her. She looks down at the garden again to see everyone gather on the picnic blanket with Victoria talking with Beck animatedly.
Gwen and William kissing each other while Audrey and Hadley feeding each other with sweets. Gianna and Richard seem like in deep conversation, and Bianca listened to what Victoria and Beck’s talking about.
“VIOLET! JOIN US!” Victoria waved for her sister when she noticed Violet’s looking down on them.
Violet smiled and waved her hands, telling them she has something to do. Victoria was not convinced but knowing Violet, it’s best not to pressure the teen.
“Bianca, can we meet again tonight? I have something to say,” Victoria asked before Bianca nod.
“The beach at night is amazing!” Bianca dropped her slippers on the sand and just went to play at the water. Victoria watched her with a smile on her face.
“Hey Bianca, do you like my sister?” Bianca froze before looking up to Victoria. To be honest, there’s a moment where she had a vision of being with Violet but not until Victoria came along, changed it all.
“To be honest, there’s a time where I actually feel happy to be with her. But I know she has feelings with Gianna still and it pains me. Until you suddenly texted me a few days ago, giving me lots of funny jokes and selfies of you being funny with your friends, it made me laugh rather than jealousy. I know it sounds crazy but I feel, well, I feel like I’ve known you for years now,” Victoria smiled.
“I’m glad you feel that way because I want to get to know you better. Bianca, I’m serious now and I want to be with you. I never feel so sure in my life ever! I see you as someone who will be at my side forever. I want to be in your life, Bianca,” Bianca was speechless with the sudden confession.
“But we just know each other,” Victoria took her hand in hers and smiled.
“We have all the time in the world to know each other. That’s why I suggest we learn about each other before we both make a decision if we want to get this to another level. What do you say, Bianca?” Bianca wanted to say something but she doesn’t know what to say at this moment.
Victoria kneels in front of Bianca with her hands in hers.
“Bianca, I want to know you better. I don’t care about your background as long as I have you. I know I have my own shortcomings, but I can change myself to be with you. That’s how far I’m willing to do as long as you wish to be with me,” Bianca frozen in her place.
“Bianca?” Bianca nod.
“You really mean it?” Bianca nod again while Victoria smiling wide.
“Thank you... thank you trust for me. I promise I won’t make you sad while we’re getting to know each other,” they hug, but this time it’s different. They actually embrace each other with trust and comfort.
Violet saw them as she walking towards the pier. She smiled before she continued to walk towards her waiting yacht.
“Miss Violet, are you sure you wish to leave her here? I thought you want some peace and quiet,” the maid said as they walk up to the yacht.
“There’s nothing peaceful and quiet about this island anymore. I just want to be in my room,” Violet went to the sitting area, asking for some strong coffee from the maid.
“I won’t be needing any sleep tonight. Sleeping for cowards,” Violet said as she opens her book to read.
“Hey mom, dad,” Violet smiled as she seated on the dining table. Luca and Auriana were surprised to see her home earlier than expected.
“Vi? When did you get home? I thought you’ll be back the day after tomorrow,” Violet took a sausage and eat it.
“Yea. I’m the only one who’s single over there and I don’t wish to be a bother,” she smiled at her parents who look at each other.
“Are you okay, honey?” Auriana asked, wondering if she’s okay or not.
“I’m amazing. Did you know Tori likes Bianca? Finally, that woman found someone who she can love purely and not because of lust. I’m proud of my sister,” Luca kick Auriana’s foot below the table.
“Honey, do you have something to say to us?” Violet look up to her parents, shaking her head no.
“I don’t think I have anything to say. Why?” Auriana looks at her daughter with hopeful eyes.
“Just say the words, I’ll do it. I’ll do anything for you, you know that right?” Violet laughed but it didn’t reach her eyes, not even one bit.
“Anything?” Violet asked, just to make sure.
“Anything, we’ll do anything,” Violet smiled.
“That’s great. I want you famous roast chicken with your world famous lemon sauce,” Auriana was taken aback. That’s not what she meant by she’ll do anything for her daughter.
“That’s it? You want to have that for lunch?” Violet nod.
“Mom, sometimes, it’s best to just be happy for everyone even though you’re suffering in the end. I had enough trying to convince myself that everything will finally be okay once I fight for it. I know it’s not your policy to give up but I’m tired mom, I’m so tired of facing this kind of thing. I’m not angry at Tori for doing such thing and I don’t hate Richard for loving the same woman I love. I’m just tired of feeling this burden on my chest,” Auriana took Luca’s hand and squeeze it.
Her daughter is hurt but they can’t do anything about it. Auriana thought that it’s not fair that she has to suffer alone!
“Vi...,” Auriana was at loss at words.
“It’s fine mom. If I ever found someone who actually likes me for the way I am, you’re the first one to know,” Violet pushed her plate away and excuse herself. Luca looks at her plate and sighs heavily.
“Ana, she didn’t finish her food. That’s so not her. She never unable to finish her food like this. Ana do something!” Luca’s genuinely worried about his daughter.
“When Tori comes home, I’m going to lecture that bitch until her ears bleed! She knows how important this is for Violet but she ignores it! Ugh! Why does she have to have your attitude!” She blamed Luca for Victoria’s action.
“She is my daughter. I don’t blame her that she has your bloodlust,” Luca froze when he realized what he had said.
“What’s that about my bloodlust?” Auriana smiled at her husband. Luca covered himself before his wife shove his head on the plate. He hates himself for liking it too much!
“Welcome home. Tori, come with me,” Victoria was weirded out but she follows her mother towards her private office.
“Tell me what happened at the island. Don’t tell me that you didn’t realize Violet went home earlier than expected,” Victoria shrugged.
“We noticed she was gone since we saw the yacht wasn’t at the piers. Then one of the maids told us about her departure that night. Basically, nothing exciting happens except that I manage to get Bianca’s attention and we’re in process of knowing each other. Can we make this quick? She wants me to be at this diner to see her work,” Auriana was speechless.
“What do you think Violet will do once she knows about this? Tori, she probably has feelings for Bianca as well! How could you simply take her away from your sister?” Victoria sighs heavily.
“Look! I got enough lectures from Audrey, I don’t need any from you as well. Mom, you told me to find the person I willing to spend my life with, and that person is Bianca. I don’t want to be force marrying someone of your choosing. I agree to take over the business but please let me find the person I love myself,” Victoria said leaving Auriana dumbfounded.
“But Tori, Violet...” Auriana was cut off.
“Mom! Violet’s a big girl, she can handle herself. If she wants Bianca, she would’ve claimed her before I do. Come on! I gave her three days alone with her but she never makes her move!” Victoria turned to the door.
“If you’re done, I’m going to see my future partner,” Auriana throw one of the books at the door to get Victoria’s attention.
“Shut yo and listen to me for once Victoria! Sit down!” Auriana pointed at the couch. Victoria knows better than to disobeyed her mother.
“Your sister was hurt because her crush dated her current boyfriend. You, out of all people should know how she would feel! You, snatch the person she finally has her eyes on right under her noses! What kind of sister are you?! What kind of monster have I raised? Tori, listen to yourself for once. What have you done to Violet?” Victoria actually.... frozen up.
“I... I don’t know... I just... I just want to make her kind mom,” Victoria beginning to think about her actions against her sister.
“She likes Bianca? Why didn’t she say anything?” Auriana sigh, patting her daughter’s cheek.
“Because she’s Violet. She never says anything if it involves her feelings for her people she loves. That’s your sister, always thinking of somebody’s happiness but not her own,” Victoria looks down on her thigh, thinking of her mistake.
“This is something you kids need to deal with yourself. I ain’t going to put my hands, twiddling into your love life, not again,” Auriana decides to leave Victoria thinking about her own mistake.
Even a mother knows which time stay away.
“Violet? VIOLET! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” Audrey forcefully turns her friend’s body to face her. To Audrey’s surprise, Violet’s mouth was full.
“What’s up with you?! I’m eating!” Violet said with her mouth full. She swallowed her chewed food before facing the others.
“We thought... you... you were eating alone! We thought you do drugs!” Violet laughed while watching her friends.
“Look at me! Do I look someone who does drugs? Geez, Audrey! I was just hungry and I thought eating while I’m waiting for others is the best way,” Violet finishes her burger and throws the wrappers.
“Are you going to Gianna’s barbecue party this Friday?” Violet raised her hand and nodding her head vigorously.
“I can’t do no to barbecue beside I’m bringing the meat,” Violet said with her mouth still full from the burgers. She swallowed while the others chuckled at her action.
“Are you sure? I heard it an engagement announcement, dimwit,” Violet shrugged.
“I’m only there for the barbecue. What happens at the party is none of my concern,” Violet looks at Gwen who sighs.
“Gwen, wanna go with me to the barbecue? William’s busy right?” Gwen nod.
“Busy with another bitch,” Violet went to Gwen’s side, nudging her side with her elbow.
“Oh don’t be that way, I promise to bring you to the movies and dinner after all. What do you say? Don’t be angry at him and have fun with me instead, okay?” Violet wiggling her eyebrows at Gwen.
“Besides, there’s a new restaurant open up in the city, I want to try it out,” Violet smiled at Gwen.
“Serious Violet, you and food, how should I separate you from them? When we have the same math class you told me that the triangle looks like a pizza,” they chuckled except for Violet who genuinely thought the triangle looks like a pizza and not because she was hungry at the time.
“What? It helps me to study! Anyway, Gwen, so, you coming or not?” Gwen nod.
“I guess so. It’s not like I have something even better to do anyway,” Violet smirk. She knows it’s easy to lure Gwen to her clutches. She looks like a goofy cheerleader who cares about her weight that Gwen’s far from that.
She’s actually gluttonous for her looks.
“As long as you promise to bring me to that all you can eat buffet for lunch tomorrow. Mama needs to eat!” Gwen muttered into Violet’s ear.
“Deal,” Violet smirk as she knows that the woman who used to bully her finally falls to her own demise.
“So, what are you guys whispering about? We heard eat and deal,” Audrey fake a gasp.
“Don’t tell me you plan to eat Gwen Violet! What will William say about that?” Gwen scoffed.
“He can say whatever he wants since I know he’s sleeping with that bimbo from the volleyball team. That bitch needs to learn a thing or two about snatching my man,” they laughed except for Gwen who’s clearly angry.
“Ugh! Don’t laugh at me!” Gwen pout.
“Waitttt!” Violet sigh before she grabbed something from under her jacket and showed Gwen a pocket size mirror.
“Do we always have to do this? Your make up is perfect! It didn’t smear or anything now come on or we’ll be late for the movies!” Violet was about to go when Gwen pout again.
“You know! That’s the 12 times today, it doesn’t work every time! I’m not William! Now let’s go!” Gwen yelp when Violet pulled her into the movies and buy them two tickets.
“We’re lucky that it’s still available. You know how famous this movie is? Last time I went here, I waited for hours just to know it’s been sold out,” Gwen scoffed.
“What’s so great about this movie? It’s just a romance movie based on a book,” Violet gasped, genuinely.
“Bite your tongue woman! The Larove Movie is about women empowerment! You don’t get to see this kind of movie with romance, revenge, and gore at the same time! The author is a genius! She plays with her reader’s emotion every single time! She’s a God!” Gwen chuckled at Violet who seems to be so into this author.
“Alright, I’m sorry. Let’s enjoy this movie, okay?” Violet smiled.
“Yes! And if you’re a good girl and enjoy the movie like I told you to do, I’ll even buy that handbag you always told me about,” Violet shrugged while Gwen’s mouth formed a perfect ‘O’.
“For real?! But that’s like so expensive! Even my parents ignore me when I asked about it and they’re rich!” Gwen wrapped her arms around Violet.
“Eh, I have a few doughs to burn since my grandpa gave me some money for helping him with his computer.” Once again Gwen went speechless.
“Seriously, how much did he gave you?!” Violet count using her free hand.
“A few,” Violet smiled. Who would’ve thought that she’s going to be this close with her bully of all people? They both went to watch the movies, they cry, they were angry at some point and they even covered their eyes from the gore scene of the movies.
When it ends, Gwen actually impressed by the movie and told Violet she likes to see it again. Since Gwen enjoyed the movie, like the promises, Violet brought her to one of the city retail stores and bought Gwen that handbag she wanted.
“Oh, Violet! Thank you! I’m sorry for what I’ve done to you in the past,” Gwen hugged Violet as she pays for the handbag. When she realized what she had done, Gwen removed her arms.
“I’m sorry,” she apologized. Violet waved it off and handed the handbag to Gwen.
“This is yours to have. I promised after all. Anyway, where should we go next? I mean, we’re at the mall and we have some time before dinner...,” Violet asked as she places her credit card into her wallet.
“Well, I was thinking of buying a new dress and shoes... of course I’ll be paying for myself but there’s no harm that you accompany me. You can even tell me which looks good for me,” Violet agreed before she was dragged all over the mall.
Gwen finds it heartwarming that Violet actually follow whatever she wants to do unlike her own boyfriend whenever they’re at the mall. Violet actually accompany her instead of going to the arcade-like William always does.
A huge smile never leaves Gwen’s face when she’s with Violet.
