Chapter 17: Third addition

Anastasia’s POV

When I said I wanted it rough, I didn’t mean to get pregnant.

Last thing that was on my mind. But here I am, with a pregnancy test that tested POSITIVE.

How should I break it to him?

Does he even want a child? He’s 20, I’m 16. I shouldn’t be worried about his opinion because I’m 16 and pregnant.

Yes he’s young as well but I’m still a high school student-

WAIT-, I completely forgot about school during this chaos. Well, I don’t think I’m going to be needing a job or anything like that. Matthew would never allow it.

Should I tell him? Maybe I should orrrr I can just wait till I show? “UGHHHHH” I can’t with this.

He deserves to know, but I just don’t know how to break it to him. Maybe he doesn’t want kids and that this was all a mistake? Yeah, this is a mistake.

I walked downstairs and see Jeffery sitting, casually, lazily on the sofa.

“Hey Luna”

“Jeffery” I said all tense

“Something the matter?” Laced with concern in his voice.

“I just have a question”

“Does Matthew want kids?”

He bursted out laughing, “of course he wants kids, he’s the Alpha. Every Alpha would want a heir. Plus, he’s always wanted a kid.”

“I see”

He calms down and looks at me questionly, “why do you ask?”

“Well, I was just wondering. It was just a random question.” Lies, all I could say was a lie. I wanted to tell Matthew first before anyone else knew.

“Uh huh, you don’t happen to be pregnant?” He questions.

I love Jeffery, BUT he’s far too observant. “Sorry to disappoint but I’m not pregnant.” I fed him some more lies.

“Mmhmm, if you think that’s going to convince me then you’re living in another world”

“I am living in another world. I was in a VERY human world until VERY recently, does it ring a bell?” I snapped back

“I have no clue on what you’re talking about”, he shrugged, completely forgetting about the pregnancy incident.

“Yeah? You TOTALLY didn’t have a role in this”, I rolled my eyes at him and walked towards the kitchen to get some food.

“All Matthew’s idea, he wanted his mate. All I could do was help, I wasn’t about to abandon his mate while she was about to be sold”, he emphasized sold.

“I’m sorry that I was about to be sold. Wasn’t really planning on getting sold that day you know? I was wondering why that bastard was being nice anyways.”

“Well now you know, bad intentions”

“You don’t say”, and with that, I walked back to the bedroom and played on my phone.

~~Time Skip~~

I heard the door open.

It was currently 1:28 am. LATE, if I were to add

I see Matthew walking towards the bed.

“Rough day?” He looked tired and stressed

“Just some busy bodies , you don’t have to worry”

“You look like you haven’t gotten any sleep”

“That’s none of your concern” he snapped at me

I was in shock, I froze. He never snapped at me, tears slowly forming in my eyes.

Damn pregnancy hormones.

He snapped his eyes to mine, his eyes grew big.

“I’m sorry baby, I didn’t mean it. I’m just a little stressed. I didn’t mean to snap at you. I’m so sorry baby” he said, guilt laced in his voice

I wasn’t in the mood to be Ms. Nice, these pregnancy hormones won’t allow that. “You didn’t mean to? Is that what you have to say? I know you’re stressed but all I was asking you was about your mental health.” I huffed out.

I’m not going to sit there and deal with it anymore.

“I said I was sorry, I don’t understand why you’re making it such a big deal.” He said, clearly a little irritated

“Right, you said sorry. You never said it won’t happen again. Matthew-“ I paused and then gulped. I can’t be in a toxic relationship, I can’t.

I brought up the courage to say it, “I think we need a break, to get ourselves sorted”

He snapped his head so fast, his hands holding my shoulders tightly. “You’re not leaving me, you can’t. I’m sorry, I won’t ever do that to you again. I was out of it. Please don’t leave me”

I don’t know what to do, I love him. But I can’t deal with it anymore. I’ve lived my life with people snapping at me, I don’t want to go back to that. I want a peaceful life.

I thought long and hard and I reached a decision.
