Trying a new, more detailed writing style here so I’m experimenting a little.
Our lips ghosted against each other’s, her breath warming my skin as we stared into each other’s eyes, her blue ones red and puffy as she lifted a hand to rest against my cheek, her other resting on my waist. Squeezing my waist slightly and smiling sadly, kissing the corners of my mouth before she pulled me into a kiss, our lips molding together in a soft harmony that felt like my first drop of water after days without it.
Her lips felt like a breath of fresh air after I’d been drowning under water. Her cherry chapstick making itself known on my lips. The rain falling against our skin ignored as the fire between us kept our souls and bodies warm.
My fingers entwined themselves in her straight strands, pulling her closer and she pressed herself closer, eager to feel me against her.
Her lips broke from mine, giving me one last peck before pulling back and taking in a deep breath.
“I..I love you. I want you to know that, but I have to go.” She whispered kissing my cheeks softly, wiping the tears from my cheeks, uselessly as the rain just kept running down my face accompanied by my tears.
“I love you too. I really do.” I breathed, hugging her close and breathing in the perfume she always wore as the last bit of her smell was drowned out by the rain.
Her thumbs made small circles against my waist, gripping my hips as she held me tight, lips next to my ear the sentence that left her mouth had me almost running into the bus after her as it pulled up, but I stopped myself because I knew deep down that was more than a promise, it was a vow.
“I’ll find you again. Even if you don’t love me anymore I’ll still love you.”
And then she was gone, white was the most dangerous color and I happened to fall right into her lying puddle of happiness, white was the most danger color and I was the victim of its power.
