Epilogue

Savannah

I cast my eyes around the bar, searching for my favourite drink in the glass fridges without any success.

"Yes please?" drawls the barman impatiently, as he glances at the people around me, clearly making a mental note of who to serve next. I lean forward to make myself heard over the loud music and voices in the bar.

"Do you have any peach schnapps?" I ask, as he leans closer, cupping his hand to his ear as I repeat myself. He lifts up a bottle of Archers Peach Schnapps, his eyebrows raised expectantly. I nod, holding up 2 fingers as I did. "And two bottles of Becks please."

I reach into my bag to get my purse, when I feel a hand on mine, stopping me from pulling my purse out.

"You don't pay for drinks when I'm around," murmurs a voice in my ear, as I bite my lip instantly. "What's taking so long?"

I shrug, leaning against him as I sigh happily. The barman tops the peach schnapps up with lemonade, presenting the two bottles of beer beside them.

"Is that-" begins Adrian as I nod, watching him pay the barman.

"You can take the girl out of Spain, but you can't take Spain out of the girl," he smiles, as I hold the glasses, leaving him to grab the beers. I make my way through the crowd back to the little table I see Leigh hunched over, her head close to Jermaines as they talk animatedly.

I didn't think it would ever happen, but to my utter surprise, it did. Jermaine had shocked us all by claiming Leigh publicly in a club a few months back, and they had been inseparable ever since. There was the awkward conversation about Cheyanne between Adrian and Jermaine, but once Adrian saw him with Leigh, he soon forgot about it.

Leigh turned to me, her eyes shining with happiness as I notice Jermaines hand around her waist possessively.

"Beer for you, and peach schnapps for you," I smile, as I sink into the seat in front of Leigh.

"Thank you! Jermaine was just saying we should go back to Majorca, where it all began," she grinned, sucking on the straw as she winked at me.

"Where it all began for me and Adrian you mean?" I say, exchanging a confused look with Adrian as he shrugs clearly as confused as me. His hand rests on my back, and I relax against him when he begins to stroke it softly.

"Um, well..." Leigh says, a mischievous smile on her lips as Jermaine grins.

"We had a thing, in Majorca. It kind of began back there for us, but I was just too...Jermaine to do anything about it," he shrugs, gazing at Leigh as I stare at them in astonishment.

"Wait, Adrian and I have been together for five years-" I start, as Adrian leans forward with interest.

"So that means you two have been on and off all of that time?" Adrian questions, shaking his head with a chuckle of disbelief.

"Not entirely," explains Leigh, as she places her hand on Jermaines thigh. "I didn't see him whilst I was at college, only on the odd night out. I knew what he was like, and i knew how I felt about him so...I kept my distance."

"You met Chris at college," I add, noticing Jermaines gaze harden as he lifted his bottle to his lips. Adrian shoots me a look and I try to backtrack. "But you wanted Jermaine all that time? Shit, Leigh."

"She tried to ignore it. So did I," Jermaine sighs, leaning forward to kiss her bare shoulder. "But we couldn't. So that night in the club, I decided if I didn't do something about it I would lose her forever."

My eyes mist over as I gulp, grinning stupidly at Adrian as he smiles, shaking his head at me.

"I don't know how you did it, Leigh, but you seem to have tamed him."

"Oh, she did it because she is sick in bed-" calls out Jermaine as Leigh rolls her eyes. "Nah, it's love. What can I say?"

"Wait, what did you say?" I ask, as Adrian laughs, sipping his beer as he catches my eye. We exchange a look, and I realise Jermaine and Leigh aren't paying attention to us anymore, and Adrian takes advantage.

"Do you know how I lnow you're the one?" he whispers, his lips brushing my jawline as he leans close to me. I turn to stare at him expectantly, still in awe of his beautiful eyes.

"How?"

"Because you still give me butterflies when you look at me."

I kiss him then, tasting the beer on his lips as he pulls me from my seat, tugging me onto his lap. Someone asks for my seat, making Adrian break away to wave at them dismissively.

"You get to stay sitting right here now," he says, his fingers dancing down my back through the fabric of my dress. "I can't wait to rip this from you later."

"Babe, it's silk," I protest, as he holds the fabric between his hands.

"I'll buy you another. There's no fun in folding it neatly over the chair is there?"

I kiss him again, feeling a wealth of emotions as he smirks against me. I didn't care how I met him, or who he was to me then. All that mattered was that we were together now, and the best part was, he was my best friend. He knew everything about me- the good, the bad and the ugly. He had recently qualified as an engineer, and was talking about starting his own business.

We had moved in together recently, and I was still giddy with joy that I got to wake up to him every single day.

"So, Majorca? You down?"

I turn to see Jermaine grinning at us, as Adrian speaks suddenly.

"Actually I've kind of already sorted our holiday for this year..."

I turn to him with surprise, frowning as I laugh.

"You have?"

"Yeah. It was going to be a surprise for your birthday, but fuck it. I'm taking you to the Bahamas in November. Happy early birthday," he shrugs, as I squeal with delight, hugging him tightly as I kiss him all over his face.

"Urgh I'm so jealous!" Leigh pouts, as Jermaine points his finger at Adrian.

"He's got four years on me-"

"So in four years you'll take me to the Bahamas?" Leigh shoots back playfully, and I zone out, gazing at the man I love as I stroke his face.

"I fucking love you. Thank you, so much."

"I just wanna see you in a bikini again," he drawls, before kissing me hard on the mouth. "I want to take you somewhere special."

We kiss again, and I'm scared for the future. How could I ever feel this happy again? If this was my happiest point in life, I could die happy. Adrian Wells was the man of my dreams, who released butterflies throughout my body with just a look.

It was worth it, all of the drama, to be with him.

My one.
