Coffee

The door closed behind him and Cassia was left in the steamy bathroom. The bathroom was amazing! The tiles were on the floor and walls were light marble gray colour. The double sink and large bath she was currently in were white porcelain as was the loo. The cupboard under the sink were dark oak and the frame of the large mirror over the sinks matched it perfectly. The bathmat and towels were same dark colour. She noticed a shower in the corner. It was one of those rainfall showers.

I can't wait to try that when i can stand.

Woah! What the fuck Cass! She scolded herself as she dipped her head under the water to clear her mind.

"OK I'm done" Cassia had managed to empty the bath and awkwardly semi dried herself with one of the large towels before wrapping around her chest.

Garett knocked and poked his head round the door. "feeling better?"

"Yeah actually. I am!" she replied rather shocked as Garett gently lifted her from the bath and took her through to the bedroom.

"The only thing missing is a bloody decent coffee!" Garett looked at her shocked and laughed. He set her down on the bed and asked if she wanted her bags to look for clothes. She accepted the offer and began to look through them looking for comfortable clothes.

" I will leave you be for a while to get dressed." with that Garett left her in peace. She looked through her bags and found nothing of use. She slept in clothes most of the time (when she was able to sleep) so she had nothing for bed. She eyed the bag of donations and looked through. She found a pair of light blue cotton bottoms and a matching cami top. She put a bra on and the clothes and sat on the bed.

That boot looks a monstrosity! She picked up the bulky boot in both her hands. The hard plastic shell covered a material interior.

Fuck it. Let's see what's this is about. Cassia sat in the chair to help her balance. She put the boot on the floor and slowly placed her left ankle into the boot. She pushed through the pain and made sure her ankle was at the back of the support. Slowly she tied up the velcro straps and stood. Her right leg was now short so her hips felt displaced.

What a fucking monstrosity. I look like I have a club foot! Cassia jumped when a knock in the door pulled her from her musings.

"Yea?" Garett opened the door and smiled.

"Hey. Can I come in?"

"Well I'm dressed and it's your room... So crack on pal!" Cassia sat back down in the chair that faced away from the door and glared at the black boot willing her ankle to be better.

"I don't know if it's up to your standards Cassia. I love a decent coffee and I can get my hands on really good stuff. I took the liberty of making a pot. I have cream and sugar." He placed the tray down on the bed as Cassia scolded herself for liking the way he said her name. He started to pour the coffee into the cups. She practically drooled at the aroma.

" Would you like sugar and cream?"

" Just cream please." She took the cup eagerly and took a sip. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the taste. It was the best coffee she had for months.

"Holy shit! That's good! My taste buds are orgasming right now!" She opened her eyes and realised who was in front of her. His face was a picture. His eyebrow was raised and a smile played on his lips.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to say that out loud."

"Oh no.... Don't apologise! Hell, take another mouthful and orgasm away!" he laughed. It surprised her when she the urge mto make him laugh more. It frustrated her she felt like that. This man pretty much kidnapped her and now she was here for awhile. She had conceded this was the best solution; how else was she supposed to survive? Besides, she knew he couldn't hurt her. The mate pull for him would be too strong. It would kill him to hurt her.

Stay strong. Don't give in. Get well and get the hell out of dodge. Use him for what I need. A place to heal.

"How's about telling me a bit about yourself Cassia?" he pressed her for information.

"You go first."

"OK. I'm Alpha Garett. I've been Alpha for a few years now when my parents decided to travel around the world with my sister. I don't smoke but do like a drink. My favourite colour is emerald green. I love Italian food, apple pie and Laila's chocolate and whiskey cake." he looked at me expectantly. Waiting for me to divulge information. I rolled my eyes and gave him what he wanted.

"My name is Cassia. I'm originally from England. My favourite colour is orange. I love any type of food. Seriously big foodie and I love apple pie too." she was about to take another sip of the delicious coffee and nearly spat it back out at his next question.

"so what brings you to this side of the world."

"I don't want to talk about it." she hoped her attitude would prevent him from asking anymore about that... And then came the question she had dreading since she woke up.

"What would make you want to try and do something so final?" he whispered as though pained. He stared down at his coffee cup and didn't make eye contact with her.

"I... Erm... Garett. I'm sorry I don't want to talk about either." cassia whispered her answer and felt the tears starting to form in her eyes. Before she knew it Garett was on his knees next to the chair and pulling her head to his chest. She sighed into his embrace realising this was the first human contact she'd had in so long. She felt shocked and panicked. She felt warm and secure. It was overwhelming. She didn't know if she could handle his touch and embrace. She could feel the love for radiating from him.

"Personal space. I can't cope with this. I'd like to finish the coffee." Cassia attempted a smile to calm the emotions down. Garett appears to take the hint and moved back to sitting on the bed. He cleared his throat.

"I know you don't feel how I do. I understand that. The whole mate thing doesn't effect you in the exact same way it does me. I know you feel something but I won't force anything on you. You are here as a guest to recover and I will help you any way I can." Garett stood from the bed and placed his cup on the tray. "I know you feel something towards me and if you want to force it down and hide it that's your choice. But you don't know me. You know nothing about me and life apart from I am a werewolf. You clearly hate my kind.... But I ask you. Please. Give me a chance and get to know me as a person."

Garett made his excuses and left the room. He shut the door behind him. Leaving Cassia to dwell on his words.
