Prologue

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride!"

I hear loud hoops and hollers as Lathe pulls me in for a deep and long kiss. I smile against his lips and he pulls back slightly so I can stare into his deep blue eyes.

I am seriously the luckiest girl on the face of the earth.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. and Mrs. Lathe Valdor!"

Cheers and congratulations are heard above the music as Lathe grabs my hand and we walk down the aisle. The reception is filled with dancing and laughter as the celebration goes well into the night.

"May I have this dance?" I hear from behind me and I smile knowing whose voice it belongs to.

He pulls me to the dance floor and his lips capture mine as our hips start to move to the beat. Grabbing my hand, he twirls me around a few times before pulling me close to his body, my back against his chest. We grind to the music as his hands run down the sides of my body stopping to grip my hips. Lathe was a great dancer and we always had a blast together.

We had only been dating 7 months when he popped the question but I never second guessed saying yes. He was it for me. Now a year and a half together and at the ages of 24 and 26, with him being older, we are finally married.

We originally met through a mutual friend at a BBQ but didn't really talk to each other a whole lot. I did learn though that he owned a small mechanic shop and I just happened to be looking for someone to rebuild a motor in a 67' Camaro my dad had given me. We ended up exchanging numbers and I called him up a few weeks later to help me. After he finished working on the car he asked me out on a date and the rest is pretty much history.

I thought that Lathe was extremely attractive the first time I saw him. He was 6'2" of dense lean muscles and a chiseled jaw. His dark hair would have come close to his eyes if his didn't keep it styled and off his face. I always thought his blue eyes where the same color as the ocean about 30 miles off shore and his deep voice could make any girl weak in the knees. All of this is why I initially agreed to the first date, but not why I married him.

He's always been a rock solid, no games played kinda guy and I LOVED that about him. I feel special and cherished when we are together so marrying him was a no brained.

"I love you so much." I smile at him.

"I love you more." He whispers in my ear and sends chills down my spine.

"I'm serious Lathe, I don't ever want to lose you. Ever." I stare into his eyes.

"Good thing you're stuck with me forever." He kisses my forehead before moving to my lips and then my neck.

Felicia Mann: The novel starts out good. Well written, a few grammatical misspellings, but not so bad that you can't figure out what the words are unlike some other stories I have read and just had to skip over some words because there was no deciphering them.
