Chapter 40

As I sit here with my feet in the pool. I can't help but reflect on my life. I have two of the most wonderful men in my life. I'm about to have a baby. My parents are doing great and I have their full support in my lifestyle choice. I work full time from home. Granted I do all the bookkeeping for Marcus gun store. I also help out with his gun safety classes, but I'm still working. My due date is a week away. I'm huge, huge as a house. I'm not real happy about that. Yesterday it took me three times to get off the couch. My feet are swollen and the doctor told me to stay off them as much as possible.

I have become stubborn, so much in fact that I think Mason and Marcus are doing their best to stay away. Mason had a last-minute flight to New York and Marcus is always at the shop. Of course when I said something about them ignoring me. They said I was acting silly. My mother who is here most days when I'm alone. Just brushes me off when I start to complain. My hormones are driving me crazy. I can't seem to get enough of Mason and Marcus. I'm in the mood all the time and I cry about everything. The doctor has told the guys how good sex is while I'm pregnant, but they still get nervous and play the genital game with me, horse shit. I need a good pounding and they don't care. I do a lot of stopping around the place and crossing my arms. Mason just hugs me or gives me a small kiss. Whereas Marcus just laughs. Sometimes I think I would feel better if I punched them both.

The guys know who the father of the baby is. I decided the day the doctor called to tell us the results of the test. That I didn't want to know anything until the baby was born. Mason and Marcus know everything. The baby is healthy and big. That was all I cared about at the time. They know the sex and who the father is. I couldn't even guess if I tried. They both haven't acted any differently since they found everything out. I knew they wanted to know and they know that in my heart it really doesn't matter to me. "Candace do you want lunch out here or inside the house?" I heard my mother ask me. I turned to look at her. It was so hot out and even though I had turned the house into winter. I liked to sit out by the pool. I got myself up, which took about ten minutes, but then I waddled my butt inside.

"I swear mom, I don't think I'm going to make it one more week," I said as I walked inside and closed the door behind me. She smiled at me and I took a seat at the table. She walked over and set my food down. "Thank you, but you didn't have to make lunch." She sat done in front of me.

"Its nothing, I like taking care of you." I smiled at her and ate my food. "When is Mason going to be home?" She asked me.

"Tonight, I told him he had to stay home for the next week. I won't let him leave again until after the baby is born. Besides, he works mostly from home anyways."

My mother has been pushing me to have a baby shower. It's not that I don't want one, It's just that I don't have any female friends. The only female friend I had live's across seas. It just doesn't seem worth it to have a party when it would only be my family and the guys. Today was Monday and Mason was taking me out for the day. My due date was only four days away. I actually fought with him this morning. I really didn't feel like going out, but in the end, he won. He ended up taking me to eat and I had a good time with him. We talked about all kinds of things. He was making me laugh and it felt wonderful. I swear I had to get up and pee more than a few times. He took me out to the lake and we sat in the grass. I loved to watch the water, always have. "I've told my men in New York that I won't be back for at least two months." I looked over at him.

"Really? Is that going to be okay?"

"I own the company Cans, I can do whatever I want."

"I know that, but I don't want to put you in a bad situation." He reached over and kissed my head.

"Come on, I know you're tired. Let's get you home." He took my hand and I followed him, well after about two tries to get me off the ground. We pulled up to the house and my parent's car was here. I smiled as that wasn't anything new. Mason helped me out of the car. I waddled up the porch and opened the front door.

"Surprise!" I heard everyone yell out. The living room was covered in wrapped gifts. My mother and father were here and that's when I saw Missy. She waved at me and I got a smile on my face. Mason placed his arm on my back. I looked up at him and wrapped my arms around him.

"Thank you," I said in his ear. I walked into the living room and Missy came over and gave me a hug.

"It's been a very long time." She said to me.

"Yeah, Mason can be convincing. You and I have a lot to talk about, but we can do that after your party."

"How long are you here for?" I asked her.

"Just two days, I have to get back to my job." I nodded at her. I had a great time and so many gifts to open. I started to yawn as I watched Mason and Marcus cleaning everything up. Missy and I just laid back on the couch. "So, both of them?" I Just looked over at her and nodded. "You know I thought something was going on with the three of you back then." I just smiled. "Your lucky."

"Really? You think so?" I asked her. "You don't think little of me?" Missy sighed and looked back at me.

"No Candace I don't. It's like they are both your soulmates. You guys never functioned well when one of you was missing." I liked hearing Missy's point of view of me and the guys. It made me feel better about things. "So who is the father?" She asked me. I shrugged my shoulders.

"I don't know. I won't know until the baby is born. They know, they know everything. The sex and who the father is."

"And how came you don't?"

"Because I don't care," I said yawning again.

"Angel, do you want ice water or warm tea?" Marcus asked me. Just then someone was knocking on the door. I got my self up off the couch and walked over to the front door. Marcus followed me. I opened the door up and my mouth fell open. Crystal stood there looking just as surprised as I was. "Mason!" Marcus yelled out.

"What?" Mason yelled back.

"You have a guest!" Marcus said.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked her as I crossed my arms. Mason came over to the door.

"Crystal? What the hell are you doing here?" He said to her.

"I need to talk to you, alone please." She said to Mason. He took a step beside me and looked at me.

"I don't know why she is here." He said to me.

"Look I just need Mason's help." She said. I rolled my eyes and walked back to my couch. I watched Mason walk outside and close the door behind him. I looked at Marcus and he just stood by the front door. He looked angry and had every right to. We had no idea why she was here. Then a pain hit me in the back hard and I rolled over. Marcus came running to my side. I sat back up breathing heavily.

"Angel?" He said.

"I don't..." The pain hit again. I grabbed my stomach as I felt a warm liquid between my legs.
