Chapter Seventeen

It was our second night in Greece and the three of us had arrived at the villa after a full day of sightseeing, exploring the city, eating, and taking photos. We were all stumped and ready for bed, especially Mischa.

"It seems like she had a lot of fun," I smiled softly.

"She sure did," August chuckled, carrying her inside. Mischa has fallen asleep as soon as we got into the car, which was kind of cute. I could tell that everything we did exhausted her and I couldn't blame her. At least she had fun with us today and that's all that matters.

"Hmm...we're home?" Mischa sleepily asked.

"Yeah. We are," August responded. He crouched down to let her off of his back.

"Do you need any help?" He asked.

"No. I'm good," She yawned. She staggered a bit causing us both to exchange worried looks for a moment.

"Let me go with you, Mischa. I need to change my shower anyway," I informed.

"Okay," She nodded.

"Emily," August called out to me.

"Yes?" I said.

"Do you mind staying up for a couple more hours with me?" He asked. My heart started to skip a beat as soon as he asked that. It would be nice to spend some time alone with him during this trip and I'm not one to waste an opportunity like this.

"Sure," I answered. He smiled broadly.

"Great. I'll go shower as and then we can meet out on the terrace," August said.

"Okay. I'm looking forward to it," I responded.

As soon as I got to my room, I closed the door behind me and locked it before silently cheering to myself like a fool. For the past couple of days, I had wanted to spend some time with him, but I didn't how to phrase it in a way that wouldn't come off rude to him or like I was irritated with Mischa's presence, which I'm not at all because she's a total sweetheart. I'm ecstatic that he was thinking the same as me.

"Okay, Emily. Calm down," I murmured to myself, "Just calm down so you don't make a fool of yourself later."

After taking in a couple deep breaths, I managed to calm myself down and I went to go shower. Butterflies still fluttered in my stomach as I washed my body. I'm very excited to spend some alone time with August and I just hope he feels the same way that I do. Once my shower was over, I dried off and then moisturized my body before slipping on a tank top, a pair of comfortable sweatpants, socks, and my slides. As for my hair, I decided to tie it down.

When I was done, I grabbed zip-up jacket since it might be a little chilly outside. I can't afford to catch a cold this time around, especially when I was around Mischa and August. I couldn't risk getting them both sick at the same time on this trip. I'd feel bad if I did that.

I opened the door to the terrace and stepped on it before closing it behind me. I noticed that I was the first one out of the two of us that had arrived first. I decided to sit and wait for August until he got here while taking in this beautifully decorated terrace. Whoever had picked out the furniture was genius. This area just screamed comfort rather than just chic and modern. There's nothing wrong with chic and modern furniture, but it would be nice to have some that made you want to sit there for a long time and never get up.

"You're already here," August said breaking me out of my trance. A smile formed on my features at the sight of him. He was wearing a t-shirt, gray pajama pants, and a pair of slides. I have never seen a man look so sexy wearing pajamas until now. I would give anything to-hey! Stop it. No. No. No. We're not doing this. No. Just stop it, Emily.

"I thought you would've been out here before me," I responded.

"Well, I had to check on Mischa real quick before I came down. She was so sleepy that I couldn't help but to worry," He explained.

"I understand," I nodded. He took a seat right next to me. My heart began to flutter again from being within close proximity of him.

"I'm glad we finally got some time alone to relax," He said.

"Me too. It's nice going sightseeing, but I also prefer staying in at least a day to relax," I agreed.

"With the way we we're going it doesn't seem like we'll have a day to do that," He sighed.

"Maybe tomorrow can be a day of resting. I'm sure Mischa will understand," I suggested.

"Hmm," He rubbed his chin, contemplating the idea, "That sounds like a great idea. Alright. Tomorrow is a day of rest for the three of us."

"I'm glad you're on board with this," I beamed.

"Well it was such a good idea that I couldn't disagree with it," He chuckled.

"Thank you for hearing me out," I said.

"I should be thankful. I love hearing you talk," He replied. My heart skipped a beat at his words. It was kind of an unexpected thing for me to hear because I have never heard this from any man I've dated in the past.

"You do?" I asked.

"Your voice is the one thing I love to hear and half the time you could be talking about knitting," He answered.

"I've never heard that before," I told him.

"Why not?" He asked in confusion.

"I don't know. I guess others that I've dated didn't feel the same about me talking because half the time they just complimented the physical stuff like my body, my skin, eyes, and the works," I explained.

"Your physical beauty is a bonus, but everything else such as your mind, the way you carry yourself, and all the other things that make you who you are intrigue me," He said.

"You have such a way with words. No wonder other women fall for you," I smiled.

"They can fall for me all they like, but I'm interested in one woman and one woman only," He gazed into my eyes. From the way he spoke to the way he looked, I could feel myself starting to fall for this man in front of me and I wasn't ashamed of it. August was everything I wanted and hoped for in a man. He was the definition of a perfect man within my eyes.

"You know, I love hearing you talk because it feels like you know what to say to make a woman fall for you," I said.

"I'm glad it's working because I think I'm starting to fall for you too," He leaned in closer to me.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Mhm," He replied. He leaned in and pressed his lips softly against. When I tell you that this man can kiss, I mean he can really kiss. The way he was kissing me made me want to just melt into a puddle. He was just that good.

The kiss was a slow passionate one that was filled with our burning desires for each other. His tongue caressed mine during the kiss. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me flush against his body until I was straddling his lap as he deepened the kiss.

Something began to poke me a little and it scared me a little because oh shit. It was big. Oh God it was big and it felt like it could do some damage.

"Any further than this and this couch will be put to very good use," He whispered against my lips. As nice as it would be to have sex with him, it's best if we save it for a more special and intimate occasion. My dreams of having sex on the terrace of a private villa have been pushed back for a later date.

"I guess outdoor sex can wait," I sighed. He chuckled softly and pecked my lips.

"It can wait, but not for too long," He said.

"Is that a promise?" I smirked.

"It's a promise," He replied. Slowly, I slid off of his lap and onto the couch. He pulled me towards his side, which allowed me to rest my head on his shoulder.

"I'm glad you invited me on this trip," I smiled.

"I'm glad you agreed. It was nice having one extra person to keep Mischa and I company," He said.

"I appreciate you inviting me. This is the most fun I've had these past couple of days," I replied.

"Hopefully you can come with us in another trip like this in the future," He laced our fingers together.

"That sounds like a plan," I beamed. He kissed me once more. This moment was pure bliss and it was something I wish would last forever. I enjoy his company and I'm so glad that I gave him a chance.
