Chapter 13| Noah

I'm sitting in my laptop finishing off an assignment when I hear a light knock on my dorm room. Surprised I stand up to see who is it.

When I open the door she is there with that fiery red dress she wore when I saw her stepping out of the limo earlier tonight. She is leaning playfully on the door frame with a smirk on her face.

Oh, hell that dress! It drives me mad! I feel my temperature raise like it did before and my heart beats quicken.

"What are you d...?" I tried to say but she mutes my lips with her finger whispering a seductively "shhh" and starts walking inside of my room slapping the door behind her.

She places her hands on my neck and moves her body on me making me backtrack to the wall.

Leaving no space between us my hands automatically move to her waist to hold her in place.

She slowly raises her head and looks at me biting her red lips and I feel like I'm going to burst into flames.

"Kiss me." She says slowly and tugs my hair as she leans into me.

My eyes snapped open and I almost jumped out of bed.

What the fuck???

What the hell was that?

As I sit up in my bed trying to calm my breath I push my hair back annoyed. What kind of dream was that? I never dream! It's one of thing I like about me. No matter the case my sleep was always dreamless and that was restful. Now she is interfering with my sleep too making me sweat out of nowhere?

Plus I thought that kind of wet dreams stop after you hit puberty! So what's up with the hard on I feel right now?

I need to cool down. I stand up, repositioning myself and an annoyed growl escape my lips. Thankfully my roommate is out parting so I don't have to explain what's going on with me.

But seriously what's going on? Do I subconsciously like her? Or is it just physical?

I know it's been a while since I had sex but out of all people does it have to be her?

I grab my phone and my car keys and I'm out the door just like that. I need a ride to clear my head. I'm almost running out of the dorms and I reach my car within seconds. Before I open the door I feel my phone buzz in my pants. I check the time and I'm guessing is Conner but to my surprise I have a text message from an unknown number.

Unknown: Hey are up?

Me: Who is this?

Can this night be any weirder? First the sex dream, now random messages from unknown numbers? I know it's not a coincidence. I can feel it in the pit of my stomach.

Unknown: So, I checked the movies schedule and the Avengers are playing on Sundays and Tuesdays. Pick one.

I knew it. That girl knows no boundaries.

Me: How on earth did you get my number?

I type and press send before I could stop myself. I'm so stupid sometimes I can even... I can see she is typing and I tap my feet impatiently waiting for her smart-ass reply.

Rachel: it's not that hard to find. You realize you work with my brother, right? Tall guy, gray eyes same as mine, wore a black tuxedo? Rings any bells?

And just like that the messer becomes the messy. I hate it!

Me: That doesn't give him the right to just pass my number along.

Rachel: He would never just give it to me, believe I've tried. I just stole his phone and checked it out myself. Grumpy, are we?

I feel a smile forming in my face and I get in my car, cell phone in hand thinking my next reply.

Me: kind of, yeah, you violated my personal data. What gives you the right to do so?

Rachel: You did! When you were being such a tease earlier. You should think carefully about the consequences of your actions.

I can almost see her expression when I read her message. Her image in my head is pretty vivid.

Me: I wouldn't read too much into it. I was just messing around.

Rachel: You shouldn't do that. Now I can't stop thinking about you and it's all your fault.

Me: Come on, now. It's kind of your fault too. I mean, you're a little crazy and obsessive so...

Rachel: Only with you... ;)

My smile turns into a grin pretty quickly. Am I really enjoying talking to her that much?

Me: That doesn't interest me at all. It's your issue to deal with.

Liar, liar pants on fire...

Rachel: Really? So you're saying if I come to your door right now you'll kick me out?

I felt a knot forming in my throat and I was instantly turned on as my dream came to mind.

A part of me wanted to say that I would kick her out but let's be realistic I wouldn't. I would probably pin her in my bed making her moan all night long.

Wow, that escalated quickly! A few days ago I hated her guts and now I'm thinking her in my bed?

The hell is wrong with me?

Rachel: I'm waiting...

Me: You are really stubborn, you know that?

Rachel: Ha, ha, ha! Hello pot, this is kettle, you're black!

Involuntarily a chuckle leaves my lips. Ok, I admit that was one hell of a smart-ass response. Look at that, I was wrong. She is not that dumb after all!

Me: Ok smart-ass. You made your point.

Rachel: And yet you still didn't answer...

Me: Why do you keep annoying me? Don't you have anything better to do?

Rachel: Better than you? No!

Hearing about her over the years and silently watching her from the shadows get involved with one guy after another I'd never thought in a million years she would be so straight forward. You could practically see the invisible strings that pulled people to her. I don't think she even had to try. Her determination confuses me.

Rachel: Let me tell you what I think. I think you wouldn't kick me out but you are too proud to admit it.

I scoffed out loud reading her last message.

Me: Where did you get that idea?

I saw the dots in my screen light up repeatedly meaning she was typing and I waited patiently for her response.

Rachel: Oh, please. If I was really annoying you, you'd sent me to hell right away like you bluntly did before, for one. And secondly you can call it "messing around" as much as you like but I was there. You're not that good of an actor... so you can drag it out as much as you want and I will keep pushin' or you could just give in and go out with me one time! It think it's a small price to pay.

As I'm reading the long paragraph she wrote for me I tap nervously my fingers in the wheel and my thoughts run 100 miles per hour. Should I just go for it?
