Your Place or Mine?

Chapter 71:

It was ironic in a way. The date began with her feeling so nervous, and now he was the one who was acting strange. It was clear that he was still not comfortable with the invitation she received. He did not talk much for the reminder of the date after she had told him about it and kept his answers short and cryptic. Even as he drove her back home, he kept his silence and remained too focused on his thoughts. Eventually, she asked him to take a right turn at an intersection and to pull over so they could talk. He did so reluctantly.

The lane they parked the car at was empty save for a car or two that drove past them every now and again. Tall trees lined it on both sides giving it an eerie yet serene feeling. The lighting was dim, but she could still see his facial features clearly enough.

“Why did you want me to stop here?” He asked as he kept his gaze focused on the road ahead of him and avoided looking at her.

“Something is clearly bothering you. I wanna know what it is?”

“It’s nothing.”

Lesly became furious, “You say that to me one more time, and I swear to God…” She stopped herself before she said something she would regret later and took a deep breath. “You promised me you wouldn’t keep anything from me, remember?”

“Lesly…,” He shut his eyes and began rubbing his temples in frustration.

“You haven’t been yourself for the last couple of weeks. You think I haven’t noticed.”

He gave her an exasperated look, but eventually he gave in, “I have a lot on my mind. The last thing I needed was to have my old man step in behind my back and request to meet you.”

“Why is this such a big problem for you?”

“I don’t want him involved in that area of my life,” he responded angrily. “It’s as simple as that.”

It took Lesly a moment to say anything. Clearly, his relationship with his father was much more complex than she thought. Her tone was calm as she attempted to discuss the matter with him. “Do you want me to call and cancel?”

Alec diverted his gaze away from her, “It’s too late now.”

He was about to release the hand break so they could drive, but she placed her hand on his and urged him without words to wait a little. He complied silently, but still kept his gaze away from her.

“How bad is it?” She asked gently.

He understood her question perfectly well. She was asking about his relationship with his father, a matter that he still was not comfortable discussing with her.

“I don’t wanna talk about it.”

He realized the moment he spoke those words that he had done exactly what she asked him not to do, shutting her out. In an attempt to rectify the situation, he averted his gaze towards her and apologized, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to…”

“It’s okay,” she whispered.

He could see in her eyes that she was not mad at him, but he was still worried, so he struggled to show her that he was trying to keep his word. “This was supposed to be a romantic night out, yet I ruined it, haven’t I?”

She smiled at him, “To me it was more about getting to know you better.”

“I know,” he rushed to assure her. “It’s just that…”

“Alec,” she gently interrupted. “It’s fine.”

He smiled back at her, “Are you sure?”

“Yeah, you already told me a little bit about yourself. I know that it’s still difficult for you to talk about certain things, and I know you’re trying. I appreciate that.”

“I’m sorry,” he whispered. “I wanna tell you all about it. Still,…” He struggled to explain himself, but when words failed him, he could not help but mutter. “God, I’m too incensed to think straight right now.”

She began caressing the hand she was holding with her thumb. Her gaze was cast down at his hand before she lifted it to meet his eyes. “You’re still mad?”

“Yeah,” he simply answered.

Her smile deepened. “There might be something I can do about that.”

Lesly directed her attention to her high heels and began to slowly unbuckle the strap on each one while Alec watched with a puzzled expression on his face. Then the moment she took them off, she pulled her dress up a little and shifted in her seat. Before Alec realized what she was about to do, she straddled him and covered his mouth with hers. Alec’s hands immediately held her waist and tried to bring her closer to him. Her arms wrapped tightly around his neck as their tongues continued their intimate dance. Eventually, Alec’s hands left her waist and began exploring her body. They slid under her dress and cupped her behind to urge her without words to grind herself on him. Consumed by the same need for him, Lesly immediately unbuckled the belt on his pants and freed him. Her hands tortured the living daylights out of him, and he followed suit and invaded her moist folds. When the two could not take it any longer, she took him in, aided by his arms, and began rocking over him. Their climax was so jarring that they spent the next couple of minutes trying to bring their breathing and racing heartbeat back to normal.

Lesly’s face was buried in the crook of his neck. He could feel her lips smiling before she whispered fondly, “It’s been a while.”

He pulled her back so he could look at her. Her hair was a bit messy. Her cheeks were reddish. The straps of her green dress had fallen off her shoulders, revealing her strapless bra which was barely covering her breasts now. Her dress had ridden way up, revealing her creamy thighs. The sight of her on top of him looking like that made his mind wander into thinking about ten different ways he could take her again as soon as it became possible for him to do so.

He tucked a strand away from her eyes and whispered affectionately, “You look so pretty in green. Did I tell you that?”

She giggled, “Yeah, twice already.”

“I can already see the headlines,” he chuckled. “Public prosecutor caught with dazzling philanthropist in a car.”

“With a big happy smile on his face,” she finished cheerfully.

He laughed in a mixture of amusement and disbelief, “You really are drunk, are you?!”

“Just a little.”

“You sure?”

She smiled seductively at him and began caressing his hair. “Trust me, the drunk me wouldn’t have stopped there.”

“I guess.” His expression softened. “You didn’t drink much, but you did drink more than usual tonight.”

Lesly was hesitant to respond. She began buttoning some of the buttons on his shirt that she undid earlier and tried to explain while avoiding his gaze, “I was a bit nervous.”

“About what?” He asked gently as he caressed the side of her face.

“I don’t know. I kept telling myself that there isn’t really anything I should be nervous about, but then again…there’s this matter that I couldn’t stop thinking about.”

“What is it?”

“I discussed it with you before, but you didn’t give me a straight answer.”

“Last night?” He tried to confirm.

“Yeah,” she looked at him expectedly. “There is no case, is there?”

Alec stared at her for a few seconds. Then he gave her a straight answer, “There is a case, but it’s not the reason for the way I’ve been acting lately.”

“So why were you avoiding me?”

“Sweetheart, I wasn’t avoiding you,” he spoke gently. “If I was, I wouldn’t have even insisted on dropping by and seeing you so often.”

“Every time you came to visit, you’d make up an excuse and rush out,” she argued.

“I told you I wouldn’t pressure you into picking up where we left off.”

“What is that supposed to mean?”

“It means that every time it gets so hard for me to stay, I have to step out. For God’s sake, Lesly, do you realize how difficult it’s been to see you in those sexy shorts of yours and not do anything about it?! Last night, in particular, was pure torture, and a part of me thinks you were doing it on purpose, not that I’m complaining.”

She smiled shyly. Her hands slid from his collar to interlock behind his neck. “If you must know, it was difficult for me, too.”

“Yeah, why do you think I dressed like that every time you told me you were coming over?”

He grinned, “So you were doing it on purpose?!”

“Guilty as charged,” she giggled.

“Do you have any idea how many cold showers I had to take?”

“I’ll make it up to you,” she whispered seductively against his lips before she brushed hers over them.

“How?” He asked breathlessly.

“We’ll go back home, and we’ll finish what we started,” she spoke into his ear before she began kissing his neck. Alec groaned and allowed her to take control. It didn’t take her long before she got him all hard again.

She pulled back, smiled and spoke against his lips, “Somebody’s awake!”

He did not say anything, but simply buried his hand in her locks and crushed her lips against his. The more they kissed, the more their hunger for each other grew. Eventually, she became just as mad with need as him.

“Your place or mine?” She asked breathlessly between their kisses.

“It depends,” he growled before he pulled her down for another intoxicating kiss. “Do you want the neighbors to hear you again?”

“Yours it is, then.”
