Chapter Three: Decisions

“Okay, so he did what now?” Luka asked as he sat up against the headboard, Ariel, against his side as she told him everything that has happened between her and his alter.

“He came to me in the shower, as you.”

He shook his head. “That explains the way you acted that morning.”

“Yes.” She said, her cheeks flushed.

“That wasn’t right.” He said as he shook his head.

“Oh, and there is a major thing you should know.” She said as she looked his body up and down.

“What’s that?” He asked with a smile.

“Um, well, since he is essentially you, and he uses your body.” She smiled as she let out a laugh. “You done stole my virginity.”

He sat up away from her so fast; she almost rolled off the bed.

He caught her and pulled her back onto the bed.

“You were a virgin?”

She hid her face against him. “Sorry, I was trying to lighten the blow.”

“Yeah, not a blow, you can lighten.” He said as he laid back against the headboard. “Did he know, before…”

She shook her head. “He didn’t know until I screamed…”

He rolled his eyes as he pulled her against him. “I would have been gentler.” He said as he kissed the top of her head.

“Don’t get me wrong; it was amazing. You are amazing.” She said as she smiled up at him.

“He’s not me. I have no memory of it…”

“No, silly. You yourself, you’re amazing, whether you are him or yourself. You are the most amazing man.”

He sighed as he laid his cheek on her head. “And you are the most amazing woman.”

“Luka, Ariel, breakfast.”

They smiled at each other than crawled out of bed and got dressed.

“Would you hate me if I put him to sleep?”

She shook her head. “I would like to meet Lizzie, though.”

He laughed. “Wish I could, too.”

They made their way down the stairs and to the dining room. They ate breakfast, then Luka asked them to follow him to the Livingroom.

“I’ve decided to put them back to sleep.” Luka said as he watched everyone.

“Are you sure?” Lesa asked as she studied his face.

“I’m sure. It’s time The Sapphire Dreamer went back to dreamland.” He said as he took hold of Ariel’s hand. “But first, I thought I’d let Lizzie out for a bit. I would imagine being cooped up in there with Lukas can be exhausting.”

“I would love to see her again.” Lesa said with a smile.

“I will need you to get Lukas out. He’s the only one who can release Lizzie.” Luka said as he looked at Ariel.

“Lukas.” Ariel said as she looked into Luka’s blue eyes. “Lukas, don’t make me get a hypnotherapist.”

“Easy now, Sweetheart.” Lukas said as he smiled at her.

“You’ve been a bad boy.” She said with a frown.

He grinned as he pulled her to him. “I thought that’s what you love about me. That I’m the bad boy.”

She grunted. “Let Lizzie out.”

“You know why. I know you’ve been listening.”

He sighed as he closed his eyes. When his eyes opened, they were the lightest blue Ariel had ever seen; they were almost white.

“Ariel!” Lizzie squealed as she almost jumped on Ariel’s lap.

“Easy, Lizzie Hun. You forget that you’re a six-year-old girl in a large 34-year-old man’s body.”

“Sorry.” Lizzie said as she pulled away. “I’m just so happy I finally get to meet you. You have been so good for our Lukas. He is so much better than he was when we first woke up.”

Ariel smiled at the sweet child. Her voice sounded so funny, like a man trying to imitate a six-year-old little girl. Which was pretty much exactly what it was.

“Do you understand what will happen?” Lesa asked as she watched her son.

The sweetest face turned to her. It was strange seeing that manly face of her son’s look so innocent.

“Mama.” Lizzie cried out as she flew across the distance and landed in Lesa’s lap.

Well, half of her did, anyway. Lesa leaned back as the girl’s head landed in her lap. She sighed as she placed her hand on her son’s head.

“Does she understand?” Ariel asked as she watched her boyfriend cuddle against his mother.

“I understand.” Lizzie said as she looked over at Ariel. “Luka wants us to go to sleep again. But how come?”

“Lukas has done a lot of terrible things.” Lesa said as she stroked her son’s head.

Lizzie sighed as she closed her eyes. “But, Ariel fixed him.”

Lesa looked over at Ariel. The girl has changed Lukas; she has never seen those red eyes look so happy before. And she has heard less and less about people killed by The Sapphire Dreamer.

“Lizzie.” Ariel said as she reached out to touch Luka.

“Ariel, don’t let Luka put me to sleep again.” Lizzie begged as she turned from Lesa and looked at Ariel.

Ariel frowned. “I wish I could, sweetie. I truly do, but it’s his decision…”

“But don’t you still love Lukas?” She asked as she pouted her lips.

Ariel almost laughed. It was so hard to watch her big, strong boyfriend as a little girl.

“I do.” Ariel said with a nod as a tear slid down her cheek. “But, I can’t force Luka to do what he doesn’t want.”

Lizzie burst into tears as she threw herself at Ariel.

Ariel cried with the girl as she held her in her arms. The sound of Luka crying like a little girl; was disturbing. But something she could definitely get used to. If only Luka would keep them and learn to communicate with them.

The crying stopped, and Ariel felt a shift of change from the man in her arms. He pulled back and looked into her eyes.

“Lukas.” She breathed as she laid her hand on his cheek. It was so lovely to touch him without that damn mask.

“Sorry, she’s very emotional. That’s why I keep her locked away.” He said as he continued to look into her eyes.

“Locked away?” Ariel asked as her eyebrows furrowed.

“I keep her from coming forward. I protect her and Luka.” He said as he looked at her lips.

“But who protects you?” She asked as she watched his eyes devour her.

He smiled. “You do.”

She smiled as she wrapped her arms around his neck. He sighed as he leaned into her and held her close.

“Lukas.” Lesa whispered from her place across from them.

Lukas let go of Ariel and turned to Lesa. “I know what Luka wants. But what about what we want? We have our own personalities for a reason…”

“I know, Son.” Kole said as he let out a loud sigh.

“Let’s leave these two alone.” Lesa said as she got to her feet.

Ariel watched Luka’s parents leave the room, then sucked in a shocked breath when Lukas lifted Ariel into his arms and headed for the stairs.

“If I’m going to sleep for the next fifty years, I want one last night with you.” He said without looking at her.

“But it’s day time.” She said as she glanced out the window when they passed it.

He grinned as he pushed open Luka’s bedroom door. “Then I guess I get you for the day, too.”

Ariel laughed with a shake of her head. He stopped at the bed and dropped her onto it; she giggled as she bounced on the mattress.

He went back to the door and locked it, then returned to the bed.

“Come here.” He said with a growl as he grabbed her foot and pulled her to the edge of the bed.

“Lukas.” She breathed as he stripped out of his clothes.

She swallowed as she watched him. He may have Luka’s body, but the muscles seemed to ripple more when Lukas had control. She shivered when she touched his chest.

He grinned at her, then roughly kissed her.

She groaned as he laid her back on the bed, still kissing her. When he stood up, the room was spinning out of control.

“Clothes, off.” He said as he pointed at her.

She removed her clothes, then sucked in a breath when he grabbed her legs and pulled her ass off the edge of the bed. He slipped inside her so effortlessly and paused, as though he was savoring every sensation. Maybe he was.

Maybe he was collecting every memory of her he could; before Luka put him into a deep sleep.

Ariel moaned as Lukas slammed into her. She held onto the blankets as he held her ass off the bed and slammed into her, over and over. She wrapped her legs around his hips and pulled him in deeper.

He grunted when she almost pulled him off balance.

“Easy, Sweetheart.” He said as he caught himself on the edge of the bed.

“Come here.” She said as she held her arms out to him.

He sighed as he leaned over her and let her wrap her arms around his neck, then groaned when she pulled him even deep inside her.

“You’re going to fall off the bed.” Lukas said with a laugh as he held himself above her.

“I don’t care.” She said as she moved her hips and ground herself against him.

He grunted as he kissed her, then pushed her ass back up onto the bed and settled more comfortably between her legs. She cried out when he slammed into her so hard; they moved further up the bed.

“Ariel.” He breathed as his head dipped down to her breasts.

She sucked in a breath when he pulled one of her nipples into his mouth.

“Lukas.” She breathed as her head fell backward as he slammed into her again. “Yes.” She breathed.

“I don’t want you to forget me.” He said as he sat up and took hold of her hips, then pulled her hard against his pelvis, slamming himself deep inside her.

“Oh, God, I won’t.” She cried out as sparks flew past her eyesight.

“Always remember me.” He said as he continued to slam into her.

“Yes.” She whispered. “Always.” She said as she felt tears slide down her cheeks.

He grunted as he slammed into her again. She moaned and arched her back as another orgasm exploded through her body. As she tightened around him, he cried out her name as he released himself deep inside her.

“Don’t forget me.” He said with a groan as he laid across her.

“I won’t.” She said as she looked down at the top of his head and stroked his hair.

“What’s going on?”

“Luka?” She whispered.

Luka looked up at Ariel with the strangest look on his face. Oh, nice one Lukas, right at the end of our lovemaking.

“Were you and Lukas?”

She sighed as she closed her eyes and nodded her head.

Luka looked down at Ariel and felt himself still inside her.

What were you thinking, Lukas? Letting me come back to this.

He felt himself hardening inside her and stared at her beautiful face. Her eyes flew open when she felt it.

He growled as he pushed her further onto the bed, then climbed up and lifted her legs and placed them on his shoulders.

She stared at him as he slipped inside her and grabbed her hips.

“Luka.” She breathed when he began moving inside her.

“Ariel.” He groaned as he slid in and out of her.

Ariel’s eyes rolled to the back of her head as the sensations built inside; until she exploded with a cry.

“Let it out, baby.” He said as he slammed into her harder.

“Oh, God, Luka.” She cried out as her body arched, and he slammed into her again.

He usually liked to take his time with her, but this felt urgent like something important was happening here.

“Please.” She cried out as she moved against him.

He grunted as he slammed into her again and again.

“Yes.” She breathed when he slammed into her deeper and harder.

This wasn’t how Luka usually moved with her. She opened her eyes to make sure it was still him and looked into the most beautiful blue eyes. She smiled as she held onto the blanket, her knuckles turning white.

“You’re so damn hot.” He breathed as he slammed into her over and over.

“Luka.” She breathed when he lifted her higher and slammed into her deeper.

“Damn.” He grunted as he slammed into her. “God, you feel good.”

“You too.” She cried out when her orgasm erupted from her spine and exploded out her eyes, making her dizzy and her vision blurry.

“Ariel.” He cried out as he exploded inside her.

Out of breath, he moved her legs off his shoulders, then slipped out of her. She moaned as he laid beside her and pulled her against him.

“You’re not angry?” She asked as he kissed her shoulder.

“No.” He said as he shook his head. “I think he was just saying goodbye.”

She cried as she leaned into him.

He closed his eyes and held her. It had been a shock to open his eyes and be upstairs rather than downstairs, and at the end of what looked to have been a farewell, from Lukas to his girlfriend.

But what they had just done now was the best sex he has ever had. Slow and easy, may prolong the sensations, but fast and furious has incredible explosions.

“Luka.” Ariel grumbled as she drifted off to sleep.

“It’s okay, Ariel.” He whispered as he kissed her forehead. “Go to sleep.”

She sighed with a smile, then drifted off to sleep.

He held her for a few minutes before he got out of bed, careful not to wake her, and slipped into his clothes. He went down the stairs to the kitchen and found the pills on the counter. He took a deep breath as he picked up the bottle. One a day, for seven days, and Lukas will be asleep; once again.

He opened the bottle and dumped a pill into his hand, then popped it into his mouth and filled a glass with water. He swallowed the capsule with the water, then set the pill bottle back down on the counter.

“Sorry, Ariel.” He whispered as he left the kitchen. “I just can’t share you anymore.”
