Chapter 1

Tanny's POV:

It was the first day of college and I was really excited that day. I parked my bike in the parking lot and started walking towards the auditorium. It was our induction day program by teachers and our seniors.

The teachers talked mostly about the coming semester and attendance. The real fun was in induction by our department: Mechanical engineering.

Our college band, DRSA, were going to perform a live concert for the welcome. The auditorium was a house full of seniors and freshers. I thankfully got a place in the front row.

The curtains dropped and the music started with a keyboard. It's was a soft melody, a cover for some Hindi song. The voice was smooth, I got mesmerized with the sound of it. I first thought it was a girl's voice but as the curtains opened the main singer was a guy.

He is wearing a leather jacket and boots. His jet black hair fell over his eyes and his lips were tinted pink. He held my gaze for "Mujhko Banaya Tere Jaise Hi Kisi Ke Liye" and looked away. I felt the heat rising in my cheeks but I quickly collected myself.

"Who is he?", I asked my neighbour.

"The main lead singer is Drew", the girl said., "Isn't he hot?"

"Yea..."

"that's my best friend we talking about."

I understood the meaning behind it just said okay.

"What's your name?", I ask her at the end of the concert.

"You'll know it in a few minutes."

She said that left. After the songs got over, she came on the stage and introduced herself as Sid. She was their anchor and manager.

The fresher was allocated to the class. We only had one division and I thought it was mostly boys. There were a few girls in the class. I easily made friends with boys and girls and we formed a big group. We discussed the band, everyone loved Drew and Sid.

The lectures started on the first day itself. After college, I saw Drew and Sid sitting with the band in the canteen. I was hesitant at first but gathered the courage to talk to Sid.

"Hey...", I said confidently but inside I was mush.

"Heyy... Tanny right?", Sid asked.

"Yes... I want to join the band.", I said.
They all just looked up at me surprised.

"You are a fresher right?", Sid asked.

"Yup and I can play drums and guitar."

That caught Drew's attention. He looked up at me and said, "Tomorrow, music room at 5 pm."

"Let's take an audition tomorrow and see how it goes.", someone from the group replies.

"Cool. Thank you guys.", I said and took my leave excited for tomorrow.
