Chapter Fourteen - Stephen’s POV
I couldn't believe the day of my wedding had finally arrived. I was woken up early by Clint who said I had to get off the floor up to his and Mia's room, girls orders.
They weren't going to risk me seeing my doll before the ceremony. I grabbed everything I needed and headed off not before shooting off a quick message for my baby to see when she woke up.
Stephen - (Text Message) Good morning my beautiful wife to be, I can't wait to see you. I love you xx
I get everything I need and head off with Clint and tell him to grab coffee on the way.
Clint - So how you feeling bro?
Stephen - I can't wait
Clint - That's my boy. Seeing Mia walk down to me soon to be my wife was the best moment of my life. Enjoy it mate you deserve this.
Stephen - Thanks bro. Soon you'll have another moment to add to that when she has your child.
Clint - I still can't quite believe it. Seeing that little peanut on the screen I felt like finally everything in my life made sense.
I smile at my boy, I can't wait for that moment either. We get up to Clint's room and chill with our coffees for a bit waiting for Dave to arrive. After about an hour and a half of talking and relaxing watching a bit of sport Dave arrives and tells us it's time to get ready.
I head off into the shower and take the time to relax and clear my head, my excitement for today starting to rise now it was time to get ready.
We each take it in turns getting sorted in the bathroom and then getting dressed. Finally I am dressed ready to go and I turn to the
Stephen - So what do you think?
Clint - My boy! Looking sharp
David - Ready to do this soon boss?
Stephen - Couldn't come soon enough mate.
** Trinity's POV **
The girls had told me to be up by 7 so I was up and ready and getting showered. I was feeling a bit nervous but mostly excited to see my husband to be today.
I spent enough time in the shower soothing my nerves and preparing myself for today and got out about 7:30am.
I dried off and headed into my room and picked up my phone to find a message from Stephen. I quickly shot one back
Trinity - (Text Message) Good morning my soon to be handsome husband, I love you and can't wait to see your gorgeous self at the alter xxx
Not long after the girls arrive with the hairdresser and make up artist and of course - Coffee! Godsend!
The hairdresser gets started on Mia's hair and even though Felicity is not in the bridal party I wanted her to feel included so I organised for her to have her hair and make up done with us so the make up artist starts on Felicity.
Once completed they swap girls and continue to work. I watch as the girls are pampered and start to look like the goddesses I know they are.
Once they were getting close to completion I got Mia's dress out for her ready.
Felicity - Oh my that is stunning, that colour is breathtaking.
Mia - Right! I could hardly believe it when she showed me, just stunning
Trinity - Alright stop you two, I am feeling highly emotional today and I will have tears soon.
Mia - Well I am highly hormonal so do not start because so will I.
Felicity - Well I am just a female at a wedding so that is valid in any walk of life
We all laugh and I swap with the girls while they go get changed so I can get my hair and make up done.
After an hour they have finally finished and it is time for me to get changed. I step into the bathroom and get my dress pulled on. Thankfully it has a side zipper so it does not cause me too much hassle to do up.
Once I finally have it on I ask the girls if they are ready and walk out.
Trinity - Well?
Mia - Oh my god! Babe you are effortlessly beautiful. Stephen is going to lose his shit.
Felicity - Wow! You are a goddess girl
Mia - You are missing one thing though
Trinity - What is that babe?
Mia - These
Just as Mia had handed me the flowers Luke walked in.
Luke - Bestie! My god you are a vision. Sweetheart you look just . . . wow I really have now words to do you justice right now. That is one lucky man out there waiting for you.
I pull Luke into a warm hug whispering to him how much I love him and we just hold each other tight for a moment.
Luke - You ready to go get you a husband then babes?
Trinity - I have never been more ready.
Luke said he already checked and the boys all left half an hour ago so we are all clear to head down.
When I get outside I nearly died of shock. I could not believe it.
Trinity - Who? Are you guys serious?
Luke - You can thank your husband for that after the wedding
Trinity - I can not believe he remembered
Sitting in the driveway in front of me ready to take me to my wedding was the car of my dreams the new 2019 Ford Shelby GT 500.
The driver got out and came and opened the back door for me to get in. Luke came around the other side and Felicity and Mia got in a car behind us.
Luke - You ready beautiful
Trinity - I have never been more ready for anything in my life
He grabbed my hand and squeezed it tightly as we sped off towards my future husband. We arrive at the venue and as we are pulling in I can see the alter and it is as beautiful as I imagined it to be. He really had done such an amazing job of organising it.
** Stephen's POV **
I see her car pull up and my heart starts racing as Clint, Dave and I make our way to the front just after all our guests make their way out to their seats.
Dave - You good boss?
Clint - You got this bro
Stephen - I got this, she is all I need
We hear the music start and my heart swells. First we see Mia make her way down and I look to Clint who is beaming. They are watching each other and still can not peel their eyes away. It reminds me of their wedding day.
The officiant asks everyone to stand. While Luke is in her bridal party he will also be walking my doll down the Aisle to me in the absence of her parents.
I straighten and turn to where she is coming from and the moment I see her my heart stops. I feel my breath catch in my throat and I could not take my eyes off her if I tried. Her elegance, her beauty, her poise, she was everything to me. I felt my eyes swell and I did not care who saw. This girl made my heart stop in every sense of the word.
Our eyes met and we could not turn from each other. I did not notice any one else around us. She smiled at me adoringly and we got lost in each other's eyes. I felt the tear run down my cheek and lifted my hand to wipe it away.
As my doll got closer I could feel my heart racing. I felt so humbled in this moment. I felt like I was nothing but a mere man in this goddess presence and not worthy of her. How I ended up so lucky she chose me to be her companion in life, worthy of her heart and her love is something I will be forever grateful for.
As they finally stood before me the officiant asked who gave this woman away.
Luke - I do
He gently kissed her cheek and took his spot next to Mia. We smiled at each other lovingly and I reached up and stroked her cheek.
Stephen - Hi beautiful
Trinity - Hi baby
Stephen - You truly are a goddess
I saw that beautiful blush and I felt another tear run done my cheek. Of course my doll reached out and wiped it away with her soft hands.
Officiant - Please be seated
Officiant - Firstly I would like to begin by welcoming everyone and thanking each and everyone of you for being here on this most happy of days. It is no accident that each of you are here today, and each of you were invited to be here because you represent someone important in the individual and collective lives of Stephen and Trinity
Officiant - I truly can not think of a better venue than this paradise for an occasion that I know is not only monumental for the wedded couple to be, but for all of us who are lucky to know and love them as individuals; but even more so as a perfect pairing.
I smile at my doll as I gently take her hand and rub my thumb over her knuckles.
Officiant - The most remarkable moment in life is when you meet the person who makes you feel complete. The person who makes the world a beautiful and magical place. The person with whom you share a bond so special that it transcends normal relationships and becomes something so pure and so wonderful, that you can't imagine spending another day of your life without them.
Officiant - For Stephen that happened about 25 years ago when he met his best man Clint and they became like brothers, or sometimes overgrown kids if you were to ask Trinity and Clint's wife Mia.
Everyone laughs hysterically. It was typical Clint to make sure he got his spin on things when it came to the vowels.
Officiant - But about 18 months ago Stephen met Trinity, who is pretty wonderful also. I know from speaking with their friends and loved ones how deeply these two care for and love one another, and I feel privileged to be here today among all of you as a witness of their commitment to a lifetime of love for one another.
Officiant - Now Stephen and Trinity have asked that I keep this speech short, classy and family friendly, and politely asked me to leave out stories that are unflattering to either of them. So I had to redline stories provided by Clint like the infamous Kitchen Saga.
I watch as my doll goes bright red before we all burst out laughing. I swear Clint is going to pay for that later when she gets her chance. I hear him roaring with laughter behind me and I can't help but laugh myself.
Officiant - These two represent a perfect pairing because each of them compliments the other so well. They balance one another and while each of them are tremendous individuals in their own right, together they are even better. And being better together, as a team, a unit, is what has been so long in the making and ultimately leads us to being here today, witnessing their commitment to one another in front of those they love most.
Officiant - I wish I could tell you a single story about Stephen and Trinity that summarises their relationship and how they enrich each other's lives, and the lives of each of us, but the truth is there is not one single event that is a good encapsulation of what they mean to each other and all of us.
Officiant - But what I do know is that both of them care deeply and passionately for each other, they protect each other, they make each other laugh and think outside themselves, that time magically seems to fly and slow down when they are together. They help each other in ways that are obvious and unnoticed, but always appreciated. So without further ado -
Officiant - Dearly beloved and honoured guests, we are gather together here to join Stephen and Trinity in the union of Marriage.
Officiant - This contract is not to be entered into lightly, but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realisation of the lifelong obligation and responsibility.
Officiant - The bride and groom have each prepared vows that they will read now. Stephen will go first.
Stephen - Trinity because of you, I laugh, I smile, I dare to dream again. I look forward with great joy to spending the rest of my life with you, caring for you, nurturing you, being there for you in all life has for us, and I vow to be true and faithful for as long as we both shall live. I take you to be my partner, loving what I know of you, trusting what I do not yet know. I eagerly anticipate the chance to grow together, getting to know the woman you will become and falling in love a little more with you each day. I promise to love and cherish you through whatever life may bring us. You are my best friend, my lover and my soul, and I will love and respect you always.
I look at my doll and see the tears in her eyes and I mouth to her I love you as my own tear rolls down my face. She gently brushes my fingers with hers.
Trinity - If you grow weak, I will be there to fight your battles for you. I will help you with your responsibilities and make your problems my own in order to spread the weight a bit more evenly. If you have to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders, I will be standing shoulder to shoulder with you. From this day forward I promise these things, I will laugh with you in times of joy and comfort you in times of sorry, I will share in your dreams and support you as you strive to achieve your goals. I will listen to you with compassion and understanding and speak to you with encouragement. I will help you when you need it, and step aside when you do not. I will remain faithful to you for better or worse, in times of sickness and health. You are my best friend, my lover and my soul, and I will love and respect you always.
I grip her hands a little tighter as she mouths back to me I love you and her tears start to fall which I capture in my own fingers.
Officiant - And no the vows
Officiant - Stephen, do you take Trinity to be your wife. Do you promise to love, honour, cherish and protect her, forsaking all other, and holding only onto her forevermore?
Stephen - I do
Officiant - Trinity, do you take Stephen to be your husband. Do you promise to love, honour, cherish and protect him, forsaking all overs, and holding only onto him forevermore?
Trinity - I do
Officiant - Stephen and Trinity will now exchange rings as a symbol of love and commitment to each other. Rings are a precious commitment to each other. Rings are a precious metal; they are also made precious by you wearing them. Your wedding rings are special, they enhance who you are. They mark the beginning of your long journey together. Your wedding ring is a circle, a symbol of love never ending. It is the seal of the vows you have just taken to love each other without end.
Officiant - Stephen please place the ring on Trinity's left hand and repeat after me
Officiant - As a sign of my love
Stephen - As a sign of my love
Officiant - That I have chosen you
Stephen - That I have chosen you
Officiant - Above all else
Stephen - Above all else
Officiant - With this ring, I thee wed
Stephen - With this ring, I thee wed
I gently slide the ring down her beautiful finger and hold her hand tightly as I look into her beautiful loving eyes.
Officiant - And Trinity, please place the ring on Stephen's left hand and repeat after me
Officiant - As a sign of my love
Trinity - As a sign of my love
Officiant - That I have chosen you
Trinity - That I have chosen you
Officiant - Above all else
Trinity - Above all else
Officiant - With this ring, I thee wed
Trinity - With this ring, I thee wed
She slid the ring down my finger and for the first time in my life I felt complete. Everything in this world that was important to me was now my wife.
Officiant - To make your relationship work will take love. Continue to date each other. Take time to show each other that your love and marriage grows stronger with time. It will take trust to know that in your hearts, you truly want what is best for each other. It will take dedication to stay open to one another and to learn and grow together. It will take loyalty to go forward together, without know exactly what the future brings. And it will take commitment to hold true to the journey you have both pledged today.
Officiant - And now by the power vested in me by the State of Illinois, it is my honour and delight to declare you married. Go forth and live each day to the fullest. You may seal this declaration with a kiss.
I gently touch my beautiful doll's cheek and whisper to her.
Stephen - Hi wife
Trinity - Hi husband
I pull her beautiful body to me and I gently grab her soft cheeks in both hands as my lips lock with her soft delicate own. My tongue softly nudges at her bottom lip and she opens accepting me as I bend her back and kiss her with all the passion I have in me for her. Time stops as I get lost in this magnificent woman, my wife.
I slowly bring her back up holding her life the delicate goddess she is, staring deep into her soul as she gets lost in mine in return.
Officiant - I am pleased to present to you all Mr and Mrs Gotti.
