What is it? It’s an illusion.
Google defines it as ‘the power of apparently influencing events by using mysterious or supernatural forces’ and on the other hand, Wikipedia defines it as ‘Magic is the application of beliefs, rituals or actions employed in the belief that they can subdue or manipulate natural or supernatural beings and forces. It is a category into which have been placed various beliefs and practices sometimes considered separate from both religion and science’.
Pretty much the same thingy.
If you ask me, magic is neither a supernatural phenomenon nor it’s something mysterious. It is something though.
It is something that happens everyday, every single moment. Magic is not necessarily a quality or blessing possessed by only wizards or witches. Magic is for everyone.
Magic is a beautiful reality.
A new born child opening their eyes and seeing their mum for the first time, that’s magic. A deer calf learning to walk for the first time, that’s magic. A butterfly emerging from a cocoon, that’s magic. Every single thing around us, small or big, can be magic.
Yes it is an illusion, but sometimes, reality can be mistaken for an illusion too, right?
Magic does not have a boundary. It’s not only spells and waving wands, it is far beyond that. It is something that’s present in every single one of us.
In my opinion, anything and everything can be magic. The lovely fireworks a person feels when that special someone smiles adoringly at them. The sweet sound of a hummingbird, the soft feeling of a furry puppy in your lap, the raindrops crashing grandly on the leaves of a glorious tree and the stars shining proudly in the perfect night sky, they are magic.
We cannot define magic, it differs from one to another. The more we observe, the more we can understand what exactly is this.
Magic will be magic, a simple five-letter word, a word beyond understanding.
