Life never goes exactly how you want it to. You can have everything planned out to a “T”, but in the end it won’t matter. The truth is, you can’t control everything that will happen to you. In all honesty, I don’t think you would want to. Because sometimes even the worst surprises end up being a blessing.
I always saw my life so simply. I’d find my mate, have a few pups, my family would be so happy for me, and we’d all live happily ever after. That’s not how it happened at all. Not one bit.
Seeing as I am from the Tanzanite Moon pack, the smallest pack in the world, we don’t often get Omegas. In some packs, Omega’s are a gift. In others, they’re an abomination. I’ve been fortunate enough to be graced with a loving, accepting family from a gracious, amazing pack. I know some of us aren’t as blessed and I thank the Moon Goddess every night for it.
The thing is… my mate was never supposed to be an Alpha. Never. I don’t do well with authority. And it most certainly wasn’t supposed to be the Alpha of one of the best packs in the world.
My little pack in Maine would become a distant memory when I moved to South Carolina with the Sapphire Moon pack.
I’m sure you’re asking yourself, “What’s so bad about that?”
Well, let me explain it.
Simply put, I was to be the Luna of the pack. I was to have pups. I was to be a leader. Notice it’s all past tense. I almost lost the chance to do all of that…
