The certain one

A few days later it was sunday. We had to go to school tomorrow. But for Max's buisness, there was going to be a specail ball. I don't really know what it is about but I am going to find out.

I was staring at my reflection in the mirror. I didn't recognize the person that was reflecting. I had on a dark blue dress. It was tight until my torso and then proofed out. I don't know how I am going to fit in the car. I had white gloves on. It made my chest look good. And to the end of the dress. There was silver.

My hair was flowing down. It was curled.

There was a knock on the door. "Come in." I said not looking away from my reflection. I saw Max come in from the mirror. I smiled and turned around.

He studied my body. I wouldn't blame him. He was wearing a black suit. It looked so cute on him. I wouldn't tell him that though. "You look beautiful." He said. I giggled. "Well you look hansome." I replied back.

We made our way to another mansion. I found myself at the entrance. I don't know how I managed to fit my whole dress in that car but it worked. I walked in by myself. Max had to have a different entrance because he is part of the mafia business.

I walked through the hall way. It was designed beautifully. I was greeted by hard and I was automatically allowed to go in. I walked through the doors and into the ball room. As soon as I walked in all eyes were on me. I am guessing everyone knows about me and Max. Most of the girls gave me jealous looks. And the guys gave me hungry ones.

I walked over to Sam and Evan. They were invited since they were friends with Max. "Hey guys." I said. They looked my way and explored me. I rolled my eyes.

"Eyes up here!" I said while pointing to my eyes. They chuckled and than looked behind me. I fallowed there actions. Then I saw Max walking down the stairs with another man. Once they reached the bottom they were greeted by other people. I sighed and started chatting with Sam and Evan.

"Care to dance?" Evan Said. I nodded. We made our way to the dance floor and danced for a bit while talking.

"Mind if I cut in?" I heard someone say. I looked behind me and saw a man. He looked intimidating. I nodded not wanting to make a scene, because I know that will happen if i refuse. I got in my position with him to dance.

"So you are Max's girl right?" He said. I nodded.

"Well he is very lucky." He said. I looked around trying to find Max but I couldn't. I was staring to feel uncomfortable. "Do you love him?" He said. Bow this was getting to far. "Yes of course." I said. He sighed. "Well you shouldn't. Max is not capable of love." He said. I whipped my head toward him.

I tried leaving his arm but he wouldn't let me. "Nick stop." I heard the one voice that I wanted to here. I was released and I looked over to Max and smiled. I hugged him. That was horrible. He put his bare hands on my bare back. His warmth shot through my body.

We started dancing. "Was he a bother?" Max said. I looked over to him and gulped. "I mean he said some uncomfortable things." I said. Max clenched his jaw. I didn't like it so I kissed his cheek. He calmed down.

"What did he say?" He asked as I looked around. "He said that you are un capable of love. But I know you are because you love me." I said. Max nodded.

Max and I walked over to some people. There were two men and a girl. She looked our age. Me and Max had our elbows linked. While he was talking to the men. The girl just stared at Max like he was candy. It was gross.

I tried to ignore it by looking around. Than I saw someone familiar. That guy was at the warehouse. I saw him talking to the guards. I had wide eyes.

I looked over to Max. "Max." I said. He whipped his head to me. "What is it love?" He said. I had a nervous face. He looked worried. "That guy over there was at the warehouse." I said. He looked up and he spotted him.

"Don't leave my side." He said. I nodded. He talked with the men again. I felt like I was being watched. Bot by one person but by like 10. I don't like this. I glued to Max's side more. The girl was getting angry her face was red.

Than suddenly she held out a gun and pointed it at me. Max looked at us. "Kaylee stop! What do you think you are doing!?" He said. Kaylee. She smirked.

"This bitch thinks that she can take you from me!" She yelled. Now this was causing a scene. Max tried grabbing my arm but Kaylee held on the trigger more. Max backed away. "Now you are going walk out and leave. I don't want to see you with him aga in n." She said. I was terrified.

All I could do was nod. I did what she said. And left. I ran away. Not caring if anyone missed me. I ran to my mansion and changed into Jean's and a gray hoodie. I grabbed my phone, charger, and book bag and left. I ran down the street sobbing. I was so scared.

It felt like I have been walking for hours. But in reality it has been 30 minutes. I sat down at a bench next to a park. I didn't know what to do. I know that Max will come looking for me.

I went on my phone and saw tons of missed calls. I saw a voicemail. I picked it up and listened to it.

Celia please come home. Kaylee was taken care of. Please.

I sighed and started walking back. But my legs couldn't. But I pushed myself.

I walked through the front door. I walked to the liv in my room and saw Max. When he saw me he came to me and hugged me. "Where did you go?!" He said. I wanted to sleep. I hugged him back and cried. I cried because I loved him. I cried because this isn't fair. I cried because I wanted a normal life. I cried because I wanted him.

He picked me up and carried me to our room. He sat me on the bed. "I have something for you." He said. I nodded. He walked to the dresser and pulled out something. He handed it to me and I studied it. They were plane tickets. To Hawaii.

I looked at him with a confused face. "We are going to Hawaii with Sam, Evan, and Amanda. We are living there. I don't care about school. I just care about us." He said. I smiled and cried again because I was happy. He layed me down and layed on me. We fell asleep.
