When the Sky Falls

To say that Zain was overwhelmed with happiness will still be an understatement. He couldn't believe that everything had gone by with a blink of the eye and he had finally approached the day he was wishing for all his life.

And quite literally.

"Hold your horses, Zee. I can't believe that I got stuck with you! You take more time than my own sister to get ready. Just put on the damn kurta and get this over with." Sejal complains but Zain doesn't pay attention to her.

He is just way too happy.

A month has passed by since he last saw Kiara. Even though they video called every time they were free and talked over the phone numerous times, it was never the same as touching her. Feeling her lips over his. A smile appeared on his face when he remembered what she had told him the last time they saw each other.

Because I am marrying you as soon as your tour gets over. I can't wait any longer.

The words were constantly running in his head for every second in the past month. He would dream about building a family with Kiara, having children with her and even grow old with her. The thought just made him smile more.

Kiara had assured him that the wedding plans have been taken care of and that he needs to focus on his concerts only. She had sent Sejal to give him the attire he would be wearing for the day.

The day being today.

"Wipe that stupid grin off your face, we are going to be late. You don't want to leave my sister hanging on her wedding or else I am pretty sure your wedding night will be ruined. And truthfully, she might be young but I am expecting some good news soon." Sejal says.

"Your wish is my command, princess." he chuckles.

Even the thought of Kiara having a swollen belly, carrying his child just turned him on for some unknown reason.

He didn't care when they had kids, as long as it was with her.

The girl of his dreams. The only girl her ever loved.

"Okay, we are done here. You don't need makeup as such. Wear this turban before we get there. Now give me the car keys." Sejal says.

Zain throws it at her and she catches it perfectly.

Sejal looked dressed up for the occasion too - with her light yellow lehenga having floral imprints and simple gold jewellery. She looked so much like her sister and Zain might be biased but he knew that Kiara is going to be the most beautiful bride ever.

The duo walks to the car after getting everything and get in. Sejal gets in, starting the engine.

"Why did she make me sleep in the penthouse?" Zain asks, confused.

He had come back to New York after his last concert in Tokyo and Kiara wasn't there to meet him at the airport - Sejal was.

"Because tradition demands that the groom should not see the bride before the wedding. So, as I said again you aren't allowed to meet her as of now. Moreover, you will be seeing her in... twenty-eight minutes! Shit, we are late!" Sejal replies and drives faster.

"Calm down, I want to reach my own wedding in one piece." Zain says.

"You don't want to meet the angry version of my sister. So, let me handle this." she replies.

"You are lucky that you are driving! Remember that you are just sixteen and have your learner's permit," he replies.

"I know." Sejal replies and with her tone of voice Zain got the idea that it is not a good idea to complain to her more.

The two sisters are too much alike. Too stubborn for their own good.

Zain's phone starts ringing and when he sees the caller ID, a smile forms on his face.

"You miss me that much, han?" Zain says as he picks up the phone.

"You know that I miss you every second you are away from me." Kiara replies but Zain could detect the worry in her voice.

Is she having second thoughts about marrying him?

"What's wrong?" he asks.

He hears her sigh from the other end. Zain's heart skips a beat - he wasn't scared, in fact he was paranoid right now. He knew that things were just going too good for him!

"Zain are you sure that you want to marry me?"

Her question puts all the questions away but his worry never leaves him. Why is even asking him that?

"More sure than anything I have been in my entire life. I love you with all my heart and want to spend my entire life with you. You are all I dream about, angel. Fuck oxygen, you are the only thing I need to breathe. You are the only face I want to see when I wake up. I want to live in a world where you exist beside me, without you my life is a waste." he says, pouring his heart out.

There is a pregnant pause and Zain is surely worried whether he said something wrong or not.

"Get here quick. Let's get this wedding over with because I seriously can't wait to ride you tonight. Damn, you just made me fucking horny right now." she replies.

Zain chuckles but her words are enough to make him excited. He can't wait to devour her tonight too.

Just him and Kiara.

That's perfect for him.

"Well, now that you mention it, I can't wait to get my hands -" he says but is rudely interrupted.

"I am right here, Zain! Do not talk about how you are going to make love to my sister tonight! I don't want to scar myself for life." Sejal complains causing him to chuckle.

"Way to spoil the mood, sister. Get here quick. I can't wait to see you. Love you." Kiara says.

"I love you more. Bye," he says and disconnects the line.

A huge grin reappears on his face. The reality then really dawns on him.

Holy shit. He is going to marry his childhood love.

Kiara will be his forever. He couldn't be happier. He knew that this was going to be a tough ride for them because of their careers yet he knew that no matter what happens he will always come back to her. And for some reason, he knew that she would always be there for him.

Gosh, he loved her so much.

But then, he hears Sejal shout and before he can comprehend anything, everything goes black.

All he could feel is pain.

Holy hell. What just happened?!

So, the ending approaches soon. I will try to update as soon as possible. Stay tuned.
