My Valerie

I woke up to the feeling of kisses being peppered all over my face. As soon as I opened my eyes I was met with a very hot-looking Adrien looking at me with his morning hair that sent a sense of serenity throughout my body.

He balanced on his elbow to look at me with a smile. His eyes sparkled with love and admiration, his gaze hovering all over my face like he was trying to memorize every part of me.

“Good morning,” he whispered with his sexy morning voice while stroking my hair.

“Hi,” I said with a laugh. “Last time I told you good morning you got mad at me,” I said making him sigh. It was my first day working with him and he yelled at me because apparently, I was acting like we were friends.

“You’re so beautiful,” he whispered, tracing my hairline and tucking loose strands behind my ear. I smiled at him feeling a strange warmth engulf me. A feeling I have longed for my entire life.

“I love your smile.” He bent down and kissed my lip before lifting his head once more to look at me. As if waiting for me to scold him but I was too starstruck to care that he kissed me with my morning breath.

“And I love yours, you should do it more often,” I said. Extending my arm out so I can cup his jaw and feel the gentle stubble growing on it.

He chuckled and bent down to kiss the tip of my nose. “Only when there is a reason to.”

“How are you feeling?” He asked as he ran his hands up my exposed leg and began massaging the inside of my thighs.

“Just a little sore,” I mumbled and felt my face heat up as the memories of what we did the night before came rushing in.

“Sorry,” he said with a smirk making me roll my eyes. It was his fault. "Are you though?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"No." He moved his hands up and tugged on the hoodie I was wearing so he could expose the base of my neck before he bit his lip and traced the mark with his thumb. I pressed my lips together and threw my head back when the pleasure surged through my body making him chuckle as I mentally cursed him for having so much control over me. "I like what that does to you."

He leaned down and sucked on my lips very sensually before he pulled away to trace them with his thumb. “I can’t get enough of how beautiful you are.” He repeated with a warm smile on his face as he looked into my green eyes.

“Oh stop! I’m not even-” I stopped when I saw his glare. “I guess if you say so.”

“You’re not even what?” He asked and I gulped.

“You know…” I trailed.

“No, say it. I want to hear you say it. I dare you.”

I looked away from him and stared at the door instead, planning my escape from him but he placed his fingers on my chin and tilted my head to face him again.

“I’m just-” I bit the inside of my cheek. “All those other women that were usually around you, they are so gorgeous and next to them I look like... I don’t know.” I shrugged. I felt my insecurity kick in when my thoughts went back to them. I wasn't ugly and I knew I was pretty but comparing myself to them I felt insecure.

“I don’t want to hear you say it ever again. That was the last time you ever think less about yourself. You’re so fucking beautiful and gorgeous inside and out. They have nothing against you, and I’d break my own arms if I was lying.”

I looked at him and gave him a sad smile. He had no idea how much those words meant coming from him. What I had with him was all I’ve ever wanted for a really long time.

“You make me feel like the luckiest girl in the world,” I said, making him smile big before a sad expression took over his face and he sat up.

I watched carefully and sat up too. “I hurt you a lot didn’t I?” He asked. My lips parted and I stared at him in confusion.

“Adrien. What?”

“Before. When I kept pushing away, I hurt you,” he said and looked deep into my eyes.

I pressed my lips into a thin line before looking up at him and shaking my head. He did hurt me but I didn’t want to ruin our moment by telling him that.

“Don’t lie to me, Valerie. I didn’t treat you right and I know that.”

“Adrien I don’t care about what happened before. Yes, you hurt me and drove me crazy but that doesn’t matter anymore and I forgive you. You’re here and you’re showing me who you are. All that matters is where we are now,” I said and moved to place my forehead against his.

“I don’t deserve you,” he said with a sigh and gave me a quick peck on the lips.

“No you don’t,” I said and stuck my tongue out before jumping off the bed and running to the bathroom to get away from him.

“Oh don’t get too cocky now,” he said and ran after me. I tried shutting the door in his face while laughing but he stopped me and managed to sneak in.

“What now I don’t get any privacy?” I asked with my arms crossed and raised an eyebrow.

“What do you need privacy for. I’ve seen it all,” he said and wrapped his arms around my neck as he brushed his nose against my skin very seductively.

“Now are you trying to seduce me?” I asked as shivers went down my spine and I tried not to make my shaky voice obvious.

“I don’t seduce people, Valerie,” he whispered.

I snapped out of whatever spell he had me under and smacked his chest. “Get out!”

“Why can’t we shower together. Saves water,” he said and my cheeks immediately heated up.

“Adrien!” I said making him laugh before he turned and walked towards the door.

“I’m just kidding. Unless you want to,” he said with a raised eyebrow but gulped and left when he saw me glaring at him.

I was making us a coffee when Adrien walked into the kitchen. His hair was wet straight out of the shower and his eyes so bright making me melt just at the sight of him.

“Hi. I'm making my signature coffee,” I said with a smile as I placed our two mugs on the counter to pour the coffee into them.

“Hey,” he mumbled and came up behind me to wrap his hands around my waist before burying his head into my shoulders. “Your coffee smells good.”

“Well then you should be happy I made you some,” I said and turned around to hand him his mug. We moved to sit on the stools around the counter and I stared at him silently before a smile crept up my face.

“You know yesterday Mia showed me this thing she did. It was a kid’s training center and I fell in love with it. I was thinking we could do that,” I said and he looked up at me from his coffee mug.

“Kids?” He asked and I nodded. “Why?”

“Because it’s nice for them to be able to defend themselves from a young age. Do it with me,” I said while giving him puppy eyes.

“If you want to do it you can. But I already train warriors and I can’t handle kids. I’ll probably yell at them and make them cry,” he said and I slumped my shoulders.

“Then I’ll do it with Sebastian,” I said and his attention snapped to me. “You stole my training partner from me by forcing him to train with you. So it’s fair.”

“Why? Are you jealous?” I asked with a raised eyebrow when I could already feel his jealousy through the mate bond.

“Why would I be jealous? You have MY mark. I just don’t like the way he looks at you.”

“The way he looks at me?” I asked with wide eyes. “He’s my friend!” I gasped.

“Well he doesn’t look at you that way,” he mumbled and continued sipping his coffee.

“I think you’re seeing things,” I began to say when I was interrupted by the doorbell. “I’ll go see,” I said and hopped off the stool to walk up to the door.

“Mason! Hi,” I said. Confused when I saw him standing by the door. I looked down and saw Angelina pop up from behind him with the biggest smile on her face.

“Your best friend here threw a tantrum because someone stopped spending time with their little sister. So here she is.” He smiled and pushed her towards me.

My eyes widened and I stared at him in disbelief. “Hi, baby. AJ can you go inside please?” I asked and she nodded before walking in with her little Minnie mouse dress.

“You can't just do whatever she wants. She’ll get used to it,” I said in a hushed voice and he rolled his eyes.

“Not my fault you failed to make time for her since you found Adrien. You’re her best friend,” he said, making me feel slightly guilty for not making time for her.

He looked at me for a moment before I saw his nose scrunch up. I knew exactly what he was thinking about and I felt the heat rise to my cheeks. “You’re marked?” He asked and I nodded while trying to hide my smile and the butterflies inside me.

“YO GREY!” He yelled as he peeked his head into the house. “If you hurt her I’ll kill you or make you a rogue,” he said and I smacked him really hard when I saw Adrien come into view and say “I won’t.” before walking away again.

“Just warning him.” He shrugged. “I have to go. I have things to do,” he said and turned to walk away. "Also. I'm really happy for you. Wait till mom finds out." He winked. I stared at him in disbelief and shook my head. My day would be interesting.

I walked back into the house and paused when I saw the sight in front of me. I held back my laugh as I watched Adrien standing still staring at Angelina while she stared back at him. She looked like a little pea next to his huge form.

“What’s going on here?” I asked and his gaze immediately snapped to me.

“What is this?” He asked in a hushed voice as he walked over to me and I smacked his arm.

“She is not a what. You mean WHO is this. It’s my sister if you don’t remember,” I said and he sighed.

“Oh trust me I remember. I meant what is the meaning of this. Why is there a kid in our house? Why did he just leave without her?”

“Mason brought her over because she threw a tantrum,” I said and he pressed his lips into a thin line.

“I don’t like kids,” he mumbled, making me gasp.

“Hey AJ. Come say hi to Adrien,” I said and saw his eyes widen. It looked more like he was afraid of kids than not liking them. But it made sense since his childhood wasn’t exactly surrounded by nice kids.

"Hi." Angelina smiled and walked over to us before she looked up at him, showing him her teeth. “You’re so tall,” she mumbled as she stared at him in wonder.

“I know right! He can carry you up high if you want,” I said and held back my smirk. Adrien’s head snapped in my direction before he gave me a deadly glare. “Valerie I’ve told you before not to test me,” he whispered for me to hear and I shrugged. If we were alone I might have been a tiny bit scared, but Angelina was there so he couldn’t do anything.

“YES!” Angelina shrieked and jumped as her dress's tutu fluffed around with her. “Mason makes me fly,” she said and stood foot to foot with him.

He shook his head at me before bending down and lifting her up, “you wanna fly?” He asked and she nodded. “All right.”

He took a few steps back and threw her up making her scream and laugh before he caught her in his arms. “Again!” She said and he did just that. I smiled as I watched him completely out of his comfort zone but it looked adorable. It kind of made me think of a future with him. He and I with our little minions running around this huge house.

“Okay. I have work to do,” he said as he placed her down making her frown as he ruffled her hair.

"Are you Ree's boyfriend?" She asked and I saw him try not to laugh. He looked up at me with a smirk before looking back at her.

"I am," he said and she hummed. She still didn't know what mates were. To her, it was boyfriend and girlfriend.

“Do you have the frozen city?” She asked both of us, making Adrien look at me with a confused expression. She had basically everything from that movie at home and her favorite was her figures of the characters so she could make a story with them or reenact the scenes.

“She means figures from the frozen movie,” I said and he continued looking at me like I was speaking gibberish. “Frozen? The kid’s movie with an ice queen and a snowman,” I said with a raised eyebrow.

“You don’t know frozen?” Angelina asked him with a loud gasp and placed her hands on her hips very sassily.

“No.” He simply said and I rolled my eyes. Figures, he didn’t watch movies and certainly not kid movies.

“It’s okay. We can play together,” she said and I held back from bursting out loud at the thought of Adrien playing with her.

“I’m sorry little one, I have work to do but your sister here is free. She can play with you all day,” he said and gave me a stupid smirk. He thought he did something, but I was used to having Angelina around and she eventually fell asleep from exhaustion after playing for a few hours.

“That’s fine. We can go have a girl’s day with auntie Stella. She is more fun than he is,” I said and took her hand. “Maybe I’ll visit Sebastian too,” I said just to tick him off.

He looked at me with a raised eyebrow. “Sebastian is busy.”

“I’m sure he can make time,” I said and saw his fingers curl up.

“Angelina there is chocolate in the fridge if you want,” he said and she jumped up before practically running to the kitchen.

“Don’t do that Valerie. It’s not cool,” he said with a low growl as soon as she left. “You stay away from other men. Especially unmated ones.”

“I’m just kidding, chill,” I said and rolled my eyes.

“Don’t roll your eyes on me. It’s not funny. You’re mine and I don’t like Sebastian,” he said. My eyes widened at how much my joke pissed him off.

“Calm down Adrien. I know I’m yours and you’re mine. It was a joke,” I said and walked closer to him, placing my hands on his chest.

He moved my hair away, making his mark visible as a smile appeared on his face.

“Do you want some?” Angelina’s little voice interrupted our little silent conversation. Adrien dropped his hands quickly and turned to look at her.

“No, it’s for you,” he said and I turned to see MY Hershey’s chocolate bar in her hands. I should have known since he didn't eat chocolate.

“I will get you back,” I whispered so that only he could hear me and saw him try to keep a straight face.

I stayed with Angelina while Adrien went to his office to finish off his work. I promised her that if she behaved we would go see Stella which excited her more than anything because Stella spoilt her more than anyone else.

We ended up going to the park with her before dropping her back at my mom and dad’s house with the biggest smile on her face. Seeing her happy made me happy. My mom and dad, on the other hand, had a little freak out session after they found out I was marked. It was really funny.

As soon as I walked back into the house I was met with a very worried-looking Adrien pacing around the living room. “Goddess. Valerie,” he said and let out a breath of relief and pulled me against him.

“Why were you not answering my calls?” He asked and I looked at him in confusion.

“You called?” I asked and he nodded. “I didn’t hear it. Why? What’s wrong?” I asked.

“Nothing. I was just worried,” he said before I heard his phone buzzing. “I have to take this,” he mumbled and walked away to his office. I stood there awkwardly not knowing why he was behaving so weirdly. It wasn’t the first time I’ve left the house.
