I had read enough romance books to know that when a guy says “No.” he usually means it and you break up.
I wouldn’t let that happen to me. I snarled. Then walked towards him. He was already in fighting stance. I sighed. Was he stupid? I would never hurt him. Instead, I used a manoeuvre that made him fall back. There was a sofa behind him.
I take a seat on the floor and try to talk.
“Yes, I am an-” I start.
He shuts his ears. I frown. Why is he behaving so childish?
Instead, I mindlink him. Because of our mate bond, he’ll not be able to ignore him.
“Yes, I am an assassin wolf. I used to be really good at it you know? But I wanted more. I wanted a pack life. So I requested your father, went through the ordeals, and now I’m no longer an assassin.”
He relaxes. Then pulls me into his arms.
I inhale his pine and musk scent and snuggled in his warmth.
“I’m sorry.” He mutters on the top of my head.
He pushes Alpha Kamen, who by the way, is still out cold, out the door.
“What did he want anyway?”
I snort. “To sleep with me.”
Tyler growls in anger and looks at Kamens form like he wanted to give it a good kick.
I reached up and hugged him. “Chill. I’m yours.”
