There's a spring in my step and my heart feels light as I make my way home to Kate. I only saw her a few hours ago for lunch, but I miss her. She's got me completely wrapped around her finger, I'd do anything for that woman. I sound like a fucking sap, she's changed me so much in such a short amount of time. But I won't deny how happy I am.

I open the door to our horrid pink apartment and step inside. Taking off my coat, I call out to Kate.

“Honey! I'm home!” I hear that sweet giggle that makes my heart swell and hear her sexy Australian accent ring through the apartment.

“I'm in the kitchen!” I hang my coat in the closet and make my way to the kitchen, walking straight behind Kate as she stands at the stove and wrapping my arms around her slim waist. I nuzzle my face into her neck, inhaling her soft floral scent as if it's my life blood. She leans into me, I place soft kisses along her neck causing a moan to escape her lips. I chuckle quietly.

“How was the rest of your day?” I ask her.

“Mm pretty good, Nicole called. How was yours?” she replies. I kiss her neck one more time as she turns in my arms and wraps hers around my neck. I pull her body plush against mine.

“Long, but productive. How's your friends?” I ask, genuinely curious. She smiles brightly.

“Well, Nicole's pregnant.” She states excitedly. “She's about 3 months now.” She continues.

“That's great news.” I say. Although I haven't met many of her friends, only the commandos, I feel like I know them with how often Kate talks about them.

“Yeah, she's pretty happy, I imagine Brads over the moon.” She tells me.

“They already have a kid right?” I ask. She nods her head.

“Yeah, Tommy, he's two.” Her eyes sparkle when she mentions Tommy. I can tell she adores her nieces and nephews. “Maybe we could go visit them... I still have to pack up my house and I could show you Perth.” She states. I freeze and furrow my brow, Ethan's words running through my head. I never told Kate her parents were in Perth, there was so much more going on with the cafe shooting and James.

“We can't go right now...” I tell her hesitantly. Kate's brow furrows in confusion.

“Well, I mean, I didn't think we'd pack and leave tonight...” she says with a frown. I sigh and hold her tighter, knowing I have to tell her what Ethan told me.

“Ethan told me your parents were in Perth, Kate... they know about us.” I tell her. Her eyes widen and I see a moment of fear cross her features.

“When did he tell you that?” Kate asks, I can feel the tension in her body.

“When they came here...” I say. She pulls out of my arms quickly.

“And you're just telling me now?” she asks, bewildered.

“Kate...” I say softly. I step forward to bring her back into my arms but she moves away. I drop my arms in defeat. “You had just gone through the cafe shooting, and then the whole thing with James, I didn't want you to worry... Ethan told me we would be told if they came to the states.” I tell her. She looks hurt that I didn't tell her and a stab of guilt hurts my heart.

“I'm not a child, Chase.” She scolds. I step towards her again and wrap her in my arms, she tenses but doesn't pull away.

“I know you're not. But anyone who had gone through what you did would find it hard, no matter their age. I just didn't want to put more on your plate.” I say honestly. She sighs and relaxes a little in my embrace. I pull her closer and bury my face in her hair. “I'm sorry.” I mumble. She nods against my chest but doesn't say anything.

“As soon as we know it's safe we will go ok?” I assure her. She nods again and I rub her back to comfort her. “I love you Kate, I don't think I'd survive if anything happened to you.” I say honestly. Her arms wrap around my waist and she squeezes me before speaking in my chest.

“I love you too.” She whispers. My heart flutters at her words and I smile into her hair. I kiss the top of her head as she pulls away.

“Dinners ready.” She states. I let her go with a sigh.

“What are we having?” I ask. She gives me a wicked grin.

“Tofu with kale and quinoa.” She replies evilly. My eyes widen as I look at Kate

“Seriously?” I ask, thinking that the torture part of our relationship was over. She laughs and shakes her head.

“Nah, steak andpotatoes.” She grins.

“Oh thank god.” I grab my chest dramatically, making her laugh ring out louder. She moves to plate up dinner and sits it on the bench in front of me. Walking around the bench she sits down next to me and we eat in silence. I won't lie, when she's not trying to kill me with rabbit food, Kate is an awesome cook. “Where'd you learn to cook?” I ask out of curiosity. She simply shrugs her shoulders.

“Well... if I didn't cook, we didn't eat growing up, so I had to teach myself. Ethan can cook a bit, but when I was old enough to reach the microwave I took over.” She tells me. My heart sinks, thinking of a small Kate having to fend for herself.

“I'm sorry...” I whisper. She looks at me as she chews the steak in her mouth and swallows.

“For what?” she asks confused.

“For your childhood... or lack of, for how you grew up.” I tell her.

“It's not your fault.” She says with a shrug.

“I know, but I still hate that you went through that.” I reply. She gives me a small smile.

“It is what it is... I know people who had it a lot worse than me, at least I had Ethan to look out for me, and a lot of people don't even have that.” She tells me. I take her hand in mine and squeeze it. She's so nonchalant about her childhood, about everything she's been through. She doesn't seem to let it get to her, she just deals with it and moves on. I admire that about her.

“You're amazing you know that?” I tell her.

“I know.” She smiles at me and I can't help but laugh.

“Modest too.” I tease. She giggles and turns back towards her plate. I watch her eat and can't help but think... I'm so fucking glad my drunken ass married this woman.

It's been three months since Kate walked into my life. Well, back into it I should say. The board unanimously agreed to hire her for the Dallas interior design job. They were shocked when they found out it was my wife, but happy that we had them choose blindly so as not to show favouritism. Kate was happy too, although a bit sceptical as to whether I was involved. I assured her I wasn't, that it was completely her and dad backed me up.

She flew to Dallas three days ago to meet with her team and I fucking miss her. I couldn't go with her, as much as I wanted to, but I fly out tonight in the hope of surprising her. Three days is too long to go without her. I know, I'm a needy little punk but if you had a wife that looked like Kate, you'd be needy too.

The flight from New York to Dallas is long, especially when I'm counting the seconds until I see Kate. A town car picks me up from our private plane and drives me to the hotel. I'm greeted on arrival at the hotel and handed the key to the penthouse. There's definitely perks to being the owner. The elevators slow as my heart beats wildly in anticipation of seeing Kate. After what feels like a thousand years, the elevator stops at the top floor and opens. I step out directly into the penthouse suite and take a quick look around my immediate surroundings for Kate, but she's not here.

I walk to the master suite with my bag and place it on the floor, hearing the shower running in the master bathroom. Smiling I slip off my jacket and shoes and walk towards the bathroom, removing the rest of my clothes as I go. This couldn't have gone better if I planned it.

As I walk through the bathroom door I see Kate's sexy silhouette through the frosted glass shower screen and am instantly hard. Even the outline of her is out of this world. I walk to the shower and open the door, stepping inside. Kate spins around in shock, a slight squeal leaving her throat before she sees it's me. She leaps into my arms as the squeal turns from fright to joy, her legs wrapping around my waist and arms around my neck. I grab onto her perfect ass to hold her in place as her lips crash on mine. Pushing her body up against the cold tile walls, I kiss her back with a hunger I've never felt before.

This woman is my everything, and three days without being able to touch her is an eternity. I push my hips into her warm centre, noting her sleek wetness as my cock slides against her folds. She moans into my mouth and in one thrust I enter her, groaning at how tight she feels around me, and how ready she always is for me.

“Oh fuck, Chase!” she moans. She pulls away from the kiss and grinds down on me as I continue to thrust hard into her.

“Fuck I missed you.” I groan. I attack her breasts with my mouth, leaving small bites against the swell and taking her nipple in my teeth. Her moans drive me wild and I feel her tighten around me, already reaching her climax in only a matter of minutes. I thrust harder into her, pushing her over the edge as she unravels in my arms, her nails scratching at my back as she screams my name for the heavens to hear. I don't stop, fucking her hard against the wall throughout her orgasm, until she comes down from her high only to be faced with another.

“Cum again baby, let me feel you.” I tell her. I'm so close to my own release but I hold it back, wanting to show her just how much I missed her. She falls apart again, and I go for broke, eliciting a third orgasm that appears more intense than the first two from her, before finding my own release inside her. I can't help but feel proud as she turns to jelly in my arms, her legs lose their grip around me and as she places her feet on the ground they don't have the strength to keep her up. I hold her tight, not letting her fall.

“I can't feel my legs...” she says breathlessly. I chuckle and kiss her swollen lips. She rests against me, still out of breath as I reach for the body wash and lather it in my hands. I run them all over her body, my cock twitching as she moans from my gentle caress.

“Mm so... I thought... you couldn't make it?” she asks. I smile down at my exhausted wife.

“I rearranged some things so I could work from here.” I tell her. She smiles up at me, her eyes sleepy and satisfied.

“Aww you missed me.” She teases.

“Shut up.” I snide. She giggles and slowly stands up properly, seemingly having found her legs again. Her lips find mine in a sweet kiss.

“I missed you too.” She says against my lips. I smile against her lips, kissing her harder and pulling her closer to me. We pull away when we are sufficiently starved of oxygen and finish our shower.

Stepping out of the shower I wrap Kate in a towel before drying off and wrapping my own towel around my waist. It's almost midnight so we go straight to bed, not bothering with clothes we snuggle up naked together. I love the feel of her bare skin against mine. I want to feel this every night. Not to mention the easy access. I roll to my side to look at her, her still damp hair splayed across the pillow, a content smile on her face. She takes my breath away. She turns her head to look at me, catching me staring.

“What?” she asks, a small smile on her face. The words come out of my mouth without filter.

“Marry me.” She furrows her brow, her eyes showing amusement.

“We're already married.” She laughs. I smile and move in closer to her.

“I know.... marry me again.” I say. I place a soft kiss on her nose and look into her baby blue eyes. “I'm asking, not because we're drunk or because of some will, but because I want to spend the rest of my life with you Kate. I want to give you your dream wedding and I want everyone to know that this is real...” I tell her. Her eyes well with tears and a small smile graces her swollen lips. Her hand comes around my neck and into my hair as she pulls me down, crashing my lips with hers. When we pull away, I rest my forehead on hers.

“Yes…” she says. Her voice is soft and I pull back to look into her eyes, my smile growing to epic proportions.

“Yeah?!” I say, my voice going up an octave. Her smile mirrors mine and she nods her head.

“Yeah…” she says. My lips crash back on hers, my heart going wild in my chest. She agreed to marry me! My wife is now my fiancé.
