Chapter 12: Morning

When I opened my eyes again I felt warm rays shining through the blinds as Xaviers arms were wrapped around me as I faced him. While studying his features, his pair of frosty blue eyes looked at me with admiration, now that I notice, his eyes didn’t seem as cold as it did when I first met him.

“Good morning Mio Congilio,” Xavier whispered as he kissed my nose. I replied with a soft nod and snuggled into his chest.

“So what are we doing today?”

“Whatever you want Stella, but I have a meeting with the alphas of the region before their departure today at 2. So I will let you and Heather have a girls day today, I know how much you love those.”

I gave him a smile and a kiss on the lips, “Yeah that sounds good, but i’ll miss you today. Remember to tell me when you’re done.”

“I will miss you too and I’ll let Daniel get the two of you once we are finished.”

“Okay, Xavier.”

As we got dressed, I decided to get dressed with a navy blue dress that went to my knees with a pair of white flats. Xavier matched with me with a white dress shirt and navy jeans.

As I went to dry my hair it was around 1 PM and Xavier came in with me. “I got it, you just relax,” Xavier said as he brushed out my hair and blow dried it.

“It’s a pity that you’re a king and not a hair stylist, you have some great service here,” I teased.

“I will only do this for my Queen,” Xavier replied with a grin.

“You better,” I said with a laugh.

As Xavier styled my hair into a bun, I did my makeup with some mascara and moisturizer. “How are you so good at hairstyles? My dad tried when I was younger but it looked terrible.”

“Well practice makes perfect when you had a little sister who nagged about the perfect hairstyle,” he replied.

I turned sharply to look at him, “You never told me you had a sister! What is her name?”

His eyes turned solemn as I asked about his younger sister, “Well her name was Ampherite, but she died in a fight when she was 13.”

“Oh… I’m sorry,” I stood up and pulled Xavier into a hug as he rested his head on the crook of my neck.

Sighing, he said,”It’s okay, at least you’re here now.”

By the time we got downstairs it was already 2:40, so I quickly made a cup of milk and coffee for Xavier while he made the waffles.

“So me and Heather will head out to the mall, did you want or need anything while I am there?”

“Just bring me a bottle of toothpaste and a new bottle of shaving cream,” Xavier said as he took our plates to wash.

“You got it,” I said as I handed him the cups.

As we headed out Xavier drove me to Heather and Daniels place, “remember that if you need me contact me by phone or our mind link.”

“I will don’t worry, your Queen won’t be bullied that easily and everyone here seems nice anyways.”

“Yes, but I just want you to know that I am here for you,” Xavier said with a little sigh. He looked a bit worried so I gave him a kiss to get his attention back to present. Things got a little out of hand when Xavier deepened the kiss, until we heard a knock on the car window.

“Hellloooo? Sorry to break it up but it’s 2:55 now and the guys need to get going,” Heather shouted at us.

Flustered, I turned and gave her my glare, but all I saw was her teasing expression that read, “Caught ya’ll.”
