Chapter 29 [Part 1]

Sienna’s pov

By the time we made it to the hotel in Majorca, it was really late and we decided to head to bed but I didn’t get much sleep. All I could think about was what had happened and how I could escape but most importantly, I thought about my handsome husband who I would never get to see again. I wonder what he is doing right now. He must have realised I am not home by now and must be going out of his mind looking for me. I wonder if he’ll ever think I am abroad or realise Dad is the one responsible for my disappearance. Or maybe he doesn’t know anything and thinks I have abandoned him. If that were true then I couldn’t bare it. He will hurt for a while but then he will move on without me.

In the morning, my eyes were teary and I couldn’t help the tears that fell out. I wasn’t happy. I wanted Jack. I wanted to go home but I couldn’t thanks to my deranged excuse of a father. I don’t know what he thinks will become of what he has done, it will only cause me hurt.

I had heard Dad snoring all night. I don’t know how he could sleep after kidnapping his own daughter. I couldn’t sleep but he slept peacefully all night with the room locked and the key with him. I did attempt to take it from him in the middle of the night but I was caught immediately. Dad is a light sleeper. Typical.

When I heard him waking up, I pretended to asleep but he saw right thorugh my act.

“I know you’re awake so you can stop pretending. I’m calling room service in a bit. What do you want?” Dad asked me.

I sighed. Food was the last thing on my mind.

“I’m not hungry,” I mumbled.

“You have to eat something, you haven’t eaten for a whole day,”

“But I said I’m not hungry,” I argued.

“No buts, you will eat something or else we won’t go sight seeing,” Dad warned me.

“We’re going sight seeing,” I sat up in bed. I thought I would be stuck in a hotel room for the foreseeable future. I didn’t expect Dad to let me go out.

“Yes, I was planning on us going sightseeing for the day. I don’t know about you but I don’t want to be stuck in this room forever,”

“Fine, I’ll eat. I’ll have eggs on toast,”

“That’s my girl,” Dad smiled before he went to the bathroom but he didn’t forget to take the room key with him.

When he returned, I took my turn in the bathroom. While I was there, I could hear Dad ordering breakfast on the phone.

When the breakfast arrived, it didn’t look very appetising. It didn’t taste very good either but I ate every last scrap because I was starving and if I didn’t then Dad would surely lock me in the room while he went sightseeing on his own. I don’t know if I could stand to be stuck in this room the whole day alone.

After the awful breakfast, we headed out. We didn’t end up going sightseeing at all, it was too hot to travel so we went to the beach opposite the hotel instead. We found a quiet spot on the sand in the shade and sat down to watch the waves. Surprisingly it was peaceful and made me forget about what was happening in my life for a little while.

After a few hours of peace, we headed back to the hotel room.

I skipped lunch but when it was time to eat dinner, Dad wouldn’t take no for an answer.

Dad decided to go out and get something to eat. I had to stay at the hotel while he went out.

“Don’t even think about escaping,” Dad warned me. “I will be back sooner than you think,”
