Chapter 5

Once we got home I got out of the car and walked into the house. I noticed a head of hair that I haven’t seen in a while sitting on the couch. I squealed which caused him to turn around and when he saw me he smiled and got up. I jumped up and hugged him.

“Wes!! It’s been awhile. How was the business trip?” I asked, still hugging him. Wes stands at 6’2” and weighs approximately 180 pounds. He has short messy black hair and dark brown eyes to the point that they are almost black. He wears basic clothes, jeans and a t-shirt and he has a well kept beard. He chuckles hugging me back.

“Yes it has, little one and the trip was good. I got what we needed for the next mission” he said, stepping back. I nodded my head with a smile. I was so happy to see him that i didn’t mind that he called me, little one.

“Well I better go to the kitchen to make some soup for Amethyst” I said walking away. When i walked into the kitchen Venes was already there.

“Hey V hows Am doing?” I asked, getting out all the ingredients to make the soup.

“She’s been better she’s laying in bed right now sleeping finally” Venes said sighing

“Don’t worry V she’ll be fine, in fact I’m making chicken noodle soup for her and so Jake doesn’t have to cook” I told Venes. She laughed

“Oh thank god Luna you’re a lifesaver i can’t stand his cooking” V said hugging me. At that point Jake came into the kitchen

“Hey my cooking isn’t that bad” he said offended. V and I just stared at him with a really look.

“Seriously Jake, Wes and Erik won’t eat your cooking and you know how much those two love food” I said while cutting up the ingredients to start cooking.

“Okay, maybe you’re right,” he said, hanging his head in defeat. V and I laughed. I shooed everyone out of the kitchen so I could cook. In no time I had all the ingredients in the pot and was letting it simmer before serving it. While it was simmering I sat at the breakfast nook and took out my homework. In no time I finished all my homework, god it was so easy. I was looking on my phone for a little bit before going to check the soup, once I checked it it was ready. I got bowls and spoons out. I called everyone to the kitchen to come get some soup. I made sure Amethyst got some food and ate, after she was finished eating she fell asleep. I kissed her forehead before heading to my room to go to sleep myself.

The next day, I was walking to my locker to put my things in and getting out what I needed before I headed to the cafeteria for lunch. Once I got there Heba had a smirk on her face from where she sat next to Van. I rolled my eyes and sat next to Britt with my food. After i sat down Heba got up from her seat and stood in the middle of the room. Everyone stopped what they were doing wondering what she was going to do.

“I have an announcement to make everyone!” She yelled, once everyone quilted down and focused on her she began again “our Luna here has a secret and that secret is that she has a kid with a guy who is much older than her!” Everyone started whispering while she looked at me like she got me but I just started laughing loudly.

“Jesus Heba, you’re dumber than I thought” I said between laughs. Everyone stopped whispering when i said that.

“What do you mean i saw you kiss that guys check and you helped that little girl n the car.” she shriked not liking that i called her dumb. I rolled my eyes

“That was Jake my dad’s business partner my dad asked him to pick me up and that little girl what Jakes daughter, i kissed his check cause i was teasing him about his cooking since i told Lolla that i would make soup for her sick sister Amethyst, if anything Jake is like a uncle to me” I said laughing and shaking my head.

“Way to jump to conclusions there Heba” Britt said with an eye roll. Heba got red in the face as everyone started laughing at her assumption.

“You know what they say about making assumptions it makes an ass out of you and me” I said laughing, she got even redder in the face before groaning and storming off, before she left the room she turned back and glared at me.

“This isn’t over Luna” She said walking out. After she left everything went back to normal.

“I’ve never seen her that red before” Kelly said. Everyone around nodded their heads in agreement.

“You’re something else Luna” Vander said with a smirk on his face. I could have sworn I’ve seen that smirk somewhere before, but I shook it off with me being paranoid. I shrugged my shoulders

“I’m not really, I just don’t let people walk all over me” I said with a smirk of my own.

“I can see that,” he said with a chuckle. I got a bad feeling from him. After that the bell rang and we all headed to class. Classes went by fast and before I knew it I was home and in the meeting room going over the plan for the next mission we needed to go on.
