"What do you think happens when all the stars die out?" He asked, staring at the sky with an unreadable expression on his face. I think for a minute wetting my lips before saying, "I think the world pauses for a minute before continuing to move just like it did before." Egypt Winters is a burnt-out star. She likes to live under the radar both at school and at home. At school, Egypt stays in the shadows to avoid contact with any of her classmates. Many of her classmates don't even know who she is. At home, she struggles to deal with her mom and her work at the same time while her dad is either working or passed out drunk. For a breath of fresh air, she takes late-night wanders outside to look at the stars. Until one late night walks lead her straight to a burning ball of gas. Jason Mathews is the golden boy of the school. Everyone in the school loves him and wants to be him. Yes, he's loved and praised by everyone, but do they know him? Does anybody care? To Jason, it's all just a blur of faces and meaningless conversations with people who only care about popularity. What happens when he meets someone who might care? Maybe they can help each other in ways they didn't know they needed. What happens when a late-night rag-tag group meets each other one night? Will the stars combine to form a galax. Or will they all die out?
