Chapter 1: Introduction
Beep..beep..beep..
I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. I hit the stop button and looked at the time to see that I only had an hour and a half to get to school. I started with my daily routine , quickly took a shower and brushed my teeth. For my outfit I decided to go with a white blouse and wide spread white and brown pants.
Since I was dressing up today I thought I might as well do my makeup and hair too. I went for a more natural look and for hair I decided to make my hair wavy. I looked in the mirror and am happy about how I look. I don't care what anyone says I look cute today. I glanced at the time and had to do a double take I only have 15 minutes to get to my class.
I practically ran down the stairs to the kitchen to grab something quick for breakfast. I see all of my brothers in the kitchen. I have four brothers Nickolas, Max, Alexander, and Bradford. All of them are around are the island.
"Lia, where are you off to in a hurry?" Max asked. Max is the youngest out of the four of my brothers. He loves to joke around and be the life of the party. He is really laid back and a has a relaxed personality. Max is 6' 2 has green eyes and has a muscular and healthy built and is a brunette. He is wearing a fitted white tee shirt and nude khaki pants.
"I only have 15 minutes before my class to start!" I can't believe I wasted so much time getting dressed.
"Why the Fuck did you take so long to get dress?!?" My second to older brother, Alexander asked. I could tell that he was starting to get really annoyed with the expression on his face. You see Alexander has a very quick temper, meaning any and everything can and will trigger it. Alexander also has green eyes but is 6'2 and has a sleeve of tattoos all over his left arm and has jet black hair. Each of his tattoos has a special meaning behind it. Alexander is wearing a navy blue tailored designer suit.
"You need to hurry up and leave now. Rosa make sure the driver is aware of Amelia now." Bradford my oldest brother said. When he spoke everyone always listened. Bradford is 5'10 has blueish green eyes, and is a brunette. He is also wearing a tailored suit but his was black.
I looked at Nickolas, the second youngest of my brother for sympathy. But he just gave me a knowing look. He also has blueish green eyes, is 6'0 and also has jet black hair. He is wearing a grey tailored suit. Nickolas can be very serious at times and is the most protective of me out of my brothers. Which is really saying something they barely let anyone come near me.
"The driver is ready, Ms. Xander," Rosa said. Rosa is the head maid of the household. She practically helped raise me when my brothers were away on business, which is quite often. Rosa was in her mid-fifties, Italian woman. She has the hazel brown eyes and long black hair with grey streaks running through.
I wave goodbye to my brothers and walk out the front door with my two security guards behind me. Since I was a little girl I had at least one or two bodyguards with me at all times. My brothers have security cameras and bodyguards all over our house. They truly are the definition of over protective brothers. My bodyguards- Michael and Ashton- and I get into the black SUV and start our way to my class.
I'm so happy! This is my last class before graduation then I can start my job at St. Francis Day School and be a preschool teacher. I already have the job lined up which is perfect. I thought as we arrived at my college. Michael and Ashton walk out and check the perimeter first then Ashton takes my hand and walks me out the car. As we are walking to my class I notice that people are whispering and looking at me. I am used to this but the stares and whispers still get to me. I glanced at Michael and he was looking straight ahead, I looked at Ashton and he looked at me and smirked then winked. I blushed and looked away. Ashton was a ladies man, while Michael was very serious and didn't show his emotions... Well, at least not in front of me.
I finished all of my classes for the day.
As we were walking towards our car I looked around at the other college students and I have to admit that I am a bit envious of them. Having bodyguards made it very someone did try and be my friend they were just using me to either get to my brothers or to get money. But on the bright side Rosa's daughter Teresa and I are quite close.
We arrived at home. Michael and Ashton checked the perimeter and escorted me inside.
"AMMY!" As soon as I walked into the I was greeted with Teresa screaming her nickname for me and giving me one of her bone crushing hugs. Teresa may be only 5'3 and weigh less than 120 pounds but she was a strong twenty-four year old.
"Uh Uh hiii.." That was all I could manage to say .
"Teresa! Let go of Amelia right now!" scolded Rosa from behind the kitchen counter.
I smiled at Rosa and put my bag down before going to my room with Teresa.
