chapter 30

Walking into the kitchen, amazing aromas coming from inside. The guys are making food, a mountain of food, and Lyn is helping as well. “Morning everyone.” I said moving behind John, wrapping my arms around his waist.

“Morning. Why don’t you head outside, we’re eating with everyone else before training starts.”

John said turning away from the stove, wrapping his arms around me. “What training?” “You’ll see. Now you and Lyn head out, and we’ll be there shortly. Go on.” Nodding I gave him a kiss, and we left the men alone, taking her small hand, making sure she has a tight grip. “You doing okay hon?” She nodded. “I love it here. It’s amazing.” Smiling down at her. “I’m glad. Oh there are Lilly, Sarah and Jack, and Blue.” There sitting next to group of vampires, listening to whatever story there telling.

“Morning everyone.” Looking around, every inch of ground is covered, tents, bags and bins, you name it; it’s in the yard. What are they planning on doing with all this? Not soon after that a bell rang, what the hell? Looking around, everyone is getting up and heading towards the front step. “Come on, it’s time to eat.” Nodding, a little confused as to what is currently happening, I followed everyone else.

They all started forming a huge line, but when someone saw me, they pulled Lyn and me to the front of the line. What is going on here?

“You two go first. Since your queen and princess.” What? What did he just say? I started to question it, but Lyn pulled me to the front of the line, handing me a plate of food.

Whispering down to her. “He just called us queen and princess. What was that about?” She shrugged. “I have no idea. But I’m not complaining, I’m starving.” “You’re always starving.” I said rolling my eyes at her.

My little sister, she’s always had the huge appetite; but she never gains any wait. They had her checked out when she was little, but there was nothing wrong with her. She’s just weird. Like me I guess.

Grabbing our food we found someplace to sit and eat. Looking at all the faces, I have no idea who most of them are, but if they are here to help us then that is good enough for me at the moment. “So what do you think is going to happen?” Lyn asked taking a bite of her food. I’m not sure what it is, but it’s not half bad. “I don’t know. But I do know one thing, you are not going to be in any kind of danger. I will make sure of it, even if I have to fly you out of here myself, to keep you safe. You will be safe.” She gave me a hug. “I love you sis.” “I love you too.” I said hugging her back. Someone cleared there throat. Looking up John and everyone is standing there, each holding a plate of their own. They sat around us, we ate talked and laughed. The way the air around us feels right now, you would never know that a battle for our survival is right around the corner.

After we finished eating and cleaned up John told us to wait for everyone at the front steps of the house. So here we are holding hands as everyone and I mean everyone gathers in around us. John and the others join us, John taking my other hand.

Raising his free hand, the crowd quieted down around us. Clearing this throat he said.

“Once again I would like to thank you all for coming to help against our common enemy. Starting in a few moments we will be starting our training.” “What do we need training for?” One unknown vampire hollered from the back of the group. John spoke up again. “These wolves are like nothing you have ever faced in the past. They are ruthless, and will stop at nothing to get what they want. So with the help of our friends the wolves, they will help us in defeating them. Show us there weak spots, where you can inflict the uttermost pain towards defeating them.” “When do we start?” Someone else in the crowd Hollard. “Right now.” With that everyone started to disperse around what once my yard. Everyone started grabbing different kinds of weapons, and the wolves started changing, this is going to be very interesting. Very, very interesting indeed.
