“Helen, wake up. You’re going to be late for work.” Kelly cried while shaking me.
“ummm...just one more minute.” I whimpered and changed the side on the sofa.
“Helen!“, she shot back.
“Okay.... okay, I’m up. See....“, I huffed while getting up.
“Oh...you have dark circles.“, she cried.
“what?“, I shot back.
“See!“, she said and pulled out her pocket mirror, for me to see my face.
“Oh! No! how I’m going to work when I look like this. Ugg... I look like a witch... I can’t show my face.“, I panicked and hid my face with my palms.
“Hey!....Hey! You got me... I can fix this. Remember, you have a beautician in the house.“, she said pointing towards herself.
“Thanks, Kelley. I wonder what would I do without you.” I pulled her in a bear hug.
“I know....“, I giggled.
“By the way, what made you so restless.“, She asked.
I tensed up a little but hell I have to tell her. I told her all the night incident between tears. She tried her best to soothe me down.
“You did the right thing. I think we should report this. Don’t you dare go to that place again, understand.“, she warned me.
“Kkk.... but I don’t want to report.“, I cried.
“Just stay from the place.“, she said.
“Good. Now, would you be okay by yourself? Or should I take the day off?“, she asked.
“No, don’t hold back because of me. I’ll be fine.“, I answered.
“Okay, call me, if you need anything.”
“I’ll get going then.”
She left and I was left alone to meditate. If think I was scared, I wasn’t. I had a strange feeling for that person. I couldn’t help feeling guilt and pity. Trying to get my mind off the thing, I decided to take a shower.
