Falling for a Stranger

Meeting the stranger again.

After showering for two hours, I felt hungry. I wrapped myself in a towel and walked towards the fridge. Normally, I don’t make breakfast. It’s Kelly who makes breakfast. I pulled bread and chocolate spread and a glass of milk. With both my hands full, I climbed onto the counter. Don’t ask! It’s my habit since a child. I love the feeling of warm milk with chocolate spread bread and cold counter.

What would it feel like having an encounter in here? An instant image popped up in my mind. He backed me up at the counter. A gasp left my mouth at the sudden coldness and a shiver ran through me as he paused to look at my naked form. He was barely naked, unlike me. I saw his slender form still it felt sexy. He grinned at me and untied his already loosened tie. Then, his shirt was going off of him. I didn’t know what came over me as I tucked his belt away. He pulled me in his arms, his mouth nibbling on my neck, and my arms drawing patterns on his back. I signed our names on his back. I don’t know how he understood it but he smiled at me. Our eyes met for a brief moment. A small smile tread on both of our faces. Our breaths merged just like we stood as one and perfectly close to each other. He claimed my mouth with his. Soft, sweet kisses turned into hot and passionate ones. I was no match for him and soon couldn’t keep up with him. I huffed in defeat and with the huff my mouth opened. He used this opportunity as an advantage and started exploring my mouth with his warm tongue...

I was so lost in my dreamland. The bell of the phone startled me. I jumped off the counter and grabbed my phone from the side table in my room. OMG! I forgot to call my boss and take sick leave. Will she fire me? I can’t afford to get fired at this moment. If I don’t pick the call I sure will get a scolding tomorrow. I gulped my fears and picked the call.

“Alicia! Are you coming to work or not? This, not a game.”

I faked a cough and deepening my voice I lied, “Ma’m, ...*cough*... I got a flue. I couldn’t....*cough*...get out of bed. ”

“Okay. You got the leave but I want the pending articles before midnight. And don’t forget to inform me ahead of time.”

“Yes. ...*cough. cough* ...ma’am”

With that, she cut off her phone. I sighed heavily and let out the air I was holding.

Great! You bumped in a total stranger. You misunderstood his intentions and escaped. You felt bad and cried your eyes out the whole night, Then, you started daydreaming about him. What is wrong with you, Alicia. Get a hold of yourself. You can’t just fell for a total stranger. He could be a kidnapper or a nasty young man. Stop defending him...Ugh. I have to get out of here.

I needed some groceries for dinner. So, I picked my car keys and went out of the apartment to the parking. I started the ignition and turned the radio on. ” Born to Be Wild” played on the radio. I started singing it along.

Get your motor runnin’

Head out on the highway

Lookin’ for adventure

And whatever comes our way

Yeah Darlin’ go make it happen

Take the world in a love embrace

Fire all of your guns at once

And explode into space I like smoke and lightning

Heavy metal thunder

Racin’ with the wind

And the feelin’ that I’m under

Yeah Darlin’ go make it happen

Take the world in a love embrace

Fire all of your guns at once

And explode into spaceLike a true nature’s child

We were born, born to be wild

We can climb so high

I never wanna die Born to be wild

Born to be will get your motor runnin’

Head out on the highway

Lookin’ for adventure...

Seconds later, I stopped before the grocers. I parked my car and make sure the doors were locked. I turned to see...

There stood the man I had seen last night. The man I was getting crazy about. The man I was falling for deeply. He was helping some customers to put his shopping bags in the car.

So, he worked over here. I have seen him for the first time in the light. His slender yet muscular figure seems so strong. His square, prominent jawline with high cheekbones. His hollow cheeks seemed as if he hadn’t eaten stomach full for a long time. He was wasted in figure yet he had some kind of power within him. Like he was determined to fight the battles of life. He was determined to smile in thick and thin.

Once our eyes met, I looked away hiding a smile and blush. I was embarrassed as he caught me checking him out. His face paled for a minute. He nodded and left to help other customers.

I had finally found him. It is the fate that made us bump into each other today. Should I go and apologize for my mistake and ask him if he needs my help. Should I go or just act as if I didn’t see him. Would he think my way to forward or some cheap girl if go cling to him now? I don’t know what to do?? Should I leave and trust fate?? Would I get another chance like this???
