Chapter 8-Closure-

Rayna's pov

After our meeting with the boys, me and the girls headed to my room to talk. I knew I had to get out of my chest all the thoughts I had about Ryer. They had started to cloud my mind and it was the last thing I needed right now.

My break up with Jake was still fresh, and I wasn't ready for another relationship yet. No matter how good looking Ryer was.

I'm not gonna lie and hide the fact, that I somehow was attracted to him. I mean he was my dream boyfriend. Silver eyes, platinum blond hair and tall as hell.

I mean who wouldn't be attracted to him?

Once again I was lost in my own thoughts, not paying attention to what the girls were talking about around me.

"What do you think Rayna?" I heard Quinn ask, breaking me from my trance.

"Huh? Sorry I wasn't paying attention. Mind asking that again?" Ι replied with slightly rose cheeks, which I regretted.

"Yeah, we can see that." Jen chuckled.

"We were just talking about the boys. Damon, Jason and Ryer." Alexa said.

God, I felt chills down my spine when I heard his name.

"So, what do you think about the boys? Do you find them attractive?" Quinn asked me with a smirk on her face.

"Guys, are you for real right now?" I asked surprised.

"What? It's just a question Rayna. No need to get defensive." Jen said.

"I'm not getting defensive!" I justified myself.

"Sure you're not." Alexa laughed.

"But seriously, tell us what you think about Ryer. Do you find him attractive?" Quinn asked.

"Well, I'm not gonna lie, he is somewhat attractive. But you know I'm not ready to dive in that department yet." I spoke honestly. Besides, I was honest. I wasn't ready yet.

"I can't blame you girl, all three of them are attractive." Jen replied.

"And we know this is hard for you babe. Jake really hurt you it's totally understandable if you're not ready. Just know that me and the girls are always here for you." Quinn said wrapping her arms around me.

"Thank you guys and sorry if I came out rude. I didn't mean to. It's just that the whole Jake and Millie thing still affects me." I said hugging her back.

"We totally get it Rayna. What they did was very low. Even for those two." Alexa said, disgust and anger lacing her voice at the mention of those two.

"Agreed. You need to payback them Rayna. I know it's been one month, but if you must know they personally think that they have won against you." Jen added.

"What do you mean won? Where did you hear about this?" I asked anger all over my face.

"He was talking with Millie about it on the bridge. I overheard them in the morning when I was coming back from my daily jog." Jen continued.

At this point I was fuming and I was this close to smash my bedroom.

"On the bridge? On my fucking bridge!?" I yelled terrifying the girls. It wasn't their fault and I knew it. But at this point I couldn't control my anger.

I know you must think that I'm being overdramatic and I don't blame you. But this place meant so much for me and everyone knew it, so they kept their distance. Plus, that was where I shared my first kiss with Jake.

I can't believe that he took that little bitch to my safe place.

The only place where I get the closure I need.

"How dare he take Millie there?! Especially since he out of all people know how much that place means for me." I said anger lacing my tone.

My rage had taken over me and I couldn't control it the way I wanted to.

"Jen are you serious right now? I swear to god I will kill that asshole." Quinn added to my words pissed off.

"I'm really sorry babe, but it's true." Jen said with an apologetic face.

They all then circled me and hugged me tightly.

I was about to cry but I refused to let the tears fall.

He was the last person to deserve my tears.

"Guys, I need to go." I told them escaping their embrace.

"Ray, where are you going? Let us come with you." Alexa shouted at me.

"I'm sorry guys, but this is something I have to deal with on my own." I said forcing them a smile.

"Ok babe, but where are you going?" Quinn asked me.

"To have a chat with my dear Millie and Jake. I don't think they quite understood my threat and promise I made them a month ago." I said bitterly.

"Fine. But promise us you will be careful and won't start punching or shooting anyone alright?" Alexa asked me cautiously.

They all knew about my skills in shooting, so I found it normal for them to worry.

"Relax girls. I promise you." I said, anger still evident in my voice but I gave them a smile.

Just as I was about to walk out of my room, I bumped into a hard chest. Looking up, I realized it was Ryer.

Great, he was the last thing I needed right now.

I was about to fall when he caught me with his arms.

"Woah, there! Are you okay Rayna? You seem in a rush." he asked worried while helping me stand up.

I don't know why, but I was blushing so hard for a reason and I didn't like it. Not right now.

"I'm fine, but I really need to go now. I'll see you later." I said a little rude before walking away, but he caught my wrist.

"Rayna is everything alright with you?" he asked me again, worry all over his face.

"Ryer, I said I'm fine now please let me go I have something to take care of." I said annoyance lacing my tone.

I didn't mean to be rude but I really had to get out of there and he was stalling me. So I just pushed him away forcefully, while making my way towards Jake's room.

I could hear Ryer from behind me asking the girls what happened, but thankfully they didn't go into too much detail. He doesn't have to know about my past yet.

When I reached Jake's room, I knocked a couple times hard on the door trying to keep myself calm, but eventually I punched hard until Jake decided to answer.

"R-Rayna, what are you doing here?" he asked rather nervously about seeing me.

Seeing him like that made me smirk.

I still had an effect on him even though we weren't talking at all.

"We need to talk Lockwood. May I come in?" I asked calmly.

I figured that I should play my cards right just like I did last time.

"Y-yes sure come in." he said and it was clear that he was nervous to see me.

"I'm not gonna punch or shoot you Jake relax. As much as I would love to, I made a promise to the girls. And I never break them." I said.

"So, what exactly do you want Rayna?" he asked with a little more confidence.

"I would really like to know about what were you conversing about with Millie on the bridge. And before you start acting clueless, Jen told me all about it." I said smirking.

"Something about winning against me was it?" I said feigning innocence.

"Rayna please let me explain. It wasn't what you think." he said fear hidden behind his eyes.

"That's what I'm here for Jake. I wanted to hear it from you. I wanna believe you have no reason to lie to me, right?" I asked him.

"Of course not." he said.

"Great. You may continue now." I replied.

"Listen Rayna. It was all Millie again. After she told me that you supposedly cheated, I was angry and I wanted to get back at you, which resulted in making out with her. She saw it like some twisted game, a competition against you I don't know. She was jealous of you Rayna and she wanted everything you had. So that's why Jen heard what she heard. That we ''won''." he finished.

I don't know why, but I wasn't phased at all. I knew Millie's standards were low, but I never expected this from her. Perhaps I should. After what happened a month ago, I was convinced that she was never my real friend and all she wanted was Jake.

I was hurt, indeed I was, but I had gotten used to it so I was fine by now.

"Rayna, please say something." Jake pleaded.

"I'm not gonna say anything Jake. You made your life choices and I made mine. Therefore, you can leave me alone and exit my life forever. Have fun with Millie. And before I forget, don't come crying when she breaks your heart." I said seriously giving him a death stare and walked away from him.

Leaving, I decided to head to my bridge.

It was my only safe place to land, and I really needed it right now.
