Fire and Ice

And I watched her click away in front of me. People swarmed about as we sat in silence. She was totally caught up in her work as I admired her. While she was beautiful in her own right, especially with her brow furrowed in that concerned way, she seemed cold and distant. It wasn't like that at all. In my short time with her, I'd caught glimpses of real emotions, and they stuck in my mind for eternity. They filled me with inspiration and warmth, those small flickers of feelings. Her smile created an inferno in my heart. Her eyes were my favorite color, that soft green. Oh, that green that pierced through my soul as she looked up at me from the computer, her head tilted in confusion. That moment took my breath away. I thought, in that exact second, that pure and innocent look was something I could fall in love with. She was someone I could fall in love with. Just her. Only her.
