Chapter 12 ~ extra [Part 2]
I feel bad now, I never meant to hurt my mate but I will make things right.
I walked upto their room and knocked on the door.
“Sage it’s me Jaime, can we talk?” I asked.
“One second, I’m coming out,” I heard Sage say. I heard movement and a few seconds later Sage came out the room and shut the door behind her.
“Why don’t we talk in my room,” I suggested, Sage nodded her head and we went to my room. I sat on my bed and patted the bed beside me for Sage to sit, she did.
“So what do you want to talk about?” Sage asked.
“I just wanted to apologise for yesterday. I shouldn’t have told you to leave like that, I didn’t mean to hurt you and I’m really sorry,” I apologised sincerely.
“It’s ok,” Sage accepted my apology.
“Really? You forgive me?” I asked happily.
“Yeah I forgive you,” Sage said with a smile.
“Thankyou,” I smiled too.
“Now that I’ve forgiven you, are you gonna tell me what’s going on?” Sage asked. I sighed before saying
“I think you already know,”
“Already know what?” Sage asked with confusion in her eyes.
“That we’re mates,” I admitted for the first time. I know I decided never to tell Sage and let her be happy with my brother but it isn’t right to keep this from her, she deserves to know something that concerns her to let her make her own decision.
“That’s impossible, Li is my mate not you. I can’t have two mates,” Sage said quickly.
“I know you only have one mate and that’s me,” I told her.
“No,” Sage disagreed.
“Li is my mate,” Sage told me.
“No he isn’t, I am your true mate,” I argued.
" Then why didn’t I feel any sparks last night when I touched your arm?” Sage asked.
“Because the Blood Witch did a spell so you wouldn’t feel our bond but when you touched me, I felt the sparks. I can feel our bond right now,”
“I can’t have two mates,” Sage refused to believe me.
“I told you I am your mate, your one and only mate,”
“That can’t be true, Li is my mate. I can feel sparks whenever we touch,”
“That’s because you mated with Li before meeting me which means you rejected me without knowing so your wolf thinks Li is your true mate but she is confused,”
“There’s no proof that we are true mates and even if we are mates, I can’t accept you as I love Li. I won’t leave him,” Sage said which hurt my heart.
“What about when Li finds his true mate? He will leave you,” I told her.
“He won’t, he loves me,” Sage said confidently and then there was silence.
“If you want proof, I can get you proof,” I said determinedly.
“How?” Sage asked.
“Come with me,” I held out my hand. Sage hestitated but then took my hand and we disappeared together to the Blood Witch’s house.
The Blood Witch knew we were coming and was in front of us in a second.
“What is it this time Jaime?” the Blood Witch asked in a bored tone of voice.
“Please tell Sage that me and her are mates,” I pleaded. The Blood Witch nodded her head before speaking to Sage.
“It is true. Jaime is your true mate. Li is not your mate, you are meant to be with Jaime,”
“But I love Li and he loves me,” Sage mumbled.
“That may be true but you are not true mates so it’s not worth it, what will you do when Li’s true mate turns up? Li will be drawn to her, he won’t be able to help it,” the Blood Witch said.
Sage didn’t say anything. She was still processing the fact that I was her true mate.
After a long silence, Sage spoke.
“I want to go home,”
I nodded my head and we disappeared and reappeared back home into my bedroom. Sage sat down on my bed and I copied her. We just sat there not saying anything.
“Please say something,” I finally said after 5 minutes.
“That doesn’t prove we are mates, for all I know you could have bribed the Blood Witch to say that to me,” Sage replied.
“I didn’t, I swear and I can prove we’re mates,” I said. I thought that now was the time for Sage to feel our bond. I put my hand in hers and I know she could feel our bond. I could feel sparks everywhere.
“This is not possible,” Sage said as she was obviously feeling the sparks too.
“It is possible, we are mates,”
“I don’t understand,” Sage whined.
“I know it’s confusing but we are really mates so just accept me,” I pleaded.
“No,” Sage replied.
“I’m sorry, I can’t. I’m so sorry,” Sage was almost in tears, she stood up and disappeared into thin air leaving me heartbroken.
