Chapter 8 [Part 1]
Li’s pov
Later that evening, I was just staring in to my beautiful mate’s eyes while she blushed. I’m so happy Sage’s not under 18 so I can marry her right away. Then I remembered something.
“Sage,” I said.
“Yeah,” Sage replied.
“I have something for you,” I took out a small box from my pocket and opened it. Inside was a thin ring, well........... Two thin rings. One was plain silver and the other was the same with diamonds, I hope Sage likes them.
“Do you like them?” I asked nervously.
“Yeah they are beautiful,” Sage replied as she admired the two rings.
“Not as beautiful as you,” I disagreed and Sage blushed.
“I want to do this properly,” I decided which confused Sage. I got off the couch and bent down on one knee, then Sage realised what I was gonna say next.
“Sage will you marry me?” I asked the most important question I would ever need to ask in my entire existence.
“Yes,” Sage replied softly. I got up and sat back on the couch next to Sage. I took out the plain ring and put it on her finger then did the same with the diamond covered one.
“Thanks, you don’t know how much this means to me,” I smiled happily.
“Where’s your ring?” Sage asked. I took out another box and inside was a plain thin ring identical to the one my mate had. I gave the box to Sage, she took out the ring and placed it on my finger.
“Now there’s only one thing left to do,” I said.
“What’s that?” Sage asked.
“Go shopping which we’ll do tomorrow. Why don’t you call your friend to come with us,” I suggested.
“Ok I will,” Sage agreed as she took her phone out of her pocket and called her friend as I called mine.
“Mate?” I said with a blush.
“What?” Sage asked upon seeing my blush.
“Can I have your number,” I blushed further.
“Yeah,” Sage said then I gave her my phone and she put in her number. Then I took her phone and put in my number.
“Well........ It’s been a long day, we should sleep now,” I said with a yawn and with that we headed up stairs.
Sage didn’t hesitate tonight, we both got into our bed. I guess she realised that I wasn’t going to sleep without her, after what happened last night.
