Taken at the speed of Love

Chapter 1: Danny's Harsh Love:-

Danny is a 15-year-old teenage boy, with strong feelings towards his boyfriend. They have been going out with each other for about 2 months now. Danny really and truly loves his boyfriend more than anything in the world, being with him to Danny seemed almost magical. There was just one thing wrong. They have a problem. Rhys (Danny's boyfriend) just doesn't know how he actually feels towards Danny. However Rhys does feel towards him, and wants to build on it. They spoke often over the internet using Facebook. But Danny asks himself one question... Is this really enough ?

Danny just wants someone who is always there to hug and kiss. Danny doesn't really like speaking to him over Facebook. It's just not enough. It isn't the first problem to come up in the relationship, with short time of being together you don't expect this. Just as Danny thought they had sorted that problem out though Rhys brings it up again and Danny feels speechless. This time the problems drags on for over a week.

Danny starts to get extremely depressed, he feels like he is riding the roller costar from hell. Saintin sitting right next to him laughing. This roller coaster from hell is only half built so is falling apart behind them. Just when it pulls in to get out, the bars don't quite open ... looks like Danny's going for round 2 on this wicked roller coaster. This time they are riding much faster but just going and going. No stops, round after round.

The depression of the relationship just keeps building up. Danny seem's to be finding himself cutting his arm's every night with a serrated knife. Hacking away at his own arms with an angry face, just isn't working for him anymore. Danny breaks down with a river of tears flowing out of his eye's. Can't stop. He is in the corner of his bathroom, behind the door - with his knees tucked into his bleeding arms. Sitting there... sobbing for about 3 hours, none stop. Nobody he can speak to.

Danny finally stands up, slaps him self across the cheek as hard as possible. "Your stronger than this, you bastard!" he screams at himself. "Get a hold of your self, be strong, get out there and fight the world like there is no tomorrow!" he carry's on. So Danny walks over to the sink and washes his face gently in cold water. As the cold water rushes down his face he begins to calm down a little. He strolled down the stairs, with a big smile on his face and gently placed himself onto the sofa in the front room. His mum was watching a film on the t.v.

Danny feels like he is locked in a box away from the rest of the world. The only thing stopping him from giving up,is knowing that if he keeps fighting then he will break the box open to find a happy life on the other side. However sometimes Danny doubts he can do it on his anymore. He needs help but feels he has to do this alone.

Every night that passes he finds it more and more difficult. His sleeping patterns go downhill, he cries himself to sleep late at night. With a lack of sleep every night his stress starts to feel worse than it has to. He needs to keep fighting for that happy life. The life with rainbows and flowers. The life where there is no more problems with his boyfriend.

One of the problems in the relationship was the amount of homophobic comments they got. You would expect people to be more understanding. After all it is the 21st century, it shouldn't be how it was years ago when people who were classed as "Different" were therefor un excepted in the community.

They sure are in love, however they just need to sort their problems out or the relationship will just crumble. They will fall apart, and neither of them want this.

The thing they both want more than anything is a very happy relationship with no problems what so ever. How ever at this rate it just isn't looking like it will happen, But they have to keep trying their very best as for all they know the light could just be right around the corner. The light of freedom and happiness, the light when they have no problems again. The light that will change their lives.

There was a time when they had no problems, a time when everything ran smoothly. This time was the best of times they had at the beginning of the relationship. Since then they both feel like they are being dragged through a tunnel of doom, surrounded by fire and smoke. Feeling they have been dropped down a whole which doesn't seem to have a bottom. Both wanting to scream at the top of their voices but just can't get the breath to do so.

The whole is getting more and more scary for them, almost like there is a small landing area surrounded by lava. If they land safely they get a lift to the light of happiness, however if they land into the scorching hot lava, they will never see the light again. They will be dead and the relationship no more. However if this does happen then at least the relationship died with them trying to fix it.

Alex Rushmer: Chapter One: Not much is happening in this chapter, but I was absolutely fascinated by the depth of your character development. Stephen Warner: To start off, I am thoroughly impressed. The writing style is somewhat unique, and the plot seemed to move at a nice and steady pace. Jennifer Kane Martin: I am a high school teacher, and the dialogue and inner thoughts are PERFECT. However, the lack of capitalization, punctuation, and the typos are distracting. Don't let these get in the way of a potentially good story.
