6. Awestricken would be an understatement

Oh my word, what was taking so long? I stood on the stairs at the entrance of the school waiting for Issac to get here so he could drive me... us, to my home or his place so we could discuss our crazy day.

I was so on edge about what Rick asked me, but I was far more surprised that I formed words enough to agree and say yes to him. It was a crazy proposal and it's the first I ever got ever from anyone... especially a guy like Rick.

So you might've guessed that I've never been on a date before, and well, your assumptions are a hundred percent right. So my question now is, what the heck am I going to do?

I tapped my foot impatiently as I waited for Issac.

"Oh my God, where is he?" I asked in an annoyed air as I looked at my Hulk watch. I turned back when I heard the doors opening to see Issac walking out with Mike and his twin brother Jeremy who was equally as attractive as his brother, but maybe it was because they were identical.

Anyways my jaw greeted the ground at the sight before me. Issac was hand in hand with the buff jock and his brother was all smiles as the three of them walked down the stairs and stopped before me. Issac released Mike's hand and walks over to me with a sheepish smile plastered to his cute face. I tried to not look amazed because geez he already kissed the guy, but to see all THIS going on still had me in awe. And I was clearly still in awe because Issac had to push my jaw up because it had somehow fallen back down again. Hey, my mouth couldn't help it, it was in shock too.

"Cyndi, if you keep acting like that then people will start asking questions... namely Mike." he whispered. I shook myself out of it and looked up at him.

"Sorry, umm I... I just didn't expect you to be so cozy with his brother already!" I whisper-yell at him as I check to make sure that the twins weren't looking our way, but instead they were chatting amongst themselves.

"He likes my quirky ways, who knew that could hook him in, huh? Anyways, I'm okay. Now, how are you? When I turned back to look for you I saw that you were kidnapped by the dark prince himself. Now what happened?"

My cheeks reddened and my eyes widened in surprise as I brought my hand up to nibble at my finger nails. "Stop that." Issac said as he smacked my hand away from my mouth. "Now tell me, why are you all nervy nervous all of a sudden?"

"Umm..."

"Don't let me force it out of you Cyn, because I can." his threat was true because he was glowering at me in all seriousness.

"Okay, well... Rick might have asked me to go out on a date with him..." I paused to see if he was still serious then continued once I saw that he wasn't giving up his tough guy act, "and I might have said that I'd think about it." I whispered. I covered my face with my hands as I turned red like the red power ranger. This was so crazy I didn't even know how to react to this and it involved me, and I think that's what scared me the most.

"Oh my gosh Cyndi Fenton, why would you say that, he'd think that you were uninterested!" he scowled. I shrank under him and bit the inside of my mouth.

"I, I didn't mean to... I, I—I didn't know what to even do, I couldn't even function. I mean imagine hotness overload and my protective shell rising to protect him from my crazed reply... and, I had no other choice. It was either that or I run away screaming like someone being chased by a wild animal and yes, the killer kind! Help" I squeaked myhands all crazy in the air like some mad person let out of 'the box'.

"Okay, okay! Cyn chill!" he clasped his hands down on my shoulder and made me look him in the eyes. "Just breathe before you begin feeling faint. Do you have your inhaler?" I nodded and I tried to keep eye contact with him. "Okay, so he asked you out right?" I then again responded with a nod. He nodded too then slowly eased up his hold on my shoulders. "Okay, can you use words for me?" I shook my head, my head feeling faint suddenly. "Okay Cyn, Cinnabon, look at me and try not to shake your head. Blink once for no, twice for yes. Now did he ask you anything else?"

One blink.

"Did you say something without meaning to?"

Two blinks.

"Ha, what was it? Was it something bad?"

One blink.

"Something good?"

Two blinks.

"About the date, did he ask you after you spoke?"

Two blinks.

"Were you scared?" a pause, I was and I wasn't, how the living fudge do I answer that with eye blinks. I groaned and finally found enough mental stability to use my words. "No... and yes."

"Which is it?"

"It was both."

"Why were you scared?" he asked standing straight.

"It was the prince of freaking death! The one you call the dark prince for crying out loud!" I whisper-yelled, as I tried to think straight, "I was... I don't know. I was surprised I just. I was scared because it's a date Issac! I don't know how to do a date." I spat the word like it was alien to me.

He didn't seemed fazed and hummed to himself. "True, but I do know the first thing. You're lucky that I've been on a few dates."

A hesitant smile came to my lips as I groaned and ran a hand back over my hair. "I'm nervous." Issac sighed then came forward and hugged me to his chest. I hugged him back, burying my face against his hoodie.

"It's gonna be fine Cyndi. I'm going to make sure you have a great date, promise." he kissed the top of my head as he pulled back to smile at me. "Let me take you home."

"B—but what about you and Mike?"

"That's not as important as my best friend's first date." he said tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear.

"But you've wanted this since forever."

"True, but you come first, before any boy."

I smiled up at him, he really is the greatest friend in the world. "Thank you spice."

"No prob sugar." I giggled at our silly nicknames for each other and glanced over to Mike and Jeremy. "Hey, so how are twiddle-sexy and twiddle-hot over yonder?" Issac snickered at the names I gave them and spared a glimpse over his shoulder.

"Which is which?" they asked in unison.

"Mike is hot, Jeremy is sexy." I replied. I don't know where my shyness ran off to, but it could stay there for awhile.

"Hey, don't diss my twin like that." Jeremy chuckled.

I grinned, then looked back on Issac. "What are you gonna do about them?" Issac shrugged then sighed.

"I guess I'm gonna have to tell them to take a rain check?"

"What were you going to do?" I asked.

"I was going to go with them to their house after dropping you home, but you need me more than Mike does." I batted my lashes at him and he rolled his eyes playfully. Issac took my hand and walked back over to the twins. "Hey boys."

"Hey, are you coming or does your friend have a problem with it?" Jeremy asked, folding his arms over his board chest as he looked down at me.

"No, she doesn't have a problem with it, but she does have a problem that I need to help her with."

"What kind of problem?" they asked in unison again.

"Wow."

"That's the reason why we don't hang out together." Mike said being comical. "So what's her problem?"

"Does it have to do with a boy?" Jeremy asked as he smiled at me, my cheeks turned bright red and I shied away behind Issac, hearing him chuckle slightly.

"Yes, it does pertain to a certain boy. he asked her out."

"It isn't the gothic kid with all those crazy tattoo, is it?" Jeremy was apparently the smarter of the two.

"Yes, it is. Now, I have to go help her straighten out herself, so Mike we need to reschedule our little date." Mike sighed, but didn't look too disappointed and I think Issac felt a little burn in his chest about it.

"So, need any help?" his offer had both Issac and I looking up in disbelief at him.

"Umm, how?" was all I asked as I tried not to make eye contact.

"We're boys, we know how boys think." Jeremy said, trying to convince her.

"I don't think you think like Rick." Issac said repelling the idea.

"Agreed, he's simply not like other boys or anyone for the matter." Jeremy interjected.

"Either way, we're helping." Mike said as they smiled.

Issac and I shared a glimpse and then nodded reluctantly and turned on our heels to Issac's car. This is going to be beyond mega crazed.
