Chapter 12- She's a warrior

I was able to trick my mom into thinking that I was having a sleepover with Gracie.

“Gracie? That isn’t a name I’ve heard in awhile. Okay Sweetie just make sure you pack your meds.”

I nodded and told her I would. I threw together a bag and kissed her goodbye. Waiting at the corner was Jax.

“So your mom believed you?”

“Yeah, but I feel bad for lying.”

We raced back to Howl Cliffs Manor. Waiting for us was Rider, Reed was nowhere to be seen.

" Your sister came over as soon as she heard that you found your mate.” He told Jax.

“Oh god, she’s going to steal Mercy. Isn’t she?” Jax groaned out.

“You bet your ass I am.” A feminime voice called out behind us. She was about a couple inches taller than me. Her hair was ebony black. She didn’t have Jax’s eyes, her’s were blue.

“Hi I’m Lulu, Jax’s younger sister.” She smiled at me and gave me a hug. “And I’m kidnapping you for the night.”

I looked at Jax for help, he shrugged his shoulders. “Best to do what she says. I’ll rescue you before bedtime.”

With that Lulu dragged me to her room. She went through the kitchen to grab snacks. We arrived at a sunny yellow door. She pushed it open and flipped a switch. The inside of the room looked like a normal teenage girl room. It didn’t scream a werewolf lives here. She plopped down on a beanbag and motioned for me to do the same.

“I heard what happened. You seem to be taking this in stride.” She popped a couple cheese puffs in her mouth.

“Well when you see hardcore evidence. It’s kinda hard to deny the facts.” She offers the cheese puff bag to me. I took a couple to be polite.

“I would imagine. I’m glad my brother found you. He needs a no nonsense girl to straighten him up. He’s been a loose cannon for the last hundred years.” She rolled her eyes.

“What do you mean last hundred years? Are you saying he’s immortal?”

“Well not immortal we just age really slow. They didn’t tell you this?” I shook my head.

“Well shit, I’m sorry you had to get the information from me.”

“Hold old is he?” I was genuinely curious.

“I’m not saying ask him yourself.”

“Okay, then how old are you?”

“It’s rude to ask a lady about her age.” Then she burps. We both giggle.

“I’m 98, but I look 17.”

“Wow, you look good for dirt.” I said jokingly.

Lulu throws a pillow at my head.

It’s so on

I hit her in the head with one. We ended up in a huge pillow fight. We flopped onto the bean bags giggling.

“I think we’re going to be great friends. I don’t have any girl friends. They just use me to get to my brother,” she rolls her eyes. “ All they want in the Luna title.”

“I thought your dad was the Alpha?”

“Yeah but Jax is taking over after he graduates for the millionth time.” Lulu picks at one of the pillow threads.

We chit chat for another hour before Lulu tilts her head.

“My brother is coming, you better go meet him.”

I waved goodbye and went out to the hallway. Jax was waiting for me.

“Hey Kitten, you have fun with my sister?”

“Yeah, I think we’re friends now.” I bounced on my feet. I needed to go outside and burn off some energy. “Do you have a gym?”

“Yeah we do Kitten. Why wanna see me shirtless?” He wiggles his eyebrows at me.

“No, I wanted to spar and you seem like the perfect person to do it with.”

“My Kitten wants to fight? Then a fight she will have.”

Jax led me to one of the other buildings. There weren’t any lights so we used the stars and the moon to lead the way.

“This will be the training building for all the warriors. Do you need a change of clothes?”

“No what I got on is fine.”

Jax nodded and told me to get to the mats while he got gloves for us. While I was waiting for him I took my shirt off and started stretching. I was about to do some leg stretches when Jax got back.

“God Kitten! What are you wearing?”

“A sports bra and leggings. What’s the problem? I didn’t want to get you blood on my shirt.” I rolled my eyes, he was being way too dramatic. “I’ll put my shirt on if i-”

“No it’s fine.” Jax says quickly. He hands me the other pair of gloves.

“Here’s the rules. First one to pin the other wins.”

Jax nods and lunges at me. I step aside and he grasps air. I wasn’t going to make this easy. I jabbed at his side and got a good punch in. He smiled and tried to swipe my legs underneath me. I went in for another hit and he grabbed my arm. He pulled me towards him.

“My Kitten is a warrior isn’t she.” He whispered into my ear. It sent shivers down my spine.

Win first then you can give into your hormones.

I stomped on his foot and head butted him. He growled and went to go punch my stomach. I blocked and went on the offense. I was winning till he knocked me off my feet and pinned me to the ground.

“I win Kitten.”

Over my dead buddy

I kissed him, using that as a distraction. I flipped us over when he was least expecting it.

“I win,” I whispered in his ears.

“That’s my Kitten,” he groaned. Jax took me off his lap.

“Lets go clean up.” He held out his hand and I took it.
