Chapter 19

Jayne woke in Gabriel’s arms, loving the way their body’s fit so perfectly together.

Trying to put off their separation as long as possible, she snuggled closer to his chest letting her fingers trail feather light paths across his chest and arm.

Without realizing he was awake, she found herself pinned beneath him.

“Good morning,” she moaned as Gabriel buried his face into her neck.

Feeling his his throbbing hardness against her thigh, Jayne felt her sex begin to moisten as she opened her legs to grant him access.

Feeling his tip brush against her folds, she suddenly remembered their coupling in front of the fireplace the night before.

“Protection,” she whimpered, moving her hips away from his.

Groaning, he rolled to the side and fumbled in his night stand pulling out his last condom.

Seeing how much trouble he was having, Jayne pushed herself up on her knees and pushed Gabriel’s shaking hands away, taking over.

Taking her time, she enjoyed the frustrated grunts and groans as she let her fingers slide the latex sheath down his length with excruciating slowness and deliberation.

Finally willing to give him what he wanted, Jayne swung her leg over his hips and straddled him, slowly letting him slide inside her.

Reaching up, Gabriel gripped her hips painfully setting a punishing rhythm to pay her back for teasing him.

“Gabriel,” she gasped, her hands roaming over her body, pinching her nipples tantalizingly.

Growling, Gabriel sat up and captured one of her erect nipples in his mouth.

Again and again he switched breast, unable to get enough of her delicious flesh.

Wanting to take back control, Jayne reached down and pried his hands from her hips and forced him back onto the mattress, his arms pinned next to his head.

“My game,” Jayne purred, using the leverage her position provided to ride Gabriel harder.

Changing the angle of her hips, she soon felt the tip of his shaft ramming into the opening of her womb.

Before she knew it, she was seeing stars burst in her vision. She’d never felt any man fill her so deeply.

Screaming his name, Jayne felt herself orgasm so hard and so long, she was still riding the waves of climax as she rode Gabriel to his own release.

Collapsing onto his chest, she felt his arms wrap around her body, holding her close as she panted through the last of the waves that washed over her.

Clinging to Jayne’s sleeping body tightly, Gabriel brushed his fingers through her hair.

‘Stay with me,’ he thought, wishing, not of the first time, that he could mind-link with her, but he knew that would never be possible since she was not of his pack.

He could mark her, take her as his mate, but he didn’t know if she would welcome being tied to a cripple like himself.

“Gabriel,” she breathed, lifting her head to look at him, “do you think you have a mate somewhere out there?

“Like they used to tell us about in school?” she asked. “Some one the Goddess made us for?”

Using the tips of his fingers, he brushed a lock of hair out of Jayne’s face. Had she heard what he’d been thinking?

“I always dreamed of finding my mate when I was a little girl,” she breathed, not waiting for an answer, “but after my sixteenth birthday my mom told me that without a wolf I’d never have one.

“It used to make me so sad,” she sighed, turning her head to rest her cheek against his chest again, “but now it doesn’t seem to matter to me as much anymore.

“I think living in the human world for that last couple of years has made me think more like one of them,” she continued, staring off into nothingness.

Tapping her shoulder, Gabriel waited for her to look at him before capturing her lips with his.

Rolling her over, he looked down at her, his eyes caressing every inch of her.

Using the tip of his finger, he began tracing letters on her bare stomach.

‘S.T.A.Y?’ he wrote, hoping she would understand.

“Stay?” she asked him. “You want me to stay here? With you?”

Nodding, his eyes begged her to stay with him.

“What about my research?” she asked.

‘M.O.V.E. H.E.R.E.,’ he scribbled.

Pushing herself off the bed, she quickly pulled on one of Gabriel’s too large shirts to cover her naked body.

“Is this because I was talking about mates?” Jayne asked, feeling heat rising to her cheeks.

"I wasn't trying to push you into asking me," she breathed, her body shaking, feeling like an idiot.

"Just forget I said anything," she breathed, turning on her toes, picking up her discarded clothes from the floor. "I'm so fucking stupid."

Scooting off the bed to pull her back into his arms, Gabriel shook his head. Cupping her cheeks, he pressed his lips to hers again and again until she she returned his kisses.

Whimpering, Jayne wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer.

"I'm afraid," she breathed, burying her face into his neck. "I haven't let my guard down in years, but you seen to push through them like tissue paper."

Looking down into Jayne's beautiful tear rimmed grey eyes, Gabriel knew how she felt.

She'd had the same effect on him as well. It had been so long since he'd let anyone in, he was scared too, but he was willing to risk the pain if it gave him one more day with Jayne.

Pulling her with him, Gabriel drew her to his nightstand where his notepad rested.

'I want you to stay here with me,' he wrote, his hand shaking with urgency. 'We can move your things.'

"Are you sure?" Jayne asked, looking deeply into his eyes.

'Yes,' he wrote. 'Though, if you agree, we need to take a trip to town.'

"Do we need supplies?" she asked.

'We used the last condom this morning,' he wrote, offering her the note with a smirk.

"Oh," Jayne breathed, he face reddening again.
