Preface
I came up with the idea of this story about three years ago. I didn't feel like developing the plot so put it on the backburner until last July when I decided I would try and write it for CampNaNoWriMo. Honestly, I never wrote a story more smoothly, it just flowed from my finger tips and onto the keyboard. Everything, from the setting, to the scenes and characters just came to life without much work on my part. I had no trouble completing it in 31 days and validated 63,000 words with pride.
Of course it was a very, very rough draft and it took a lot of cleaning up, but strangely enough, the editing was almost as fun as the writing itself (which is a lot coming from me). As I moved on to other works, I sort of forgot about it, but recently I was organizing my computer and deleting all the junk (and man did I have a lot of it) and it resurfaced and I decided to share it on wattpad. I couldn't put it up immediatly, because I was busy posting other works. But I thought for now, while many of my readers are waiting for me to finish editing Roses of Red, I'd share this one, seeing as I edited it ages ago.
I want to remind my readers that writing is a hobby for me because right now I'm focusing most of my time to art. I've got one and a half years of uni left, so for now I can't boast of being that great of a writer. I try my best to keep my writing mistake free and grammatically correct, but there are loopholes and slips and I apologize for them. If you see them, you can point them out and I'll correct them. I generally don't get offended when people point out mistakes, as long as they are nice in going about it.
I'd like to thanks my sister, De (@barabasha) for being a never ending support while I was writing this. She would listen to me reading it outloud and gave encouragment and made me want to hurry up and finish the story.
For a person who has grown up with cold and snow, it was hard for me to fathom a place where it is hot 90% of the time and also I'd like to thank ramagut for helping me understand what Arizona weather is like.
I hope you will enjoy this story. It's not one of those super long novels with hundreds of chapters, I'm afraid I'm not very good at writing super long stories. It is of course a love story, but I've added other stuff to it in hopes of making it more interesting.
Many thanks to all who will take time to read it,
Vlada Mari.
