It had been a week since we had made up. My wolf was irritated with me that we had messed things up. I don't think he liked it when she was mad at us. I'm pretty sure he was a little terrified of the angry Adara, I knew I was.

"Hey!" Adara smiled as she walked into the pack kitchen with a box of paint samples. "Do you have a preference for color? Because if you let me loose in here you might regret it."

I laughed, "As long as it isn't pink or something."

"Well dang, that takes away half of my color choices," she teased, setting the box down on the counter. "I'm thinking a light gray for the walls down here. It's a fairly neutral color and will bring in a lot of light."

I shrugged, "Gray it is then."

"Also, I was thinking neon green for the meeting hall!" she said with a chuckle.

I stood up from the island and walked to her, wrapping my arms around her waist, "Whatever you want."

"And bright orange for the offices."

"If that's what you think will look best." I replied, placing a kiss on her neck.

She looked up at me, her bright eyes narrowed,"You're not very helpful."

"I'm super helpful," I replied, kissing her again.

She leaned in to me and kissed my cheek before pushing away, "Okay, stop flirting with me and go paint something."

"Yes ma'am," I replied with a smirk.

"Hey Ryder?"

I turned back with a smile, "Hmm?"

"If you wanted to come back and flirt with me some more later, I wouldn't be opposed to it." She gave me a wink and walked off to the meeting hall with her box of paint.

I took a deep breath and walked to the buckets of paint sitting in the corner. I finished the common area rather quickly and made my way to the meeting hall. I walked in to find the walls painted a rich, smoky blue color.

Adara turned around, reaching her arms up as she spun around the room, "What do you think?"

I looked around before resting my eyes on her. I smiled noticing the smudges of paint on her cheek and hands. "I like it a lot."

She looked up at the walls, "Me too." Adara clapped her hands together and walked toward me, "Did you finish in the common area?"

"Yep, all done. I came back to flirt with you as requested," I replied before giving her a peck on the cheek.

Adara laughed, "Alright, Casanova. Help me put all of this in the shed."

We walked outside to the side of the house where the maintenance shed was. We stored all of the paint and supplies before walking down the hill. We stopped in the open field that had once been used as the warrior's training grounds and looked back up at the house. We had worked nonstop on this place for two weeks and it was finally coming together.

"It feels like a home now,” Adara smiled as she looked up at the pack house.

"Yeah, it does,” I replied, proud of our home.

The pack house looked new. We had fixed up the siding and the large, three story mansion was painted in a dark gray color, with white trim around the windows. It looked grand but welcoming.

Suddenly we felt little drops falling down around us. Adara raised her hand up, catching little drops on her palm. "Looks like rain,” she said with a smile.

"We should head back up," I said as the rain became heavier. Within a minute it was pouring. We ran back to the house, Adara and I hollering as we sprinted inside.

I wiped the water off my face and Adara ran a hand through her long hair, laughing as we looked out the open door at the downpour.

I turned to Adara, seeing her drenched shirt sticking to her body, showing every curve. I removed my dripping shirt and ruffled my hair in it to get out the excess water, still keeping my eyes on Adara as she squeezed the water from her hair. She was looking outside, oblivious to my gaze. I stepped toward her, cupping her face in my hands as I crushed my lips to hers. She wrapped her arms around my neck, meeting my fire with her own. Her hands moved across my chest, sending goosebumps down my arms. My hands roamed her body before removing her soaked-through shirt and tossing it to the ground. I cupped her breasts in my hands, angry at the thin fabric keeping her from me. I pulled her close to me as my hands ran down her back, resting just under her thighs. I pushed up, lifting her to me, her legs wrapping around my waist as I carried her toward the stairs. I carried her up the stairs, trying to keep my head straight as I tried not to fall and kill us as she kissed and sucked on my neck. When we reached the top of the stairs her lips found mine again, our tongues dancing and tasting each other. When we finally made it into our room I growled in desire as I set her down on the bed, pulling off her leggings as she unbuttoned my jeans. I shrugged out of them before climbing above her, my mouth exploring her body as I kissed my way up. When our mouths met again she kissed me with a fire, telling me she had wanted me for as long as I had wanted her.

"Ryder…” she whispered as I kissed my way back down her body, sucking on her slit and making her back arch at the sensation.

I took each breast into my mouth, gently sucking before taking in a sharp inhale when her hand reached down, rubbing my length. I moved up, kissing her soft lips again as I teased her with my tip, her hips grinding against me in anticipation.

I moved slowly and gently, letting her adjust before quickening the pace, the pressure slowly building. My lips left hers, traveling down to the spot on her shoulder, just above the collarbone. She moaned as her pleasure spilled over. That was all it took for me, my own pleasure releasing. I bit down on her shoulder, making her tense at the sharp pain before relaxing as it was replaced with warmth.

We laid together for a long time, listening to the rain pour down hard on the roof. I smiled as I held Adara in my arms, knowing she was now completely mine. I looked down at her, her head resting on my chest as her breathing began to calm. I brushed some hair off her cheek and kissed her forehead. She looked up at me with her forest green eyes and a tired smile before kissing my shoulder and closing her eyes. We listened to the rain and she chuckled, "It's a good thing we got the roof fixed."

I laughed, "I was thinking the same thing."

After a while I felt her breathing steady and I knew she was asleep. I closed my eyes and whispered to my sleeping mate.

"I'm pretty sure I'm falling in love with you Adara..."
