The sound of a buzzer slowly crept into my consciousness pulling me out of my sleep state. My eyes fluttered open focusing on the knob of my dresser. The events of last night quickly flooded my brain. I abruptly rolled over to see the man who confessed his love for me. He looked over to me.

“Sorry for waking you. My alarm went off. I didn’t want to over sleep.”

“What time is it?” I asked after clearing my throat.

“What time are you due in today?”

“Noon. You?”

“Noon also.”

“Alright, well I got a couple of hours,” he spoke sitting up.

“A couple hours for what?”

“To devour you since I didn’t last night.” His husky voice penetrated my ears making waves, currents and pulses ripple throughout my body before converging on my core.

I had enough time to inhale deeply before he climbed on top of me. His lips came to mine showing a fierce display of passion. My tongue came forward to touch his. Mewls came from my depth. My hips gyrated against his pelvis teasing him. I felt his fingers ghost over my stomach and hip to move back up to squeeze a breast. Before moving again, he pinched the taut flesh of my nipple. That caused me to shiver and moan out, breaking our kiss. His lips moved to the soft skin of my neck, going lower to my collarbone. I felt two hands on my skin now. His strong hands teased my breasts, squeezing them and rubbing them. He went back to torturing my nipples by pinching more and twisting slightly. Kenneth’s lips moved back up the column of my neck to kiss my lips again. My back arched into his hands and my legs rubbed against his thighs. My hands moved from gripping the sheets to rubbing the muscles in his arms. The feeling of him on my nipples was causing my muscles to pulse chaotically. And his lips on mine had my breath steadily inclining.

Kenneth’s lips abruptly pulled from mine and latched onto one of my hardened nipples. I fell hard on the bed. He repositioned himself, moving lower, supporting his weight on his knees, and allowing his hands free range of motion. His hands pushed both my breasts together and sucked on both my nipples at the same time. I moaned uncontrollably at the feeling of his tongue swirling around them. His name slipped through my lips repeatedly, encouraging him to never stop. My nails pressed into his shoulders and my pelvis moved against his abdomen. The more I squirmed; I was able to rub my jewel against him. Deeper moans came from me now. A sharp pain caused by his teeth ran through my nipples, pulling a yelp out of me. My wide eyes met his as he lifted his lips from my breasts.

“I know what you’re doing,” his husky voice purred. A lone finger wagged in front of my eyes. “Now you have to be punished.”

“Punished?” I sat up on my elbows.

He seemed to ignore me as a hand slid all the way down my body to the center between my legs. Two of his fingers eased their way inside my moist passage.

“Does that feel good?” Kenneth asked as I felt my muscles throb around his fingers.

I nodded my head with a small whimper.

Out of nowhere, his fingers moved inside me with the speed of a piston, curling to press against my most sensitive depth. It felt like the breath was snatched from my lungs. Cries of pleasure and strained gasps poured from my body at the sudden sensations. I fell to the bed again. My legs involuntarily spread wider. My fingers twisted in the sheets. My body thrashed about the bed. Kenneth hovered over me, gazing into my eyes.

“You look so beautiful.” I saw him smile.

Unable to form words for any kind of response, I moaned louder. My muscles squeezed down on him. My breath came in harder pants. My hips rolled into his motions.

“Are you about to cum?”

I nodded my head rapidly.

I saw his smile turn into a smirk and he yanked his hand away from me. My eyes went wide at the cease of motion. He continued to bite back a laugh as he licked his fingers.

“What the hell, Kenneth?” I panted.

“What?” his voice was dripping in feigned innocence.

“That’s not nice,” I glared.

“I know. That’s why it’s called punishment. I was teasing your breasts and you took it upon yourself to pleasure yourself.”

I snickered. “Sorry.

“You’re forgiven, beautiful. Now back to what I was doing.”

His lips went back to kissing my breasts and sucking my nipples. My hands caressed his back and head. My hips rolled and gyrated against him again.

“You want to be punished again?”

“I can’t help it. My breasts are really sensitive. Anything done to them makes me throb. I need to touch myself. They go hand and hand.”

That earned a hearty chuckle from him. “Alright. I’ll give you relief.”

His kisses traveled down my belly to my core. My hips bucked up, anticipating the feelings that were soon to come. His fingers reached up and gripped my nipples harshly. I hissed in pain. His tongue flicked out over my clit. I hissed in pleasure. Kenneth proceeded to work my body into a frenzy. His fingers played with my taut buds sending sweet pain through the nerves while his tongue and lips twirled and suckled on my jewel. My hips rocked and my back arched. One hand held his head against my center and the other held his hand against my breast. The building pressure twisted and coiled inside me.

“I’m cumming,” I panted wildly pushing his head deeper into me.

His free hand left my breast and gripped my wrist removing my hand from his head and releasing his mouth from me. I screamed out in frustration at another ruined orgasm.

“Again?” I yelled.

Kenneth sat up smirking fiendishly at me before capturing my lips. I tasted my sex on his lips. His legs shifted, spreading mine wider over his thighs. A hand slipped between us and moved wildly against my clit. His tongue pushed deeper into my mouth. I moved a hand toward his waist to grab his hard erection but he grabbed my wrist.

“Nope,” was all he said before he went back to kissing my lips. His firm hand held onto my wrist. Kenneth was a lot stronger than I thought he was. The muscles of my chasm fluttered causing more of a flood.

“You like being helpless like this?” he asked into my ear.

I shuddered. “No, I don’t.”

“Don’t lie to me, Charlotte. You know I can feel how slick you are.”

Two of his fingers pushed back inside me making me cry out. He pumped in me with the same frenzied speed. His other hand released my wrist as he stretched to pull open the drawer of a nightstand. I thought about making another grab for his member but decided to just give in to the sensations he sent through me. I heard him rifle through the drawer.

“The condoms are in the other drawer?” he asked me.

I looked up at him. “That’s what you’re looking for? They’re in the bathroom in the medicine cabinet.”

“Why are they in there?” his motions stopped with his questioning.

“I didn’t need them. I haven’t been sleeping with anyone so I put them in the bathroom.”

“It’s probably a used box, almost empty.” He gave me an amused look.

“No,” I scoffed. “It’s a brand new box.”

He grinned and kissed me before sliding off the bed to go to the bathroom. A grin of my own found its way to my lips. Kenneth quickly came back already wearing the condom with the box in hand. He slammed it on the nightstand before positioning himself between my legs.

“I can’t believe you made me get up. That stays in the drawer. Always.” He smiled down at me.

“Yes, sir,” I grinned.

Our lips met again as our hands rubbed all over each other’s body; caressing each other’s neck, shoulders, arms and back. His hand reached between us and he pushed his stiff rod inside me. His thick shaft stretched my chasm, filling me greatly.

“I think you should be punished for not having the condoms within arm’s reach.”

His legs spread my legs wider. His strong hands pinned my hands above my head. Our fingers laced together as his hips rocked into me. Louder cries came from me now and Kenneth moaned as well. The sound of his pleasured voice added to my pleasure. My muscles tightened. His lips pressed and sucked greedily on my neck. The coiling deep within me started. I wrapped my legs around his waist and rolled my hips into him.

“Damn, baby,” he breathed out.

I gripped his fingers tighter as his movements doubled in speed. He was nearing his limit. I hooked a foot around his thigh and shifted my hips ever so slightly. In the midst of his erratic thrusts and lack of attention, I was able to push him over onto his back. Moving quickly, I adjusted my body weight and lifted my hips off him, ruining his impending climax. Holding myself up on my hands, my entrance hovered above his tip. Now it was his turn to stare wide-eyed at my smirk.

“You were very mean to me earlier,” I whispered.

He chuckled as he palmed my cheeks. “You liked it, though.”

He sat up, bringing his lips to mine and pulled me back down to him. My hands rested atop his chest as our lips danced in harmonious pleasure. Wiggling my hips, I eased his throbbing shaft back inside me. My hips rolled and rocked on him bringing sweet pleasure to us both. One of his hands skimmed my back and gripped the flesh of my backside. The sting of a hard slap on my ass caused my back to stiffen. Both his hands rubbed down my thighs and up over my hips to rub my back. The feathered touches were proving to be too much and the angle of my body laying against his allowed my jewel to also be stimulated. My lips pulled away from his to cry out.

“Yes, baby! Make me cum!” I screamed. My hips bucked harder on him as my climax took over my body.

“I’m cumming, too!” he cried out clamping my waist.

I bounced harder until I felt my body release with a rapturous scream. My body fell slack on him. His hands immediately gripped my ass and bucked against me wildly. He groaned loudly with his own climax. I swallowed his cry with a hungry kiss. His hands made their way to my hair as our mouths danced. We parted in need of air and I laid my head down over his heart. I felt his heartbeat even out the longer we were still and his fingers massaged my scalp.

“That was nice,” I huffed.

“Hmm-mmm,” he agreed.

“What was up with you being so mean to me?”

“I like teasing you.” I heard the smile in his voice. “It really turns you on. It makes you wetter.”

“You know too much,” I sighed in response. “What time is it?”

Kenneth shifted over and grabbed what I presumed was his phone. “Time for me to get ready to go.”

Slowly we crawled out of bed and showered. Kenneth took a swig of mouthwash and dressed in his same clothes while I put my robe on. As we walked to the front door, a thought occurred.

“Hey, if you want, you can bring a toothbrush and clothes here, too. I can clear some space for you.”

“Thanks. I’ll bring some stuff over tonight.” Kenneth gave me his infectious smile causing me to do the same.

“Cool. Come over at seven. I’ll cook for you.”

We kissed again and Kenneth left. I dressed for work and grabbed my bags before walking the two doors down to my buddy. I rapped on Janie’s door lightly. She greeted me and the two of us headed downstairs to catch our bus.

“So where is Kenneth?”

“He left. He has to be to work by noon, too.”

“So everything is good with you guys?”

“Yup.” I gave her a cheeky grin.

“I feel bad for putting all those thoughts in your head. I wasn’t trying to discourage you from seeing him. Maybe I was a little, but I just didn’t want you to get hurt again. I’m glad you’re taking a chance with him, though. He really seems to truly be in love with you.”

“Thanks. I’m glad you’re going to be supportive now.”

We walked outside to get on our bus. Once we were seated, I found myself fiddling with my new gift.

“What’s up with that ring?” Janie asked taking notice.

“He gave it to me last night and then asked me to be his girlfriend.”

“A ring to be his girlfriend? That’s new.”

“Actually it was meant for something else but you made him change his mind.”

“Yeah, he didn’t want to cause any hostility between us because he could sense your indifference,” I snickered.

“Are you serious? Well, now I really feel bad. Does he still plan to ask you? Are you ready for that?”

A tiny smile curved my mouth. “I think so. I’m kind of upset he didn’t ask me.”

“You practically just met. Do you think that’s enough time?”

I nodded my head partially ignoring her doubt. “I do think so. But I’m not rushing it. It’ll happen when the time is right.” My face turned serious. “Have you ever felt something so right it touches your soul? I feel pure joy in my soul. I feel him in my soul.”

“And he feels like this?”

“Same feelings, different words.”

“Who loves like that?”

“We love like that.”

“Alright, Charlotte. I throw my hands up. Love him with your soul and I trust you when you say he feels the same way.”

“Thank you best friend,” I beamed.

“It’s like you found love in a week.”

I laughed a loud but she was right. We approached our stop and exited the bus. We said our goodbyes and parted ways. I walked through the door and greeted Melissa.

“Hi Charlotte. Is everything alright, you weren’t in yesterday?”

“Yes, everything is fine. Just needed to handle some stuff.”

“Alright. Well, have a great day!”

“Thank you. You as well.”

I headed back to my cubicle to spend the next six hours doing my assignments. As I worked, I fought to keep my mind clear but I couldn’t. All I could think about was Kenneth. And thinking about Kenneth made me smile. I smiled so much the muscles in my face were starting to become sore but I didn’t mind. In fact, thinking about my face muscles being sore made me smile harder. I looked at the ring Kenneth gave me. My fingertips grazed the polished metal gingerly.

“That’s a nice ring!” A female voice spoke from overhead.

I spun around to see Julie standing behind me. Julie was my work friend who had been on vacation for the past two weeks. We don’t hangout outside of the office. But when we are both here, most of our break time or blowing off work time was spent chatting with each other. Julie’s a plain looking woman who’s a couple years younger than I am. Her flat dark hair and glasses added to her dull look. And there was nothing striking about her facial features but what she lacked in looks, she made up in a bubbly personality.

“Thank you,” I smiled.

“Was it a gift?”

“Yes, it was a gift from my…boyfriend.” I hesitated trying to find the right word.

“That’s so sweet,” she squealed grabbing my hand examining my ring. “I’ve never seen a ring like this before.”

“It’s an inside joke between us.”

“How nice!” She released my hand. “So how long have you two been dating?”

“A couple months.”

“Wow, a couple months. I didn’t even know you had a boyfriend. You don’t talk about him.”

“Well, he was…we were doing the long distance thing in the beginning so it was hard to talk about.”

“Oh, I see. So are you guys still apart?”

“No. There’s no more distance between us now.”

“That’s awesome. Look at your face. You’re smiling ear to ear.”

A blush ran across my cheeks. I didn’t realize I was smiling. Just then, my stomach growled reminding me that I skipped breakfast and the reason why I skipped breakfast. That made me smile harder.

“I’ve never seen this side of you before. I’m glad you two aren’t doing the long distance thing anymore. I need a boyfriend who’s going to make me feel like that.”

We giggled together for a bit.

“I guess I should head back to my dungeon in the corner.”

“It’s almost over,” I smiled.

Soon it was over, Julie and I packed up our belongings, said our farewells to Melissa and headed out the door. After parting ways, I headed to the bus stop to meet Janie. While waiting for the bus we gave our rundown of the day. We laughed at the highlights and complained about the lows until the bus pulled up.

“What time are Randall and Sasha coming?” I asked Janie.

“Between eight and nine. I’m so excited. I can’t wait. Although, part of me hopes Sasha is knocked out when they get here. I want to jump on Randall.”

“Oh my,” I giggled quietly.

“Is Kenneth coming over tonight?”

“Yup and I told him I would make room in my drawer so he doesn’t have to leave so early in the morning.”

“Aren’t you guys moving just a little too fast? It’s only been a week.”

“Two months and seventeen days,” I corrected.

“I’m just looking out for you.”

“I know, you keep telling me. What happened to all that trust from this morning?” A smile raised my cheeks.

“It’s still there but I can be cautious.”

“I’m glad Randall’s back. When he meets Kenny, you’ll be all on board then. Can we meet after work tomorrow?”

“Sure. You’re right, though. I’ll feel a lot better once Randall sizes him up. If Kenneth does turn out to be a nut, Randall can protect us,” she laughed.

My tone softened. “I’ve never felt like this before. I mean I’ve been hopelessly in love but it never felt like this. I’m floating.” I turned to gaze out the window with a dreamy glint in my gold eyes.

“Come on before you float away.” Janie grabbed my hand and pulled me off the bus laughing.

As soon as I entered my home, I went into the kitchen to fix some tuna and cut up vegetables for the tuna salad I was going to serve. I mentally kicked myself for telling Kenneth to come at seven. With less than twenty minutes until his arrival, I wouldn’t have enough time to cook a hot meal. But the thought of being away from him any longer outweighed that. A simple salad would have to do. I made a note to be better prepared the next time. Once dinner was taken care of and plated, I quickly changed into some more comfortable clothing; a tank top and Bermuda shorts. Right on cue, there was a knock on the door. I opened it to reveal a very laxly dressed Kenneth in gray sweatpants and a black tee.

“Hi, beautiful.” He leaned over and pecked my cheek. I closed the door.

“You know, I just thought of something. If you got off work at six like I did, there’s no way you should be here now after stopping at home,” I spoke taking notice of his backpack.

“I got off work early so I could run home and get back here by seven.”

I smiled brightly. “You know, you could have just called me and said you’d be here at eight.”

“Now why would I do a thing like that and spend another sixty minutes away from you,” he smiled back.

While eating, we shared our workday and made plans for our weekend.

“There’s an anime and comic convention this weekend in Mason Ark.”

“Where’s that?”

“About three hours away. I thought maybe after work we could hop a bus, get a hotel room and go to the convention on Friday.”

“Sounds good. Have you been to this convention?”

“Rhett and I went last year. We go to all the conventions around here.”

“Is Rhett going to be mad I’m taking his place?”

“I’ll ask but I don’t think so. He should be fine as long as he goes to the big one in New York City in the fall. That’s the best one. Celebrities are always there, you get access to exclusive information and the people really get into it.”

“That sounds really fun. I’d like to go to that. I didn’t think Rhett would be into our stuff.” I snickered a little.

“Well he wasn’t at first but he learned a thing or two from hanging with me. Plus, there’s one key component that always spikes his interest…”

“The female cosplayers,” I interjected.

“Yeah,” he chuckled. “It’s cool to see everyone get into it, though. People are surprisingly creative.”

“Will this one be like that?”

“The floor is not as big and the crowd is slimmer but it’s still a good time. Wear comfortable sneakers, there’s a lot of walking.”

“Oh, before we leave, can I introduce you to Janie’s fiancé, Randall?”

“Another interview?” He laughed.

“Yes, but I promise it won’t be as bad.”

“Sure, beautiful.”

We continued to talk more about the conventions he’s been to and hash out the specific details for our trip; bus fare, hotel prices, ticket prices. After dinner and cleaning up the kitchen, we headed to my bedroom.

“So how much stuff did you bring?” I asked pointing to his backpack.

“I brought a pair of sweatpants, a tee, two work shirts, a pair of pants, underclothes, deodorant and a toothbrush.”

“Alright.” I walked over to one of the dressers and emptied a drawer for his belongings. “You can put your stuff here.”

“Thanks.” Kenneth put his clothes in the drawer. “So where are you going to put that stuff.”

“I’ll hang it up in the closet tomorrow.” I dumped the clothes in my desk chair for the time being.

The night progressed as we sat on the bed watching an anime series on Netflix. Being here beside him felt so surreal. I really did feel like I was floating. Kenneth caught me admiring the new addition to my right hand.

“How did you know my ring size?” I asked.

“You told me a while ago.”

My eyes squinted at him. “When?”

“You mentioned it almost a month ago. You were telling me about the time you took some of your mother’s jewelry to a jeweler to sell. You kept her wedding band but couldn’t wear it because the size seven was one size too small.”

“You pay attention I see. That should make being your girlfriend really easy.” I continued to finger my new accessory.

“Do you like it?” Kenneth asked. His tone changed to the deep one that always spiked my nerves.

“Yes. It’s beautiful. I’ve never been asked to be someone’s girlfriend quite so formally.”

“I didn’t plan on asking you to be my girlfriend last night.”

“I know,” I grinned.

“After lunch with Janie, I figured it was too soon to pop that particular question but I still didn’t want to ask you to be my girlfriend.”

I looked him in the eyes with confusion.

“The word girlfriend just seems too…small to convey what you are to me.”

I turned to him. I took his hands in mine, turning him to me. “Tell me again what I mean to you.”

“You are the other half of me. You are the missing piece of me. I didn’t even know I was missing pieces until I met you. Each time we talked, I felt a stronger sense of self. I felt stronger as a man and it got even stronger when I saw you and that smile for the first time. Every time we were apart, I felt antsy and couldn’t figure out why. Without you by my side, I’m incomplete. I don’t know if there is a word for this but I know girlfriend just isn’t it.”

My breathing labored as I listened to his confession and relief washed over me knowing I wasn’t the only one with these intense feelings. His continued words caught my attention again.

“That night I left you here, it took everything I had in me to leave. My feelings were weirding me out and I was afraid the longer I was with you I would end up saying or doing something that would make you really uncomfortable. As I rode back home, all I could see was that hurt look in your eyes so I came back.”

“All I could think about was you abandoning me after you had your way with me, ’cause you left like a real asshole.”

He snickered. “I know. Not my best move. I’m sorry for that, beautiful. I thought you were going to tell me you didn’t want to see me again. That’s the other reason I rushed back here like a crazy person.” He smiled and I did, too.

“I’ve been abandoned quite a bit,” I started as my smile faded. “In that moment I just felt…empty. It’s funny. When I’m with you I don’t think about, well it’s more like I can’t remember the things of my past. It wasn’t until yesterday that I was reminded that I had been down this road before. And I panicked. But I’ve never felt quite like this before.” I paused briefly, swallowing the mass of emotion in my throat. “I meant what I said; I don’t care if I get hurt again. I want to stay with you even if I end up hurt the same way.”

Kenneth shook his head. “I promise you, I will do everything in my power not to hurt you, Charlotte.”

The words took a while to come to my throat. The waves of happiness repeatedly washed over my entire body.

“I believe you and I will do everything in my power not to hurt you, Kenny.” I slid my hands from his and stared at the ring again. “The words girlfriend and boyfriend do seem too small. This, us, it seems so much bigger.” I pulled the ring off, slid it on to my left hand, and looked in his eyes. “Ask me.”

His eyes jumped from mine down to my hand and back again. “Are you sure?”

I nodded my head.

“You don’t think it’s too early?”

I shook my head.

He slid off the bed down to one knee and grabbed my hand. His eyes stared in mine for a long time before he spoke. “Charlotte, will you marry me?”

I was nodding my head before he finished the question. “Yes, Kenneth,” I rushed out throwing my arms around his neck, falling onto the floor and latching my lips to his.
