Naia: The Beginning
I loved him. Kaiden Jackson. I wanted so much to be Mrs. Jackson. But I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t marry him at that moment. I had a lot of things planned in my life ahead for myself. I should have said No to him when he asked and told him my reasons why but I didn’t. I didn’t want to hurt his feelings. I honestly couldn’t say No to him. Not to someone I wanted to spend my life with. My forever with. Just not right now.
As I sit here in this beautiful wedding gown, I look at myself in the mirror. “Is this what I really want to do right now? Get married?” I ask myself. I don’t know if I can go through with this. I have to leave. I will leave him a note but I have to go right now.
’Dear my love,
I am sorry to do this to you on our wedding day. But, I cannot marry you yet. Not right now. Just know that it is not your fault and I do want to have you in my life forever. I love you and I always will.′
I write on a piece of paper, with his name on it and leave it on the table where he will be able to see it. I quickly change and head out through an open window. I hear the bells ringing from the church as I run down to the end of the street. I hailed down a taxi and get in. ‘Where to, miss?’ the driver asked. ‘The airport. And quickly if you can,’ I say, taking a deep breath.
I hope I am doing the right thing.
‘I love you Kaiden. Please don’t ever change and don’t ever think that any of this was your fault,’ I mutter to myself.
