Chapter 1: The Castle
I left the King of Rogues Island and went with my grandparents to the castle. My grandparents were excited for me to come and stay in the castle. I had been here for two weeks and thought it was beautiful. I was treated with respect, but I think it was because I would soon be queen.
My wolf wanted to run but we cannot change. I thought I had another mate, and he is somewhere in the castle. I would catch a slight scent of chocolate and coffee. I don’t want another mate; I don’t want to be hurt again. I have a bad feeling that he hates me and will reject me.
I was talking to grandma and her best friend Lillia. She is nice. I walked down to the water and walked to my knees. I held my dress up so it would not get wet.
"Sara, our other mate is here. He is watching us. His wolf says he hates us and thanks we are spoiled. We are not spoiled."
"His wolf Cameron" said his human is going to reject us.
"We cannot go through that again."
" I say if it happens, we find someone who does not have a mate or whose mate has died. "
I turned and looked up at the second floor and saw a man standing on the second-floor balcony.
I heard him growl.
"He hates us. We didn’t do anything to him. We need to be ready for the rejection Sara."
I watched as he turned and walked into the room.
"What did we ever do to make our mates reject us for whores, and this one we don’t know why he hates us? We don’t know what we did."
"I want to go back to the island Sara. I don’t like it here."
I looked at my grandmother and told her I was going to my room. I walked into the house and up to my bedroom and lay on my bed.
"He is going to reject us today Sara. We need to be ready for it."
"I will protect the baby from the pain, but I can’t protect you at the same time. I am sorry for that."
" No, you protect our baby.:
I stood up and walked downstairs and stood on the balcony.
" We might as well get it over with. "
I thought about my last mate. Cash rejected me by sleeping with that whore.
I ran. I tried to kill myself. But the King of Rogues saved me. He took me away to his private island. My grandparents came to see me. They wanted me to go back with them to the castle. I agreed. I am after all the next in line to become the queen. I guess I would be better off there. But how was I to know that I would find another mate?
My grandparents’ best friend Lillia’s grandson. I saw her standing there on the balcony. She left her mate. I don’t want a mate who is spoiled because she will be our queen. I turned and saw him standing there I looked into his eyes and saw hatred. Not another mate who hates me.
" Just get it over with and reject me."
" I’m sorry but I can’t have a mate who leaves her first mate and is spoiled because she will be queen."
I started laughing and then said, "you don’t know what you are talking about."
" I didn’t leave any of my mates. They all rejected me by fucking whores. I don’t need or want another mate. So just get it over with."
" I Ryan reject you Sara" as “Don’t do it his grandmother yelled” "my mate and Luna."
I grabbed my chest falling to the ground. I looked at my grandfather and said,
"I want to go back to the King of Rogues Island. Grandpa, please take me back to him. He cares about me. No one else does."
I watched as the King picks up my ex-mate and carried her from the room.
I then felt a sting on my cheek.
"What have you done Cameron?"
" You should never have rejected your mate."
" Grandma, she is pregnant by her other mate. She left him. I don’t want a mate who is selfish even though she will be queen."
"Camron, she did not leave her mate. He rejected her and their baby. He fucked another whore. She had five mates. Now all of you have rejected her."
" She is spoiled."
" She was raised with wolves Camron. She is not spoiled. She has no mate left. You were her last. You will be the final straw. She will most likely kill herself after the baby is born."
"You are a selfish spoiled boy, and you have not changed. You know nothing about what she has gone through. I hope you have a second chance mate out there somewhere."
" Because she has none now. She and her wolf can choose another mate, but not a true mate. I promise you Camron you will wish you had never rejected her."
"What did she mean by take her back to the island and the Rouge King?"
" Just that. She wants to go back to his island. And her grandfather has agreed."
We heard a chopper lifting off.
"That is your rejected mate leaving. She is going home as she asked. You will not see her until it is time for her to take the throne. You would have been king. But not now."
