Rhydian stood at the top of the stairs, running his hand through his hair. All he had was shorts on, which were hanging off him loosely, showcasing his prominent V line. His abs were distracting me, I couldn’t peel my eyes from him.

So, I definitely didn’t think this through.

“Amaris, what’s wrong?” He asked, huskily. I blinked a few times, watching him descend down the stairs. Every step he made, my eyes moved with him. Admiring his whole body. I could hear Ria sniggering behind me, I whipped my head around and scowled at her.

“You.” I pointed at him, “You need to make Ria your Gamma,” I huffed. He raised his brow at me, his lips curled into an amused smile. “You woke everyone up to demand Ria becomes the Gamma?” He asked. I nodded my head, “Yes.” I stated, “And you’ll give her it.” I declared. He chuckled then looked behind me, I turned my head and Ria was glaring at me.

“Sorry, Alpha. The wine has gone to her head.” She bowed her head, apologising. “Fuck off, I’m not drunk.” I groaned. He glanced at me again and smirked before chuckling. “Ria, we’ll talk tomorrow.” He announced. Ria nodded her head at him and went to grab my arm to pull me away. I stomped my foot and growled at her. “No!” I protested. She flinched back and let go.

“You’ll give her the position now,” I ordered, poking Rhydian’s chest. As soon as my finger touched his chest, shocks shot up my arm. I gasped and pulled my hand away. I placed my fingers against his chest just to feel the sparks again. His eyes flashed black for a second before returning to normal. “Amaris.” He warned. I chuckled and rolled my eyes, “Alpha.” I retorted.

Goddess, I need to shut up. I’m taunting the Alpha in front of everyone, this isn’t going to end well.

“Just give her the position and I’ll leave,” I said, placing my hands on my hips... So much for shutting up. His eyes flashed black and stayed this time. He grabbed my arm roughly but not enough to hurt me. “Everyone leave.” He ordered. Everyone scurried back to their rooms, Ria left and I’m assuming went back to my house.

“Are you drunk, Amaris?” He questioned, his eyes roaming over my body. I rolled my eyes and tried pulling my arm from his grasp. “No. Now get off me.” I deadpanned. His eyes shot up to mine and I scoffed. “Don’t worry, it’s still me,” I remarked sarcastically. “Do you know how embarrassing that was?” He growled. I raised my brow at him, his voice was slighter deeper.

I chuckled making him growl again, trying to get me to submit. If I wasn’t on a high from the wine, I would have shut up and apologised... But my mouth had different ideas.

“I’m guessing really embarrassing,” I answered back smirking. He let my arm go and stepped back. He closed his eyes and clenched his fists at his side. He was struggling for control. Now would have been the perfect time to go home, to sleep the rest of the wine off. Instead, I stepped in front of him and placed my hands against his chest, he breathed in quickly. I peered at him, “Something wrong?” I asked.

He opened his eyes, he was breathing heavily. “I’m really struggling right now.” He spoke through gritted teeth, “Struggling with what?” I asked, as innocently as I could. I flexed my fingers against his chest, dragging them down further. He let out a sound that was a mixture of a strangled growl and a groan. He stepped further back, I moved closer until his back was against the stair rail. “Amaris, fuck.” He cursed, screwing his eyes shut.

“That’s the idea, Alpha.” I purred.

Amaris, stop!′ Aurora growled. ′I’ve been blocked out by the wine, you don’t want this.

“But I do want this,” I answered back, out loud. He opened his eyes and stared at me.

Not like this.′ She whined. ′Amaris, this isn’t right. You know it’s not.

I huffed and tried pushing her back. I knew it wasn’t right, but I wanted nothing more than to be with Rhydian right now. I wanted him to take away the memories, I wanted him to make me forget.

Noah.′ Aurora growled.

I gasped and staggered back. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry,” I blurted. Rhydian reached for me, I held my hand up to stop him as bile rose in my throat. I ran up the stairs taking two at a time, heading for a bathroom. I went into the bathroom and fell down by the toilet. Once I’d finished, I flushed the toilet and slumped back against the wall. My throat burned and my head hurt.

I’m so fucking stupid! I know how reckless I can be when I’ve had a drink. I held my head in my hands as I started crying. The comedown from alcohol is a killer, and I made an absolute fool of myself. There was a short knock on the door. “Go away,” I choked out. The door opened and Rhydian poked his head around. “Amaris.” He cautioned. I lifted my head up and looked at him.

He came into the bathroom and closed the door behind him. He sat down on the floor opposite me, crossing his legs. He didn’t speak, he just sat there silently. I glanced at him, his face held no emotion and that was terrifying me. Have I just ruined it before it begun?

“I’m sorry,” I whispered, bringing my knees to my chest. “I didn’t mean to do what I did,” I said and I meant it. He raised his brow at me and cocked his head, “You didn’t?” He asked, carefully. I shook my head quickly, “I never should have taunted you in front of everyone.” I sighed.

He let out a breath and sighed. “Don’t worry about it, most see you as their Alpha anyway.” He chuckled lightly. “I’m sorry I tried forcing myself on you.” I cringed. He chuckled again then took a deep breath. “Did you mean to do that?” He blurted, “I mean, of course, you didn’t.” He quickly added.

“I saw you struggling and I carried on... I shouldn’t of. I never meant to disrespect you both or anything.” I said. He looked at me shocked, “You think I was fighting control because Ryder felt disrespected?” He asked. I nodded my head, biting on my bottom lip.

He laughed and shook his head, “No, Amaris.” He chuckled. “I was fighting control because he wanted me to take you.” He admitted. “I wanted to, it was taking all my self-control not too.” I raised a brow at him, “Take me where?” I questioned, confused.

“I wanted to fuck you.” He stated.

My jaw dropped, my eyes went wide and I felt all tingly between my legs. I couldn’t speak, my mind was foggy.

“Oh.” I managed to squeak out.

Images of Rhydian laid on top of me were flashing through my mind. I was struggling to breathe and between my legs was aching, I could feel a wetness pooling in my panties. I squeezed my legs together in an attempt to stop it. This has never happened before, I don’t know how to stop it.

I know what he means and what he wanted to do but I’ve never spoken about it with anyone. If someone mentions it, I shut down and don’t listen.

The thought of doing it with Rhydian both excites and terrifies me.
