Of all the stars,
Of all the galaxies,
Of all the possibilities and timelines,
How did I end up finding you?
What a wonderful sight to see.
Through the faint milky cloud, a bright star shines with an army of other blinking night lights. They flicker and move about the cosmic dancefloor. Dancing around in a fluid, leisurely pace. But even though so much of you exist, you're the only one I seek.
Curious, I ask:
What are you?
Where am I? And how about you?
Can you hear me?
Where are you going?
But you never answer. You remain quiet, hiding behind closed doors. Although, in reality it's anything but that. Over light years filled with nothing, it seems like there aren't even any boundaries at all.
But I, this tiny speck of dark blue across a sea of vacuum that continuously stretches, stars and planets revealing more space so vast, not even the loudest shouts could travel.
Well, a boundary is still a boundary.
I grew too curious and too desperate. But knowing I could never reach you breaks me even further. My voice is too silent and you are too far. Will you ever look my way?
I wonder what stories you would tell.
I wonder what secrets you're hiding.
I wonder how much it takes just to reach you, to catch you,
to hold you.
