I shake my head 'no' and push my milkshake away, not having an appetite for it anymore. "That's not a mistake, Leo. I know it's not. A doctor doesn't just make up something like that."
Everything went quiet and still. I raise my hand up in the air and call for the check.
Alex got annoyed that I tried to pay for the meal but he eventually let me pay for it anyways, and I heard him mutter something that sounded a lot like 'stubborn' to me.
We settled into his black sports car and buckled up. "Where to next, m'lady?" Leo said. I exhaled and ran a shaky hand through my hair. "I dont really feel like going home right now, can we go to your place for a while please?" I mutter. He stared at me for a while before nodding and starting up the car and backing slowly out of the parking lot. I pull the corner of my lip in-between my teeth as I stared out of the window, watching the world whir by in a blur.
I clench my hands in fists in my lap to keep them from trembling. crazy. But then my knee starts to bounce up and down uncontrollably.
I shoot a quick glance at Leo who was tapping out a nervous beat on the steering wheel. I sigh and ask, "How are you and Cameron?"
Some of the tension in the car gets released and I exhale before he responds, "Good, I guess."
Leo and Cameron had started dating about three months ago. I didnt like cameron. For one, she always gave me the creeps, for two...well I don't have a second reason I just didn't like her.
I was pulled out of my thoughts by the sound of my phone ringing. I extract it from my hip pocket with shaky fingers.
My breath gets caught in my throat when I see it's my father. Sliding the answer button, I slowly raise it up to my ear.
"H-hello?" I stammer.
"Young lady you get home right this instant, your mother and I are worried sick about you! If you aren't home by 8:00, there will be concenquenses!" I wince as he yelled into the phone.
Leo looked over at me as I quickly hung up on him and turned my phone on silent. "Keep going," I whisper.

I sprung up drenched with sweat and chills. My eyes adjust to the darkness and then wonder around the unfamilar room, soon realizing that it belongs to Leo.
His football trophies, the sage green walls, the game counsels and computer moniters everywhere.
"Dammit!" I screech and throw the thick cover of of me and climb out of the bed. "Leo?" I call out into the darkness. Silence.
Moving to the door, I carefully open it and peek part of my head out. There were no lights on downstairs, just the sound of the fridge whirring.
"Leo?" I whisper-yell. Still no answer.
Very cautiously, I move downstairs, holding on to the rail
"Leo?" I said a bit louder. And I spot him on the couch with his back towards me, a phone pressed to his ear.
I quickly kneel on the last step and lean my head against the wooden railing.
"I miss you too babe," I hear him say.
"No no, we can't meet right now I'm busy."
He listened to what the person on the other side had to say before sighing and saying, "I'll make it up to you tomorrow. Yes don-"
I start towards him.
"Leo?"
His head snapped up and he turned towards me. "What is it, you okay? "
"Who are you talking to?" I ask, nodding my head towards the phone against his ear.
"Cameron. Are you okay?" he repeated. I nod. He told Cameron he'd call her back and hung up, tossing the phone to the side and standing up. As he reached for my arm, I quickly take a step back. "I have to get home. " I say.
He looks at me confused before holding his hands up. "Sorry, I forgot,"
"Take me home, please" I plead. "It's getting late and my parents might be worried."
"Okay," he said, adjusting his green hoodie. Half of his reddish-brown hair stuck out ftom under and it and his green eyes glistened under the moonlight.
I always thought that Leo looked like the other Toby from creepypasta except with less attitude.
I shuddered violently at the thought of my dad's hands around my throat when I get home.
I shift in my seat uncomfortably as we pulled into my driveway. "So Leo, "
"Yes?" he replied almost as quickly.
"Are you walking me up or not?" I ask him. "I don't really wanna go in alone."
Leo already knew how violent my father was, he just didn't say anything most of the time. He knew I had scars and wounds everywhere but for the sake of his life he kept quiet.
My father was an total socio-path and he seemed to enjoy the thought of killing and hurting people.
I stuck close to Leo as we walked to the front door, my arms tingling with every step.
"Let me get my keys," I say, backing up. I quickly dig around my bag and fish out my keychain with my golden key on it.
Leo moved aside, careful not to touch me as I leaned down to unlock the door.
As soon as I turned the key in the lock, it swung open and my father stood there, grinning like an total idiot.
"The whore is finally home, eh? "
I turned to Leo with a shaky smily across my face. "I'll see you tomorrownat school, 'kay?" I whisper. Before he could even respond, I was being dragged into the house by my hair.
I scream as I was threw onto the marble floor and tackled.
"Get off of me!" I yell, throwing punches at my father's chest. He grabbed my head banged it against the floor, yelling, "Shut up, you ungratful bitch!" I scream. "Stop it!"
A sharp sting surged through my cheek and my head was suddenly snapped to the side. He smacked me.
Grabbing a fistful of my hair, he forced my eyes to meet his. "How many times to I have to tell you to stay away from that boy, you damn whore!" he yells before throwing a punch to my stomach.
I flinch, enduring the pain. "Y-you're not the boss of me. If you d-idn't want me in the first place, you should've never had me," I grunt out in pain before everything goes black.
